@inthewoods23 I've been awake since 4am for absolutely no reason. I hate it. Saturday I was also up at 4, yesterday I was up at 7. What's happening to me?! Normally I'm up UNTIL 4 not AT 4.

My sleep was disturbed this morning, so I think my temp is off. Yesterday, I temped after camping out, so who knows what the drinks around the campfire and a night in a tent did to them!

@emeraldduchess love s'mores!! This past week I had a Reese's smoreo. That's an Oreo, Reese's cup, toasted marshmallow, topped with another Oreo. It was AMAZING!

@bows22 I think it would be funny if we did a GTKY of people we've heard who haven't tried/tasted/done X thing until they were [age that is way too old to have never done that thing].

I found out, maybe this winter, that my SIL's BF hadn't built a snowman ever in his life until last year. We live in WI for Pete's sake, how have you grown up never building a snowman??

@bows22 it's always fun to see your grandparents experience something for the first time. My grandmother got her first pedicure the day before my wedding (she was 80). She was SO cute sitting in the chair giggling while they pumiced her feet and did all the exfoliating/massaging.

@inthewoods23 My SIL have never been sledding until 2 years ago. I would understand if she had grown up somewhere warm with no snow, but no, she grew up in CT like my brother and I did. It snows in the winter, so no excuse!

@emeraldduchess YESS to smores! I haven't had one yet this year, but now I really want one! That is so adorable about your grandmother! Likewise, my mom had never had a mani/pedi until I took her the day before my wedding last year.

that story about your grandmother is adorable!! Truly a special memory for you.

I have a friend who never learned to ride a bike, which I didn't know until we went on vacation together in college, signed up for a city bike ride tour, and rented our bikes- she got on the bike and could not figure it out, and then told us she thought she'd be able to learn on the fly. Didn't work!

@_orchid_ I haven't been on a bike in 26 years. I took a really bad spill when I was 12 and just couldn't get back on. I probably couldn't figure out how to ride one again.

@emeraldduchess I think it would depend on how long you were riding before that- I rode all the time as a kid, and then didn't get on for 10 years. But when I did it came right back. Going fast makes me nervous though where it never did before. Sorry to hear about your big spill! Did you break anything?

@_orchid_ I'm actually really embarrassed by it, but I also don't know how to ride a bike. I took a class offered by a local bicycle association several years ago, but was too short for the bikes they had so never got past the first step (which was scooting around with the pedals removed so you got used to the feel of balancing...I couldn't get enough leverage to go more than a couple of inches of scooting, so they wouldn't put my pedals back on).

@akoros that was brave of you for going to the class! Getting the right-sized bike makes a huuuge difference though, so if you get the chance to try again with a frame your size that could help. Have you ever done a spin class? It's different bc you don't have to balance but helps you build some of the muscles that could help. But at least you know that you wouldn't sign up for a bike tour! When we went in college we literally didn't find out until the tour guide was starting to leave the parking lot. We were a bit frustrated with my friend bc if she had told us we would've done something else instead! We made a split second decision to go bc we were on the bikes already and then felt guilty the whole time about going.

@_orchid_ Yeah, I need to find myself a child-sized bike. I've done spin classes and enjoyed them, and yes, I would never sign up for a bike tour! It was her mistake for not telling you, I wouldn't feel badly about continuing on with the tour. I think the biggest thing right now is nailing the balance and getting over the fear of falling (this is why you learn this stuff as a kid, when you're naive/stupid and fearless)

@mindyb2019 right?? But it totally looks like something you'd keep on your counter or maybe a cabinet. Just don't ask a guest to pull out your blender or they may be in for an unpleasant surprise 😂 I'm just gonna stick with using my cup wash stored in the bathroom cabinet - something much more reasonable sounding

@DoubleUp8 I think it's amazing how it will do that when you clicked on something ONCE. However, the 1 wacky thing you would actually like to see again is never to be seen again. Someone in a FB group had mentioned this silicone scrubber thing that sticks to the shower wall to help get your shedding hair off your hands. It showed up as a sponsored post for her one day but she struggled to find it again and we were all so intrigued but mad that it probably would never pop up again. She eventually found it and we all got so excited lol

Omg, could you Imagine a guest pulling that out by mistake thinking it was a blender or chopper 😂 Storing it in a bathroom cabinet sounds more reasonable. To be honest, I’ve never even used one of those cups things before in my life. They freak me out lol I just don’t understand them!?

@mindyb2019 on a whim I decided I wanted to give them a try earlier this summer. Mostly because I was sick of having to make sure I had enough tampons for AF but also because they're more eco friendly. It's been really fantastic so far and this cycle was only my 3rd time using it. Placement can be a bit of a struggle, but I went through the same thing learning tampons.

@chindimples04 oh no! What did they settle on? All this changing is so stressful. Also is the teacher-hate strong where you are too? I've been trying to stay off social media bc so many people are mad at the teachers- like any of this was our choice!! My district is starting all virtual for gen Ed students, all teachers in the buildings for live streamed teaching, and ESL and special ed students coming into the buildings during the week.
