I am so excited to see everyone's nursery. DD bedroom is turning into the girls room so no new nursery for me. Biggest change will be building her a big girl bed soon for when she is done with the crib.

  • @magdaaaa that looks great! I love the walls and the floors!
  • @magdaaaa That sounds like it will be awesome! I can't wait to see pics  I love the wood flooring!  I can't do "theme's" I'd get bored with it, so funky eclectic if right up my alley!

  • @magdaaaa yay I can’t wait to see it. I’m trying to avoid a one item theme too, so I don’t end up with so much of one thing.
I’m wanting to do vintage cowgirl, but I’m having trouble finding stuff... maybe I should pick an existing theme and make my life easier. I want mustard yellows or gold and turquoise or navy.

DD had a cowprint diaper changing cover and rug I got off amazon. The diaper changing cover has held up well, so I plan to move it to the nursery. 🤞🏼Potty training her soon!
The wiener dogs destroyed the rug as I expected... which is why don’t buy pricey rugs. I’ll probably buy DD2 the another one.
  • @magdaaaa I love it!

  • @magdaaaa I love that crib! It is looking really good :)
  • @magdaaaa the room is looking wonderful!! Quick question, how wide is your changing mat in comparison to the dresser. I was planning to do the same, so I don't have to buy a seperate changing table but now I'm wondering how much bigger the dresser should be than the changing mat? Probably a good thing to figure out before I buy anything😅
  • @babywiik I'll have to take a pic tonight, but our changing mat it on top of a wooden (particle board?) 4-cube/storage cube shelf (technically there's 2 of them side by side, but the mat fits on one). It fits it just perfectly.  I wouldn't leave baby up there on their own without being right next to them, but so long as the mat doesn't hang over a side it shouldn't need to larger than the dresser per se.  Unless I'm misunderstanding your question.

  • @lurvleybunchococonuts thanks honey bunny! We’re getting there!

@bserena thank you! Fb marketplace for the win! It’s an IKEA crib that the previous owners painted yellow which set the tone for the whole room. Never would have done it on my own, but I’m digging it!

@babywiik if you mean in depth (width of the changing pad) there is about a 2” margin in each side MAYBE? We did the same thing with DS1 and it’s worked out really well. If you mean in terms of length, then I’m not sure but we definitely have enough space to have a little diaper storage station to the right of the changing pad which is my intention. This is baby #3 for me and I’ve never been able to justify a single changing table in their bedrooms bc it just takes up so much space! I highly recommend the dresser trick 😘

  • @lurvleybunchococonuts thanks! I had a dresser i was going to use but I was looking at it the other day and it's way to narrow so I was doing some online shopping. I wish I could take the changing mat that I have and go to the store to test it out! I don't love online shopping for furniture but not really another choice at this moment. The changing mat i have is also kind of big, 70cm by 49cm. Good to know that it works even if there's not a lot of extra room on the dresser top!
  • @babywiik disregard the absolute chaos/mountains of disaster & the blurry toddler - need to put up shelves to finish getting organized, but here's our set up... at least you can get an idea of the layout (forgot I took pics to show a friend the other day!) With DD I had the changing pad on just one of the "dresser's" and had a diaper organizer hanging above it.  Also the changing mat has straps, so I strap it to the top of the dresser. I think technically they're supposed to hold baby, but I always have at least on hand on baby at all times when on there. Once I get everything actually finished and situated I'll post pics again.  But FYI those "dressers" are literally like $30 from Walmart (or maybe Target) and have worked perfectly for us.  Just make sure to check dimensions when you're shopping for furniture online ;)

  • @babywiik ah ha! Found a pic from before DD was born. Final set up had the hanging diaper organizer which is on the end of DDs crib in this pic, hanging above the changing pad.

  • Since we move in to our new house next Friday, I haven't purchased anything as of yet, but know that I will get to work almost immediately once we get everything else unpacked.  I know we are doing a wooden sign with her name, much like @dumbledoredies showed in her inspo pics.  And then this wallpaper.  And that is all I've got for now haha.
