WAYDTGKU: still waiting for the flow to go

R/R: I have a bunch of bookings for my Rover gig today and tomorrow (yayyy money!) and I just picked up being a book rep with Usborne. 🙈 I have a book problem, might as well earn free books. 🤣 My rant is someone we know and have been near their family tested positive for COVID which has left me super panicky lately!

    CS/Q: nothing fun yet

GTKY: What meal of the day is your favorite: breakfast, lunch, dinner, other?

Love the timing of dinner with breakfast food!

WAYDTGKU: Not sure yet. Need to sit down with DH and see if hes ready to try again this first cycle or not or if he wants to sit it out till next month.

R/R: Yay!! I get to be over here now. My period came yesterday and I finally get to belong somewhere again.

    *TW*

My first period came again exactly 4 weeks to the day after my loss so my body is resetting and going back to normal quickly which I'm happy for. I hate the waiting in between. Its kind of bitter sweet. I've never been so excited to see my period but it was super emotional for me and dug deep. 💔 Just reminded me of my loss and things are more real now. :( But on that note, I’m excited to get going and try again for my rainbow 🌈 I have lots of hope and faith these next few months.

    CS/Q: nothing right now

GTKY: What meal of the day is your favorite: breakfast, lunch, dinner, other? I’d have to say that dinner is my fav meal. I love a good awesome big fancy dinner. It’s nice to sit in the evening with family and friends or go out for dinner with some drinks. My favourite dinners are at thanksgiving or Christmas!

@chindimples04 dinner with breakfast food is also great. I agree! We used to eat breakfast for dinner a lot when I was a kid. My mom would make it and it was awesome. Yay for money! Lol that’s great you have some gigs. GL with those. Oh no! I hope they will be ok with the COVID and you and your family don’t catch it.

@chindimples04 I had to look up Rover and Usbourne since I haven't heard of either before! Hooray for money. I am sorry to hear that about the COVID exposure. I hope it won't affect you.

@mindyb2019 Yay! Hooray for AF (how often does one get to say that?) and welcome back to the dailies. Hopefully you won't be here for very long. Do you feel ready to try again? Are you worried YH might not be? You've gone through a very traumatic experience and I understand both the desire to get back into it & also letting yourselves heal emotionally / mentally as well as physically. Good luck!

WAYDTGKU: what am I not doing?

R/R: rant -- W(here)TF is my LH surge? Honestly, I'm super pissed off and currently thinking that I might be headed for an an-O cycle. But still holding out hope. EW is there; cervix is super high up; RHR is up; CB A-OPKs have been flashing at me for the past 3 days. The only things that's missing is a peak/positive OPK. Sigh.

CS/Q: unclear what's happening here either; Pre-mom is steady as she goes (bbt thermometer AM reads) but if I were looking at FF only (Tempdrop readings), you’d think I O’ed already. Except no positive OPK.

GTKY: What meal of the day is your favorite: breakfast, lunch, dinner, other? I've always loved going out for breakfast (great way to eat at top restaurants without paying dinner-service prices), but since the quarantine started, DH and I have been getting better at cooking for ourselves, so I've really come to appreciate dinner. And with the purchase our latest toy (a smoker), we're stepping up our dinner game even more!

WAYDTGKU: Tracking, but currently TTA because we don’t have results yet. With this being FW I’m trying to accept that I am out this month. If we get results Monday or Tuesday that are normal, we may be able to get some timing in, but it seems unlikely.

R/R: Rant at slow genetic results? I’m probably being way over cautious but I would just hate to find out too late that we shouldn’t have tried naturally.

CS/Q: OPKs starting to show something so probably within a few days. Trying to focus on the positive that at least my body seems to be doing what it needs to do on time!

GTKY: What meal of the day is your favorite: breakfast, lunch, dinner, other?

Brunch is for sure the winner! In the before-times, we used to go to this super cute brunch place by the lake, and those were my favorite meals. One day!

@chindimples04 I hope you have fun with the puppies this weekend!

