Re: All Trimester Check-in June 29th
Unexplained infertility/AMA, polycystic ovaries, insulin resistance
FET#1(July 2017): eSET of first of 4 PGS-normal embryos, DS born 3/30/2018
FET#2(Oct/Nov 2019): eSET
I feel good except for bladder pain. Got it checked out, just my usual interstitial cystitis.
Rants/raves/questions. I've had trouble sleeping through the night and I get hot frequently. Anyone else have that (if you remember)?
I am so excited to be pregnant again but I do have a lot of anxiety. The due date of my last pregnancy was 6/26/20 and found out today that a neighbor had a baby girl the same time my girl was due.
TW : this is my third pregnancy; I had two miscarriages last year.
Husband only talks about work and I wish he'd act happier, but I suppose he's holding his breath until we get past the point where we lost the last baby @ 10 weeks.
Viability scan in three weeks. Really looking forward to seeing baby and heartbeat.
Love chocolate ice cream. Avoiding sugar, though. Anyone have a favorite pasta recipe they'd share? I'm trying to gain weight without raising my blood sugar. Been trying for months, and it just slowly goes the other way in spite of all my curves growing.

@cashewchicken - keeping my fingers crossed that you don't have to go into the office past this week. I'm a few weeks behind you and I definitely don't feel like going in! But we're on lock down so I don't have to. I also don't like the chunky chocolate in my mint ice cream either!
@callingthestork - Congrats and welcome! Yeah, it sounds like your DH is just trying to protect himself. Sending positive thoughts your way.
@lauralew - Hi there! I've been keeping up with you on the Low AMH post. Glad you found your way over here. Congratulations!! This is my first baby/pregnancy too and I had all the same feelings you do! It gets easier with every milestone. But I still haven't completed my baby books because I'm afraid to jinx anything, even at 30 weeks. I"m going to force myself to do them next week!
@lauralew Congratulations! This is my first pregnancy, and we also used a donor egg! It is super exciting to finally be pregnant. I had A LOT of anxiety at first, but it has definitely improved over time.
@cashewchicken, thanks for the welcome and advice. I do like plain Greek full-fat yogurt, though I hadn't heard of Icelandic. Could chow down on beef and eggs.
Thanks as well to @31magnolia and @vetgirl2011, it is so reassuring to have other pregnant people to connect with and feel comforted/supported, helps to calm my alternating excitement and anxiety.
Heat and humidity is so miserable, it must be so much harder when you're that far along. How do you even breathe?
@callingthestork My sister just delivered her second child last Monday, Jun 22 after experiencing secondary infertility. I was asking her for pregnancy tracker app recommendations. She recommended What to Expect and Pregnancy+. Pregnancy+ will show you a picture of what your LO looks like each week. I showed my husband the week 4 picture and he was like, "What the he** is that? Never show me this again." Men.
@callingthestork and @laurelew – Congratulations on your pregnancy and welcome to the board!

How far along/EDD? 32+5

How are you feeling this week? Tired, SPD is still a not fun thing :s

Rants/Raves? Questions? I have a pretty good idea what the sex is now, based on a previous phone consult with a doctor, and the last two interactions with this one MW. So I'm kinda pissed. I don't know what I have to do to get my proper Team Green delivery room moment over here! :s :s :s And I mean, I could still be wrong, and it's not like I've SEEN the results, but it still just sucks knowing my provider knows, and has been kinda awkward about it. :/ Now I feel like I can't even talk names too much anymore because I don't want to give DH too much of an impression either way.

Any upcoming appointments? Just saw the MW yesterday, chiro again tomorrow. My next MW apt at 34w will be telemed, then the real fun begins with the GBS test at 36w, and a scan at 37w.

GTKY: What is your favorite flavor of ice cream (or cake if you're not an ice cream person)? I usually go for a good chocolate, possibly with something simple mixed in, bit I am also a sucker for a nice mint chip!

