@chindimples04 nope! Waiting it out another week, then they'll get me in for labs and induce a cycle if I'm not pregnant. I'm not going to test and I'm going to try my best to not stress about it knowing that there's an end to this limbo sometime in the near future. I finally put aside some time last Thursday to call my dentist to reschedule for an appointment since mine was supposed to be back in April. The receptionist asked my availability and I told her I'm basically all open in the afternoons. I have daily morning meetings, but that's about it so if there's a meeting scheduled in the afternoon it's going to be within the next day or two ahead of the current day.
Even saying my entire afternoons are open she said I wouldn't be able to get in until AUGUST. I get that they're spacing things out so there's less appointment times available, but how crazy is it that even with half of my days entirely open it would be over a month to get in??
Just what the heck. Thankfully, when I had called it was about 10:30 and she said she had an appointment that day at noon so I took it so that I can get 2 cleanings in this year.

@inthewoods23 I called my dentist because I was supposed to get to be seen in April. I called right when they opened, I am free EVERY DAY during the summer and I can’t get in until SEPTEMBER! it’s so frustrating! I haven’t been to the dentist since October. I went to get in!

@chindimples04 that's so wack lol and I especially needed to get in because I've been having issues with food getting caught between the back 2 teeth and it's been a recurring issue. I was looking up water flossers over the weekend because I think food sometimes gets caught up in my gums on the sides too which regular floss doesn't get to. I got notified by Amazon that one of the flossers I was looking at is on a lightning deal today so I went for it! $31 with tax. It's not the name brand WaterPik, but good enough for me.
What didn't make the most sense was that someone had an appointment at the same time as me last week so it's not like they only ever have 1 patient at a time! Made no sense. Granted, they opened up about a month ago so I was way behind on calling to schedule.

@inthewoods23 When I first established care with my OB I had to wait 6 months to get in! This was years ago too. So Covid had nothing to do with it. It’s wild how far out some offices can be booked.
@jenotontx my RE is like that. I waited over 2 months for my first embryo transfer. Then when that failed we did a biopsy to make sure the timing was correct - since the holidays were coming up that was another 2 months of waiting. And THEN once I had the results from that in January the earliest date for a 2nd transfer was the very end of March! And the weird thing is I rarely see other people in the waiting room with me. Who are all these other people using my clinic?? 😂

Yikes. All this delayed appointment talk makes me wonder if there's going to be a long wait for my egg retrieval, embryo testing and transfer.
I was supposed to have my dental cleaning back in March, but obviously it was rescheduled. I finally got in last week and it was definitely a different experience. They can't do a typical cleaning with the toothpaste, they can only do the scraping part. The hygienist said they're not allowed to do some things because of the spray it creates. I was impressed by the safety measures they had in place. You could tell they were all really happy to be back to work!
@emeraldduchess that's really interesting! I didn't have anything different with my cleaning. They did have a new suction tool that probably helps cut down on spray in the air. The end that they stick in the mouth is a leaf shape with suction coming from all sides. No idea if that's new from the pandemic or just something they got this year just as a general improvement to the cleaning experience.

Ahh I always put off the dentist and this thread is stressing me out!! Lol. I usually go 2x a year but obviously haven't been yet this year, and am totally putting off my appt. Has anyone had success making hair appointments? How far out are those scheduled?
@_orchid_ I got a hair appointment for 2 weeks out or so with my stylist. I could have gone in way earlier if I had the ability to go in during the middle of the day. Normally my appointments are always 5:15 but couldn't get that for weeks but I did find one at a 4:15 time slot.

@inthewoods23 ok that doesn't sound too bad! I'm so torn about when to schedule mine- I get highlights and usually go every 12 weeks. Not sure if I should schedule now- it's been since January and my roots are grown out enough it looks balayage, or wait until August in case they have to close again.
I know it's Tuesday but when you send a message to your dr and you get a response right away and get so excited only to have it be the nurse letting you know they forwarded your message on to the dr.

I was supposed to have my dental cleaning back in March, but obviously it was rescheduled. I finally got in last week and it was definitely a different experience. They can't do a typical cleaning with the toothpaste, they can only do the scraping part. The hygienist said they're not allowed to do some things because of the spray it creates. I was impressed by the safety measures they had in place. You could tell they were all really happy to be back to work!