    @mindyb2019 TW loss

    Hugs  ❤️

I cried when I first realized it had started. You want things to be back to normal, but then when they are it feels very final. I’m with you. I hope you can do something nice for yourself this weekend. Good things are coming for us 😊

  • @acleverusername I know right!? You don’t get to say that too often. No one usually wants AF to come. LOL. Thanks. I’m happy to be back in the dailies. Makes me feel normal again. Ya I feel ready to try again. For me personally, waiting more time isn’t going to change how I feel about things. Of course I miss my son, but I will always feel that way no matter how much time passes. I think for me I just really miss being PG and want to feel that way again. I don’t have time to waist as I’m getting older and older so I would like it if we could try again right away. I’m the type of person that never gives up and just needs to keep busy moving forward. I’m worried that my DH might not be on the same page as me right now and might want to wait more time or think about it which will be hard for me cause I’m an eager beaver lol. I’m sorry your pissed off. I sure hope your LH surge comes soon. I’ve been there before waiting and waiting and then I finally O. Hang in there girl. It’s coming! I also use the CB A -OPKs. I love them. Mmm, that smoker sounds a amazing. My DH would so love that. He loves all the smoked meats etc. What have you made in it so far?
  • @fitzfizz TW Loss

I feel ya there friend. I was happy I got it at first and then I started to really cry out of nowhere. I never realized how emotional it would be this time around actually getting it. It’s tough cause it just feels so real and final and you officially know your back to the drawing board :( Yes girl, good things are sure coming for us indeed. I have faith that you and I will get our rainbow 🌈 FX for us.
Sorry you are still waiting on genetics testing. I know that feeling lol. I literally just got mine back yesterday. What results are you waiting on? It’s tough to wait and I found it made me anxious. Hope it comes soon for you.
  • @chindimples04 I had an annoying experience with an Usborne party but the books I ordered were really nice! I was impressed.

@mindyb2019 I have a feeling YH will be on board with whatever you want to do ❤️. You guys have been through a lot, but I’m glad your body is getting you ready to try again.

@acleverusername I hope your body is just gearing up to release a really strong egg!

@fitzfizz is someone supposed to call you with the results or will they just be posted somewhere? If a call I would totally call on Monday. I know given your profession you probably don’t want to be that annoying person but it does pay off sometimes haha

R/R: DH was asking today when it’s time to “get started” - I guess he’s ready! I think he’s excited that FW is lining up with us being off this week, but I told him I don’t think we need to start quite yet haha. I’m excited to be off though too! I had to run into the office today to drop something off and send a fax and now I’m free! Love seeing this blank space

This afternoon I’m cleaning out my car and DH is taking care of a few house projects. We’re just relaxing tonight then going to my parents cabin tomorrow. They made one of those giant slip and slides and I’m way too excited about it.

    CS/Q:

GTKY: during the week it’s definitely lunch. There is nothing like that mental break during the day and then getting to eat on top of it.  But on the weekends it’s dinner for sure!

  • @bows22 can I ask what annoyed you about the Usborne party so I can avoid doing that!?
@mindyb2019 *hugs* I definitely understand the bittersweetness of the moment.
@fitzfizz I’m sorry your results are so slow! Being benched by an external force is frustrating!
@acleverusername breakfast out is for sure my favorite!

  • @chindimples04 I had to go back to my post to remember the details haha. My friend hosted an online party for an acquaintance of hers. If you participated during the party (commenting on various posts, placing your order by a certain time) you were entered into a drawing for a “giveaway” - I was one of the people who won and she messaged me that the prize can only be claimed if you have your own party 😒. Like I wasn’t expecting free books or anything, I thought it would be like a bookmark or something. It was annoying. I just think stuff like that is how MLM companies get a bad reputation.
  • @bows22 I sure hope your right about my husband being on board with whatever I want to do. I guess we will see when I ask him in a few days. FX he says yes and on the same page as me cause if not I'll be very sad and disappointed and it might cause friction. That's cute that your husband is all ready and excited. Lol thats awesome that FW lines up with your time off. You will be busy 😉 lol I hope you enjoy your time off from work. Omg that giant slip and slide sounds freakin amazing. Please send some pics of it. Have fun on that and have fun at the cabin. Jealous!
  • @bows22 I can TOTALLY see how that would upset people. I’ve never won the giveaway as a guest and I haven’t seen what the prizes are. I’ll have to figure out how to combat that.

  • @chindimples04 Rover is the dog walking right? It's supposed to be hot as hell this weekend 🥵

@mindyb2019 happy to have you here 🙂

@acleverusername hope you get that positive soon!

@fitzfizz ugh, I hate waiting for results! Hurry uuupp.