@angelina1919 you are getting so close!
@31magnolia I'm sorry for the weight concerns. I am right there at the top of the 15-25 lb range they say I'm "supposed" to gain, and I'm hoping desperately to just kind of hover here for a few more weeks ... What has helped me a lot is just DHs diet plan rubbing off on me (except the parts where I stop at the deli for my own personal haagen daas - Whoops!) Which is based more around whole foods and less heavily processed stuff. One of the first things he had to cut was anything with added sugar, or fake sugar, or any fruit juice (apart from a cranberry/lemon water type drink we've been mixing up) I think that alone was a huge step that helped me basically maintain and not gain too much these past four weeks, thank heavens! I feel like that was a good thing for me too, because it's not as if I'm depriving the baby of anything nutritionally, whatsoever. Kwim? Then he eliminated caffeine, gluten and corn. So I have mostly done that, with the exception of working through some of DDs snack crackers we still have on hand, and the odd tortilla. We had been eating A LOT of bread (which mostly all also has added sugar anyway) and been doing some pretty epic ice cream benders at home, so just cutting those two habits, substituting a shake in the morning with plain grass-fed whey and frozen fruit, and fewer carbs / more veggies at mealtimes have been helping me considerably. (((Hugs))) let us know how it goes in the coming days / weeks...
@BusinessWife - Thank for all the tips! I used to be so good about being gluten free a couple years ago, but now that my body seems to be able to tolerate it I've fallen off the wagon. Guess I need to get back on! And just like you noted, my sugar cravings have been crazy. I'm going to cut that out again and just have my single treat a day, like I did when going to prepare for the glucose test. But mostly just try to eat whole foods and no packaged stuff, which is hard because it's super convenient right now. Also, I don't blame you for being ticked if your doctor keeps dropping hints regarding the baby's gender!
Side note, I had a scare yesterday. Heart rate got to high and I got extremely light headed and could feel myself getting ready to black out. Luckily, I didn't, but now I notice that my HR will spike for no reason and I start getting a shortness of breath. It happened again last night while I was just sitting on the couch. I called the doctor today and she wants me to come in. So we'll see what she says.
How is mama and baby boy doing??

@BusinessWife How frustrating that the doctor keeps dropping hints about the baby's gender. And what a burden that puts on your shoulders with trying to keep the secret from your DH so at least one of you is able to be completely surprised.
@31magnolia How scary. And of course we're approaching the holiday weekend, which makes it even harder to get in to see someone ASAP. It seems like that it how it always works out. I hope that someone is able to squeeze you in and that you can get some answers. Definitely keep us updated.
@Kimbrlyg814 Welcome! My EDD is also March 4. You're right on track with me and @callingthestork. I wonder if there will be a small baby boom in late February/early March 2021. Between all of the ladies who were able to start IF treatments again and those trying naturally it's shaping up to be a popular EDD. I have a friend from work who was trying naturally who also shares our March 4 EDD.
afm: I had my 4th beta this morning. My numbers keep rising right on target. I went from 1548 hcg on Tuesday to 3590 hcg today. They are bringing me back in on Monday morning for my first ultrasound.
@laurelew I can’t wait to here about your ultrasound!
31Magnolia, hoping you get good answers, and no more heart trouble. I'll keep both of you ladies in my prayers.
@wildrainbow - Your little man looks so precious! It sounds like he's progressing well, so that's wonderful news. Sorry you have to go back and forth. I can imagine that's really hard. Please keep us posted.
@Kimbrlyg814 - Welcome and congrats!
@Kimbrlyg814 Welcome, and Congrats! I had spotting with my first, while on progesterone, on and off till I think it was 10 weeks! So it can be completely normal, but we have also lost three embryos, so I get the pgal brain is hard to shake. (((Hugs)))
@31magnolia How scary! I'm glad you were able to get in with the specialist pretty quickly. I feel like I get occasional palpitations that I've heard can be a pretty normal part of pregnancy, so hopefully it's just something benign like that.
I got bloodwork done; my hCG is 9001, up from 971 a week ago. Progesterone is 48. My nurse said both numbers are good and she thinks this is a subchorionic hemorrhage rather than a miscarriage. She said she spends all of week 6 of people's pregnancies dealing with bleeds. I'm amazed that there's a chance that my pregnancy might continue. Nurse said to quit aspirin but stay on Lovenox, and repeat bloodwork on Wednesday.
Hope everyone else is having a less exciting day, take care.
