What’s on your mind this week?

Just a reminder that @Cats*in*space started a spreadsheet for everyone in this BMB so you can add your info in it!

Re: Weekly Randoms 7/13

  • @szwill86 I’ll try to get on the MacBook later today and update mine; I can’t figure out how to do it from my phone.

So last night out cat brought in another baby bunny... 🤦🏻‍♀️ The things make the worst screaming sound when they are scared.

  • Loading the player...
  • Thanks @Cats*in*space for starting the spreadsheet! I'll add to it once I get an official EDD from my OB!
@mdfarmchick Cute bunny! Do you think your cat brought it in because it knows about your pregnancy?

I'm meeting up with a neighbor today (whom I've met twice) at her house for lunch and although I'm 90% sure she's a safe person to hangout with, in the back of my mind I'm thinking "This is how horror movies begin."
  • @s_montgomery nope. He’s just a jerk. This is probably at least the 20th baby bunny. He just wants to play with them and make them his friends. 😣🤦🏻‍♀️ He carries them around like a baby kitten. He also brings in lizards although they have a smaller chance of surviving. Again. He just wants to play with them. As for the three dead rat/mice things 😡😭 ughhh

Bahaha... good luck with your lunch. 🤣 She’s probably normal.
  • @mdfarmchick I have a dog that does this with baby birds, it’s really exciting. He also climbs trees so maybe he thinks he is part cat? He just wants to be friends with everyone too!
  • So here I was this past week feeling absolutely terrible so nauseous it hurt. Finally I ask a dr at work for a script for zofran just to make it through the day. I go home and just as the medicine wears off I throw up practically my entire lunch 7 hours after eating it and it was practically untouched by stomach acid. The next day I feel weak but pretty much back to normal. I think I had a stomach bug all week and suffered along thinking well this is just terrible pregnancy symptoms lol
  • @Yiggle09 Wow, that sounds awful. I hope it's just a bug and not going to last weeks/months!
@mdfarmchick Bunnies sound a lot better than lizards, mice, or rats! Yuck
Lunch with my neighbor went very well. We learned a lot about each other, I feel comfortable around her now, and she sent me home with a stash of cookies! 😄 Hospitality role model.

  • @s_montgomery sounds like it was worth the risk 😂 I’m not going to lie, I’m a little jealous. I need a friendly neighbor.

@Yiggle09 that sounds absolutely awful. I hope that’s the end of the bug for you. Ugh.
  • I had a dream last night that something happened to my step-kids mom and DH and I had to go to court to fight for custody of her daughter (not DH's).  I woke up super upset and wondering how you bring that up in conversation. "Hey, so I know we haven't talked about this yet, but can we have your kid if you die?" sounds super morbid. I'm guessing DH and I's recent conversation about godparents is what caused it.

  • @WildMagelet the dreams can be so real. I’ve had a couple in which MH was being a total jerk and I woke up so ANGRY at him. 🤣 Anyway, you could just ask her if she has a will that sets up guardianship in case anything happens to her, under the guise of needing to do that yourselves.
  • @mdfarmchick So real! And it's totally feasible that if it were to happen we'd have to fight bio dad because he'd decide to be a douche about it and not because he actually wanted her. And courts have this "thing" for bio parents even if it's not in the best interest of the child.

Posing the question that way is a good idea! She's actually on our short list, although I wouldn't want to necessarily tell her that until we make an official decision. Thanks for the tip! <3

  • My brother and SIL tried for four years to have a baby. Fast forward to 12 days ago, she had a very healthy baby at 37w due to pre-e. She developed some alarming symptoms within 1-2 days of delivery and diagnosed with post partum psychosis. Her symptoms worsened and she was admitted to an inpatient treatment facility. My heart is breaking for them. 💔

  • @roadspeckle the good news is she/they recognized the signs and were able to get her help. ♥️ thinking of them.
  • @roadspeckle I'm glad their baby was born healthy. It sounds like they're having a long and difficult recovery. I hope it doesn't last much longer! I'm sure they appreciate your support.

I have another HCG draw today and will have the results tomorrow afternoon. 🤞 all is well with Baby. I'm nervous.
  • I'm surprised the March 2021 BMB hasn't been started yet. Anyone know how/when new ones are started?