@bows22 enjoy your week off! I love when FW falls during time off. It think it happened on our honeymoon 3 years ago and it happened on our long weekend road trip last October. Except that was a major surprise because I was still doing my OPKs every other day being the cycle after the failed FET. Almost didn't catch it that time.

    Month/Cycle: 38/27

    CD: 12

WAYDTGKU: HIO, OPKs, temping, GF and DF diet, supplements, 2nd opinion later this month

R/R: Gonna be a major downer here and say I hate life right now. Big fight yesterday. We are fine. I just don't feel right unless we take more drastic measures with my mental health. I feel it's a major factor in why we haven't had success. I get anxious just walking into the kitchen because there are dishes that need to be done in there.

    CS/Q:

GTKY: What meal of the day is your favorite: breakfast, lunch, dinner, other?

I love breakfast for dinner. I also just really like food so it's hard to pick a favorite as they all have their merits. Breakfast is a bit more special since lunch and dinner are always part of the day.

  • @inthewoods23 Thanks, happy to be here. sorry you hate life right now. Mine hasnt particularly been the greatest lately either 😥 But for very different reasons. I'm sorry you got in a big fight last night. What kind of drastic measures are you looking to take with your mental health? I know you struggle with bad anxiety so does that have anything to do with how your feeling right now?
  • @mindyb2019 I want to talk to my therapist about the steps to take to get put on some medication. Let's just say my mind went to some pretty dark, harmful places while we were fighting. I know not to put those thoughts into actions and that it would hurt and stress DH immensely, but that's not going to stop me from having them. I can't properly channel my rapid swings in emotion.

@fitzfizz hooray for your body knowing what it should be doing! Hang in there, friend. If you're meant to try this month, you'll get those results (though I would agree with @bows22 about giving them a call tomorrow just to "remind" them.

@bows22 I love it that YH is so proactive / such an eager beaver! So exciting that your week off is lining up with FW... make the most of it! Also totally agree with you re: MLM companies. I currently buy from 2 of them via my friends (because I genuinely like the product), but I'm definitely opposed to how they do business.

@inthewoods23 I'm really sorry to hear that you're going through a rough time mentally (who wouldn't with how long you've been at it?!) I've got situational anxiety myself, so I know what you mean about wanting to lose it at the sight of dirty dishes in the kitchen. Have you tried meditating? I'm sure you've heard that line before and probably roll your eyes at my statement... I used to be that way too... but I've started meditating in March using Headspace and honestly am so impressed with how it's helped me. It really does require training the brain to do different things and it's not easy and it takes time. I also definitely endorse therapy... there are 1 or 2 that I've worked with in the past who have saved me.

@mindyb2019 I am 💯know what you mean re: "getting older / no time to waste" and I'm really happy that mentally you've been able to get to a point where you feel like trying again. Attitude is definitely key to this TTC shenanigans. As @bows22 pointed out, YH will probably get there too, especially if you're talking about it openly. Hugs and FX. As for our smoker, oh man, last night, we cured and smoked fresh salmon for dinner (we're in CA so freshly caught salmon is easily accessible) and both DH and I were in a haze of satiety and kept repeating "this was the best dinner ever; we're never cooking salmon any other way." We've previously also grilled steaks and such, but last weekend DH got into smoking hardcore, smoking a roast as we had a couple of his friends over for the day, and this past week he did ribs. I've included the photo of the roast in spoiler.

  • @bows22 and @acleverusername I’m planning to call the lab tomorrow and see if they have sent a result. If they have, I’ll send a message to the doctor, because I know sometimes faxes get misplaced. I don’t want to be pushy though since they already seem to be giving me special treatment (head of MFM is meeting with us on his non-clinic day, and called me from his cell with the last round of results the day they were released).

@mindyb2019 We got the first round back a few weeks ago which unfortunately proved that it was not a chromosomal problem. I had really hoped it was because that would have meant ~1% chance of recurrence. What we know now is that it is genetic and overall there is a 20-30% chance of this happening again (which obviously sucks). The results we are waiting on is for the panel of specific genes. If it is all normal, we try again naturally knowing that there is still a chance of this happening again, but it is probably lower if it is a new mutation. If it is positive, then it depends on which gene it was and we would need additional testing ourselves. The thing causing me to want to hold off until we know results is that if we have a known gene and a high chance of recurrence I would prefer to to IVF with preimplantation testing.

