    FTM/STM/STM+: Third time mom

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Team green for the first time. We have 2 boys already so I think its going to be exciting to find out at delivery if our final baby will be another boy or a girl

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: A grain of table salt or a speck of saw dust or a DIP switch toggle

Upcoming appointments: Havent made one yet. I need to find a new OB

How are you feeling?: Pretty well. I have had some degree of symptoms my last few pregnancies, but none this time. Its concerning

Rants/Raves: Rave-Still working from home and its really nice to do while pregnant. I like to think thats why I'm feeling so good.

    Questions:

GTKY: What is your ideal number of children (to have)? If you asked me before I started having kids I would have said 2. Now I'm on 3 and asked my husband yesterday if he definitely thinks this will be our last haha I could see us having a fourth whether it be biologically or through adoption.
  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 3-14 / 5+1

    FTM/STM/STM+: Baby 2!

    Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Finding out!

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Peppercorn!

Upcoming appointments: I have my first ultrasound at my fertility clinic tomorrow! I'm so excited!

How are you feeling?: Totally normal. I had some shortness of breath last week and a little fatigue but the last few days I've felt 100% normal which is freaking me out a little.

Rants/Raves:  As much as I love feeling normal, it's freaking me out but at the same time, I'll embrace it because symptoms came in full force at 5+6 for my last pregnancy, so we'll see what this week has in store.  Also, am I the only one checking the toilet paper after wiping?  I look to make sure I'm not spotting, but I also feel crazy.  I think I did this last time too.

    Questions:

GTKY: What is your ideal number of children (to have)? I've always wanted 2 maaaaybe 3, but I think this will be our last.  Based on my ovarian reserve this go-around, it's very unlikely I'll have any quality eggs by the time I'd be ready to have another one.  So it's weird to know that I don't have the possibility of having another child after this.  But...it's ok, I'm totally happy with 2.

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: We will probably find out...my daughter can't wait.  (Was team green with 1st and found out with last two.)

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Sweet Pea

Upcoming appointments: 1st appointment July 14th.

How are you feeling?: Definitely pregnant...tired, dizzy, nauseous, so bloated and my boobs are very full (still nursing 13 month old).

Rants/Raves: Thankful husband is still working from home.

    Questions:

GTKY: What is your ideal number of children (to have)? DH and I never really put a number down...I guess when our family feels complete?
  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 3/5, 6+2

    FTM/STM/STM+: STM

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Haven't decided yet. We were team green last time, not sure if we'll find out this time or not.

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a sweet pea

Upcoming appointments: Phone visit with the nurse on 7/24, then u/s, in-person visit on 8/11.

How are you feeling?: Gross! Nauseous most of the day. Not bad enough that I feel like I'm going to puke, more like when you eat too much. I don't remember feeling like this last time- maybe it's a girl lol. I'm also occasionally getting these short spells where my heart rate spikes and I have to sit down. That definitely happened last time.

Rants/Raves: I teach high school and apparently the plan is for us to go back to school in the fall, but I honestly don't see how to do that safely with the way covid cases are spiking and I have a lot of thoughts about it...

    Questions:

GTKY: What is your ideal number of children (to have)? I think 3, but DH thinks 2, so we'll see how we feel after this one.

    Upcoming appointments: Thursday afternoon

How are you feeling?: Super thirsty. A little queasy on and off through the day. My face was super bloated over the weekend, but it's gone now. I've been feeling what I assume is my uterus stretching, which is strange to feel so early, but not sure what else it could be.

Rants/Raves: When I had DS, we didn't live anywhere near family (husband was military). This time, we live in the same city as my dad and step mom, so it'll be amazing having family there this time.

    Questions:

GTKY: What is your ideal number of children (to have)? Anything more than 1. 1 is too lonely. Speaking as an only child, with an only child (until next spring!)

How are you feeling?: So. Tired.

Rants/Raves: My last pregnancy I was working over full-time at a suuuper stressful job and commuting 3 hrs round trip, so the fact that I'm working from home part time at a much easier job is so amazing....so incredibly thankful for this!

Upcoming appointments: nothing yet, calling my OB practice tomorrow probably

How are you feeling?: Pretty good, though my back is a bit sore today and it makes me nervous

Rants/Raves: These first few weeks are my least favorite of pregnancy. Everything feels so tenuous and surreal.

GTKY: What is your ideal number of children (to have)? I always thought 1 or 2, but I’m definitely warming up to the idea of 3 now that I actually have a child!
  • @swbecca528 The upcoming school year is certainly being hotly debated everywhere... which way do things seem to be leaning near you? People are pushing hard for in person schooling where I am...

@Ghostie625 yesss... I also constantly have that "ate too much" feeling... even when I'm hungry, which is driving me nuts!!

I wasnt having any symptoms until today, (4+2 today) and I was freaking out a little about it. Now today, i'm having somewhat terrible aching cramps that feel like my period is just about to pour out of me and now I am freaking out some more. I run to the bathroom every few minutes to wipe and make sure nothings happening down there. Even when i feel fine and wipe, I'm scared to look in fear of seeing color.
  • @mrs_massie I'm sorry you're freaking out!! I've had on and off cramps and aches since the morning of my BFP.  I definitely didn't have this much cramping with my first so it has me worried too!!! Hopefully it's just the little bean nestling in and our utes getting nice and big for our babies!!

Upcoming appointments: 8/13 is my first appointment

How are you feeling?: Pretty good! A little crampy and some very mild nausea.