I love my pregnancy boobs. They're much better than my regular boobs.
Lol, I would agree only if they didn’t hurt so much!!!
  • In case your pregnancy brain has gotten bad, taxes are due for most US peeps today

@Yiggle09 I found that Zofran was the only thing that helped my nausea but also felt like it slowed down my digestive system big time
  • Once again I posted to last week’s randoms. 🤦‍♀️

Anyway sorry for being MIA lately.

@cmoon3 My boobs have always been small, but after nursing DS they turned into deflated water balloons. They’re kinda starting to perk back up with pregnancy, so I’m happy to once again have normal-looking boobs until this child is weaned, when my boobs will go back to their very sad state. 😂
  • @s_montgomery - Apparently it's up, it just doesn't show up everywhere on the app & website yet.

mine are pretty deflated as well after my first child. By now without "help"  they rest at/below elbow length. 😳  They'll likely be past my waist eventually. Sometimes I wonder how my husband is still attracted as it is. 🤷‍♀️

Lol, me too! I am very flat chested (like not even quite an A cup after nursing my first), and I am loving having some life back in them haha.
  • @sugarcoateddonut yes! Mine went from an A to a B during nursing, and now hardly fill an A cup. It’s some kind of cruel joke that after nursing you get smaller and less shapely boobs. Sigh. I guess my boobs’ heyday is history (except for a short reprise during nursing again. Nothing compares to rockboob when you’ve skipped a nursing session to give you instant kickass cleavage...albeit painful and leaky). 😂
  • @moguippy yes it definitely slows digestion which I don't like but my super power is when my gallbladder was removed I can almost always cause a poop if I eat something with fat or grease.

Haha! I felt like Pamela Anderson when my milk first came in!

It's my only kind of "fun" symptom right now lol. I already feel like I am showing a bit, which is obviously just bloat because the baby is a size of a berry or something 😂. If my husband comments on how cute my bump is one more time I am going to lose it!
  • @sugarcoateddonut - My DH is the same. I know I'm bloated, but his response to every time I ask him "Does this (shirt, dress, etc.) make me look pregnant?" he says "Well, yeah."  It's too early to have a bump, this is just me bloating and gaining weight from eating junk on vacation.  My bloat is far from "cute", lol.

  • I could barely bring myself to eat all day... I knew I should but I just didn’t want anything. MH saved me and roasted the chicken I couldn’t deal with and it was actually a good dinner choice but now I just want chocolate. Yummy chocolate cake with vanilla icing.

The chips & dip phase has passed. Now it's chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream.

Bagels and cream cheese for me...sometimes I wonder if I can see my baby bump, then reality hits, and I realize it's really a bagel bump
Ditto! I never eat bagels, but I need them daily now and they are certainly giving me a bump where I don’t need one!
  • Can’t stop eating bagels. I love them normally too but they are the only thing that doesn’t make me nauseous or feel gross afterwards!
  • +1 on the bagels. Also cereal- frosted mini wheats and cinnamon Life are my top two right now. I was doing low carb eating for the past year, so I forgot how wonderfully delicious all the bread stuff is!
  • Omg you just reminded me that I need sugar cereal in my life. @szwill86
  • @szwill86 yesssss to MiniWheats and Life! I’m also a big fan of Frosted Flakes and Cocoa Pebbles. Just give me all the kids cereal. 😂
  • To continue from last week, I am this pregnant:

  • @mdfarmchick Half Baked is the besssssttttt! B&J’s has edible cookie dough in the freezer section now! I got some last week to improve the cookie dough to ice cream ratio. ;)
  • I've had quite the wilderness day. Found a wasp nest under the cover of our propane tank, ran screaming and almost passed out from getting light headed. Snuck back and sprayed said nest through the cover of a bush. Found a snake in the garage but it disappeared somewhere 🤷🏻‍♀️ tried to mow the grass (really nice riding mower) but got too hot and made DH finish 😬 I'm staying in the AC the rest of the evening!

I'm: can't stand the heat anymore and fast movements make me dizzy level pregnant
  • Also I was pleasantly surprised that my Blanqi order showed up today... two new pairs of maternity jeans and three new pairs of leggings later I was out of breath from trying them on and happy to have comfy clothes that make the blump look cute and bump like 😂
  • @jumpy57 I cannot tolerate the heat this pregnancy. I swear being pregnant in the first trimester in summer is worse than being pregnant in the third trimester in the summer for me. My DS was due in July and I definitely was not as miserable then as I am now.
