I’m struggling with fitness right now. Before this pregnancy I was running 3-5 miles a day, with longer runs on the weekends. I had to give running up 2-3 weeks in because it was just too much and I’m pretty depressed about it.
DH and I did get kayaks before the summer started and have been going out regularly in them, which is a good workout, and days when we don’t take the kayaks out I’m managing a 30 minute workout at home. These workouts consist of weights and the elliptical.
My goal is to do at least 30 minutes of exercise everyday, even on the days when I don’t feel great I still try to just take a walk around the neighborhood.
I really fell off the wagon for about two weeks because I hurt my knee somehow...taking that amount of a break was definitely not necessary but I just got lazy after the first week! I was taking some walks but that was it for way too long. I did get back into yoga this week with two remote classes from the studio where I'm a member. And this morning I did my first Baby2Body workout in several days. They send me three workouts every Friday and I'm determined to do the other two this coming week plus more yoga.
@lavenderclouds also reminded me in her post last week to do kegels...I tried yesterday and I'm going to try a little every day, but yeah it's so hard figuring out if I'm working the right muscles!
I definitely want to do at least 30 minutes per day and at least a 30min walk on days when I don't do yoga or a workout.
I’ve been walking 2 miles everyday but I have the plague so I haven’t done barre at all this week. Hopefully I’m back to normal soon and can start fresh next week!
I've mainly been walking because I was part of a steps challenge at work the past 5 weeks but I'd like to mix in a few he workouts as well there are a few good ones I like on YouTube. I'm hoping to be more motivated in the second tri. I just want to sleep after work!
I have def not been reaching my movement goals 😔 I’d like to walk or swim everyday along with prenatal yoga stretching. Some days I only do 15 minutes of stretching, other days... I do nothing.
I’m really hoping once I’m in the second trimester I’ll be able to do more! 🤞
I’m used to working out 6 days a week, primarily strength training with some cardio. First tri nausea and exhaustion has taken its toll. I started a beachbody Barre program which is something, I do it 3 times a week and add an arm day in for a fourth day. It’s way more low key, and I feel like I’m losing all my muscle tone, but at least I’m moving still? I’m hoping my energy and stamina picks up again soon.