Rants/Raves: I'm annoyed our BMB isn't showing up on the app! Has anyone tried to tag an admin about the fact our BMB won't show on the app? I hope they fix it soon. I'm also very happy to be working mostly from home right now although I do have to go into the office 2 days per week. I'm definitely going to be a lot more nervous being out in public now and I just cancelled a facial I had scheduled for next weekend. Covid numbers are just so high here in Texas right now it's all a little nerve wracking.

    Questions:

GTKY: What is your ideal number of children (to have)? Two! After this baby we will definitely be done. My husband and I don't live anywhere near our family (different side of the country from my family and totally different country from his family) so we really couldn't handle more then two kids with us both working full time out of the home.

@mrs_massie Cramps can be totally normal but I understand your concern. I had some pretty intense cramps with my DD early on too.

@lin0042 Waiting for the first appointment is the worst. Feels like time just stands still.

@ghostie625 The entire situation over covid is so stressful right now. I work out of an outpatient doctor's office so it definitely has me freaked out. Thankfully I only go into the clinic 1-2 days per week and I wear a mask and a face shield but living here in Texas where the numbers are going crazy has me stressed. Sorry that things are so uncertain for all you teachers! I can imagine how you feel.

@juliebeannn Yes about checking the toilet paper. I basically did that my entire first pregnancy! I get implantation bleeding/spotting though too which had me freaked out the first time around but I was prepared for it this time.

For some reason, I can't even find how to get to the forums in the app. I feel like I've looked through every link. Could somebody point me in the right direction please? I'm on an Android. Thanks!
  • @jenotontx I haven't but I think it's a great idea because it's getting so hard to access the BMB through anything but my laptop. I'll do it over in the randoms thread since that's pretty dead lol

@cmortmain The app isn't very intuitive.  The way I get to "community" is click the menu on the top left corner, then click the arrow next to "toddler", then click "community". From there you can "star" whichever forums you want to follow.

@jenotontx @manillabar I PMed @BumpAdmin asking why the March BMB won't show up on the app.  We'll see.

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: we were team green last time, but since this is likely our final baby I want to find out. There’s always some amount of grieving for the opposite sex so I want to deal with that before the birth! I also think knowing the sex will help my daughter connect with the baby.

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Not sure!

    Upcoming appointments: 7/27 for dating

How are you feeling?: Tired, hungry, and have sore nipples but occasionally feel normal which makes me anxious. However I remember feeling that same way in my last pregnancy, so trying to stay positive.

Rants/Raves: I’m going to rage on hospital restrictions if they don’t loosen up before March. PPE is available and womens’ comfort and mental health directly impacts physical health before/during/after birth & should be highest priority. I’m in Ohio and we don’t have birth centers so this has been on my mind a lot. We don’t have any family nearby to watch my daughter if we can’t bring her to the hospital and my last labor was 8 hrs total, overnight, so I can’t imagine being able to get ahold of a sitter.

GTKY: What is your ideal number of children (to have)? 2!
  • @ckmb_knottie My husband and I are going to have the same issue as you. We don't have any family in the same state as us so I have no idea who will watch our daughter. My MIL is retired so she had initially said when we have #2 she will fly in to stay with us but now with COVID that may not be possible. We may just have to try to find people to be on "standby" for us and try to hire a sitter that can take over asap. I have a co-worker I am pretty close to that lives in the same area as me so I may even end up asking her. It's going to be a shit show but we will figure something out lol

@ckmb_knottie @jenotontx Hopefully, by March things will loosen up.  The peak in NJ/NYC was in March/April and our hospital announced just a few weeks ago that your support person can leave the hospital and come back, they just need to have their temperature taken upon return. Who knows what will happen in the coming months, but we can all hope....

  • @erica0901 I had to do fertility treatment the first time too. While I’m so happy I didn’t need it this time, the extra monitoring and progesterone supplements helped ease some anxiety. My first appt is 7/27 so this is going to be a loooong week waiting!
  • It’s funny I have the opposite experience lol... my past two pregnancies were conceived without assistance whereas this one was. The new monitoring is different for me, though reassuring. The extra progesterone is definitely kicking my butt!

  • @ckmb_1250 I called the doctors office the day I found out and due to my history I went in the same day for bloodwork and started the supplement. I’ve gone back once to repeat the bloodwork and will stay in the supplement at least until my 8 week US.

GTKY: What is your ideal number of children (to have)?  2 i think? I have 3 step kids and we had a foster child for 2 years, so we are used to having a really busy home. With just one child now it is so quiet and lonely. I dont think i want more than two biological  but we would be very open to adopting (but not ever going to foster again, I am not strong enough to go through that again)

I want to echo what others aare saying about COVID and school and just  life, this is all so hard to navigate and i dislike not knowing  whats happening  or when things are going to be "normal " agai

  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 6+6

FTM/STM/STM+: STM (currently have a 15 month old wild boy!)

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Girl (we already know!)

Upcoming appointments: 3rd US next Monday at 7+5. We had one at 6+1 and 6+5. Hoping if everything looks good I will get taking off bed rest!

How are you feeling?: still worried and nervous. Starting to feel a tiny bit if nausea, but nothing bad yet.  It didnt really kick in until 8 weeks last time and lasted until week 20, so I am just trying to enjoy this time before constantly feeling like I have been hit by a bus.

GTKY: What is your ideal number of children (to have)? Probably 2 or 3. My husband is an only child and is a little nervous about the thought of being outnumbered with 3, but right now I cant imagine being done at 2, so we will see. I wanted to have #2 close to when #1 was turning 2. Maybe we would put another year or so between 2 and 3 if we go that route. I'm only 30, but my husband is 38 and don't want to be "too old" and still be having kids! Lol
