@thedomesticgeek, I'm so sorry that you're dealing with the stress of this, but I'm glad things checked out okay and that there's an explanation for your symptoms! Is there anything they can do to treat a cyst?
@bblair24 We're not sure it is a cyst but my symptoms are making it seem like it could be, they'll confirm at my ultrasound in 2 weeks. The cysts go away on their own after the 1st trimester. I think I had one with my daughter? But that was almost 9 years ago when I was pregnant with her, so I don't remember much. This might as well be my first pregnancy, it's been so long it feels like a lifetime ago.
I had shooting left sided pain yesterday. It was disconcerting, but it passed. Today I was spotting a small amount of dark red/black blood.
I sent my OB a message but I’m pretty nervous. I had an emergency open abdominal and pelvic surgery 7 years ago that left a fair amount of scarring so ectopic is my biggest fear. No emergency signs right now so I’m staying home and hoping she says I can come in for a placement scan.
@kvh22 You said you had SCH with your last pregnancy? Was it a successful pregnancy? I had bleeding Sunday night, went to the ER and they diagnosed SCH, but the baby still had a healthy heartbeat. Bleeding returned this morning with a HUGE clot. I wasn't able to get to my regular OBGYN because I live in Texas and there's a storm coming, but I went to a new one close to my house for an ultrasound and the hematoma seemed to be gone (she said it was probably the clot, the hematoma was 4cm). The baby still has a heartbeat but is like a week smaller than my OBGYN thought (new doctor pushed my due date back six days, put me at 6 weeks, 4 days). Also, I'm still bleeding? Every doctor is just like, "You're either going to miscarry or you're not." Which is not helpful at all. I'm so tired of being scared about this.
@mamasnek I did and she's 15 months old now 🥰 mine was 5cm but a little further along (I was 9 weeks when the bleeding started). A lot of the moms in my last BMB had them and most of them actually bled it out basically but mine turned into a clot so after my initial bleed, it didn't get bigger but it didn't come out, either. You rarely hear about it causing MCs but it's terrifying when it's you and there's still that small chance. I totally understand how scary it is. Hugs!
@rexnie thinking of you! Dark blood is older blood 🤞
Thanks all. Still some bloody discharge today and intermittent cramping. They said it’s too early to check for anything at 5w3d but booked me for a viability scan next Wednesday.
@mamasnek I had an SCH with my daughter. The ER told me it was a threatened miscarriage, but my actual doctor told me that since there was a heartbeat that everything was fine and normal. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers, bleeding is so scary.
@thedomesticgeek OMG my mental state was not good while I had the SCH and NO ONE called it a "threatened miscarriage." I did have the doctor I could get in with when it starred (who wasn't mine) tell me I was probably miscarrying when I explained what happened without even looking at me and then she was all surprised when my cervix was closed and *I* had to ask *her* if it was a SCH when I was leaving. On the phone, my OB had said that there are so many normal reasons for bleeding in a healthy pregnancy so I had been reassured and then this doctor had the WORST bedside manner.
I took a mini mind vacation for about a week because I was experiencing some mild bleeding, and I went into anxious-mode expecting the worse due to my previous losses. I had my appointment today and thankfully all came out well, I am over the moon. I just have a mild case of SCH, but baby is right on track measuring 7w3d with a strong HB of 174. I'm continuing to pray, and I'm keeping all of my fingers and toes crossed. New due date is 4/17/21! Thanks for your support ladies
I had some brownish/pinkish discharge last night - second time since I found out I was pregnant. I think everything is fine but I called my doctor just in case and they're having me come for an ultrasound this afternoon to check. I'm simultaneously terrified and happy - happy because I was previously scheduled for my US on Tuesday and was going out of my mind waiting, but now I'm terrified because of the spotting and wondering if I want to know the results (obviously I do, I'm just spiraling). Sending everyone who's going through this much love because god is this anxiety provoking. They never mention crippling anxiety as a first trimester "symptom", do they?
Thanks everyone Doctor says everything looks good and baby has a heartbeat of 132 bpm! So far so good - praying there are no more of these scares! Wishing you all the best as well

@mamasnek thinking of you too! I wish doctors could give better answers than what they're telling you. Hoping the scary part is over soon!
