@juliebeannn I'm so sorry to hear you had COVID!! Hopefully all of that is behind you now! I absolutely loved Becoming! I actually listened to it as an audio book and she narrated it herself. It was amazing hearing it in her voice.
@manillabar I think the "big" check in is working for the group. We don't seem to have many active participants right now.
@Talusia17 How to Talk So Kids Will Listen is such a great book! I use strategies from the book everyday!

GTKY: what is the most recent book that you have read for fun? Ooh this is a good one! When I started the summer, I decided I wanted to read more physical books rather than ebooks, so I have a whole stack on my nightstand now. I just finished the new Riley Sager book Home Before Dark, which was a fun thriller, and I'm currently halfway through The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett.

@pisciesbaby2021 I feel like I need to read that book too!
@juliebeannn Yay for graduation!!!! Also, I bought Becoming on Audible, now I just have to start listening to it - I keep getting sidetracked by murder podcasts haha.
@Talusia17 Oh that's awful about the OB office, I'm so sorry - honestly, it would probably be a dealbreaker for me. I would find a new practice immediately.
@nagrom9319 I hadn't heard of that movie before! Have you watched Last Chance U?
@jenotontx I don't blame you for being stir crazy, we are too! We've basically been in the house since March, I would love to go somewhere for a couple of days but we probably won't risk it
@amw2013 @annanbby Sending you both my thoughts and prayers!
@myfingerhurts Oh I'll have to look for that series - I had never heard of it before but that seems right up my alley!
@sunny_native14 I am super grateful that I'm WFH right now too!
@Yiggle09 Will have to add that trilogy to my list! I love the idea of a reread, I want to reread the entire Belgariad/Mallorean series.
@manillabar Philippa Gregory is always a strong choice!
@swbecca528 I've followed Kelle Hampton's blog for years, but have never read the book. Will add it to the list!

We’ll see at my Thursday appointment though. Really hoping and praying that maybe it’s just as simple as the baby had a difficult start with growth but then starts catching up. Who knows. It’s just hard seeing everything happening very similarly to the last time.
GTKY: What is the most recent book that you have read for fun? I mostly read self-help type books. Currently reading Grit by Angela Duckworth. Will be starting Parenting with Love and Logic soon. I'm also working my way through a new women's study bible.
@sunny_native14 I can't imagine having a long commute while pregnant. My drive to work is about 45 min in rush hour and I got so car sick during my first pregnancy. I'm also very happy to be working from home most of the week right now. I hope I continue to WFH until at least after first tri!
@clevans1 It's normally covered if you are 35 or older. I'm under 35 and my insurance didn't cover it last time but the company that does the tests will give patients a decreased rate. I want to say they charged $100 if insurance wouldn't cover it. So it would be good to check your insurance company and also talk to your OB office.
@mvt2003 What a fun announcement! My symptoms during my first pregnancy didn't start at ALL until I was 8 weeks! So I know it's hard not to worry but I promise you they will show up.
@mvt2003 My symptoms are way more mild this time than they were with my first. This time, at 5 weeks, most days I felt pretty normal - just some bloat. Nausea kicked in around 6.5 weeks and it's still a lot more mild than my last pregnancy. I know it's anxiety provoking but just keep thinking positive thoughts!!

GTKY: what is the most recent book that you have read for fun? Finally getting around to reading the 6th book in the Green Rider series by Kristen Britain - I've been along for the ride since 2004 and there should be about two more books to go. About a quarter of the way through right now and so curious to see how everything unfolds.
#2 - EDD 3/2020
@clevans1 I'm not sure if it usually is, but I know mine covered it when I was 29 last time. We are planning on doing it again even though this one is PGS tested.

I’ve been reading the Strike series of novels by J. K. Rowling (under the pen name Robert Galbraith).
@mvt2003 +1 to what everyone else has said... I remember at 5w with my daughter and this time I wasn't feeling too much and my symptoms were coming and going. By 6 weeks both times the nausea hit
@Yiggle09 I was glad to see your US in the thread, sounds like things went well today!