@inthewoods23 If it helps, I had been debating meds for a long time and decided to start sertraline/Zoloft after my loss in June. It was definitely the right call and I feel so much better now. We picked that one because it is best studied in pregnancy and generally considered the best choice if TTC.
  • @fitzfizz that all makes sense; you definitely have a better pulse on when to push / when to ease off. GL and FX.

@inthewoods23 also +1 for Zoloft; that's what my NaPro OB told me I'd need to take if my anxiety got the best of me during TTC / pregnancy.

  • @acleverusername I've done meditation a few times. I'm just so bad about doing it as a habit! And I know they say you only need like 5 minutes a day! I will definitely check out Headspace! And go ovaries!!

@fitzfizz I keep going back and forth about it as I'm usually fine within a day of having a meltdown, but I still wonder if being on some meds can help in the long run and keeping me more emotionally level. They had me take some Valium before my ER and transfer and I remember feeling very calm but still very present with the world. I know that's a completely different med (and I think not safe for pregnancy?), but if that was a taste of how I could feel all the time, I want that.

  • @inthewoods23 Headspace is great cause when you're first starting out, you can do 5 min sessions and work your way up. I started with 5 min in March and now I'm doing 20 min daily (first did 5, then 10, then 15, and now 20)! Also, the first few packs are "free" so you don't have to buy a monthly/annual membership. Also, the app's creator's - Andy Puddincombe's - Australian accent is sooooo soothing.

  • @inthewoods23 aww friend. I'm so sorry to hear that your mind went to some pretty dark and harmful places when you were fighting. It's tough some days. Well that's good that you want to talk to your therapist about going on some meds. I hope your able to do that if that's what will help you be able to properly channel and cope with your rapid swings in emotions. FX for you  that you start feeling better soon and are in a better place mentally. 💕

@fitzfizz I'm sorry that your first round of results said it wasn't a chromosomal problem but a genetic one instead. :( that makes it a bit harder. Well FX for you that your specific panel of gene comes back normal and that you both dont need anymore additional testing and that you can continue to TTC naturally. I hated waiting for my results and it was tough trying to keep my mind off thinking about the what ifs. Did they say how long it would take to hear back? Dont be scared of being a bit pushy. I hate being that annoying pest too that keeps calling in and nagging them for results but the last 2 weeks of me waiting that was me 🤣 I kept emailing the lady following up and then they would tell me a certain date they would be ready by and then we would past that date and then I would call again lol I'm glad I did cause I got my results pretty soon after I bugged them alot. I just made a joke of it when I called saying "hey it's me again your favorite pest" 😆 they laughed.

@acleverusername yay! For your LH surge
Go ovaries go! Lol I knew it would happen. Mmm, I love salmon. Your smoked salmon sounds so yummy. Omg!! That roast you made in your smoker looks sooo damn good. 🤤 had me drooling lol. We dont have a smoker machine but we do have a rotisserie machine and omg we use it alot and it makes the best meat. We make prime rib in it and omg I cant eat it any other way. Like mouth watering and juicy. Damit now I'm hungry and want ribs and meat 🤣😂
  • @mindyb2019 slip & slide pic! So fun! Sorry for the massive white box but you get the idea!

@chindimples04 here were the “prizes” just in case you are interested. If this is the norm for how they want you to handle, maybe you could do some very small prizes and then make these “bonus prizes” for hosting a party?

  • @inthewoods23 oh friend, I am so sorry you had a rough time this weekend. You are doing all of the right things, and know that we are all here for you ❤️. I’m so glad you are moving forward to get some help because there is no reason you need to feel that way. Big hugs, girl ❤️
  • @bows22 OMG!! 😁 that slip n slide looks like soooo much fun. I so want to go on that. Please tell me that giant white box in the pic is covering you riding down it 😆 How do those pool noodles stay on the side? Are they weighted down?
  • @mindyb2019 haha it’s my nephew! I did go down it though. DH didn’t take any pictures because he was too busy taking a video 🙄. They hammered stakes into the pool noodles to keep them down! I don’t think the pool noodles were totally necessary but it makes it look cool
  • @bows22 thanks friend! I'm feeling better today but mentally still in a bit of a slump. Which kind of sucks since that means I'm in "just go through the day" mode. I accomplished emptying and filling the dishwasher though so the weekend wasn't an entire waste!
