GTKY: What were you like in high school? Did you enjoy high school? Have you been to a high school reunion or would you go if your school had one? I didn't mind high school, my dad worked at mine (which I knew before choosing to go there). I was on a couple of sports teams and the president of the Classics Club (Ancient Romans and Greeks and latin). My class was planning a reunion for this October, but I'm guessing that will be cancelled because of the pandemic.

MaryNog I know how you feel re nausea. The first couple days I didn't have it, it was like night and day. I had forgotten what normal felt like. Then, it also came back for a bit for me. I hope it goes away soon!
hp242 YES re snails pace! Especially when I was prior to week 10, it felt like time was moving soooo slow. Now, luckily--either bc things have picked up in my daily activities, or bc I'm not thinking about pregnancy quite so much--it's passing quicker.
and the heat makes me puke 😬
@hp242 yes! This tri seems to be taking forever!
@aels12 interesting you had for fight for NIPT approval. My office actually recommends it to anyone who wants it. I wish we were doing it but our insurance covers the NT Scan and not NIPT so we are going that route to start.
@aels12 I'm 36 so they recommended NIPT for me and it's covered although it doesn't feel very "covered" to me because I have to pay way more than I expected towards my deductible! I have a friend who also insisted on it when she was under 35 and was happy to pay out of pocket. If you want to pay out of pocket they shouldn't have any problem giving it to you, geez! That sucks that you had to fight with the office!! I think some doctor's offices are so used to seeing insurance companies deny people treatments and tests because they're not covered, that the idea of telling someone they can't have a damn test for their own well-being has become normalized, grrrr.
@stillcozy Ooh a free diaper bag! That's good that your office recommends the test for people who want them, that's how it should be! You're not asking for a little treat for yourself, it's a freaking test! Haha
Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 1/8, 11 weeks 4 days
@whitealbum29, if it makes you feel better, I would call! I'm not a big cheese person, so this isn't something I researched. So exciting to hear the heartbeat for the first time!
@stillcozy, congrats on the diaper bag!
@whitealbum29 all cheese sold in the US has to be pasteurized. I looked into this a lot during my last pregnancy because I wanted buffalo mozzarella like it was nobody’s business
12+3
June 30 is my 12 week appointment, late because my doctor or is on vacation this week
still really tired, feeling that more than anything else. I’ve started to feel the baby move if I’m laying on my belly. Some nausea but primarily only late at night when I’m beyond tired.
I was homeschooled so my education wasn’t very traditional. I was very involved in extracurricular and super busy though, volunteer work, sports, music, etc. I won’t have a reunion, my H has his 20th coming up in the next couple of years, not sure if we will go, we live 1000 miles away from his HS but his family is all still there so maybe if it aligned with a visit.
whitealbum29 yay for first appt! Wow, they had you wait a while. Also, I second what everyone's saying: cheese must be pasteurized to be sold in the US. I keep having freak out moments w food from restaurants too, wondering if they made it in house, but my husband is like, they would be out of business so fast.
HappyFeet34 Whaaat?? No way you can feel the baby move. Maybe it's bc you're a STM+ that you can detect. That's amazing!
@lavenderclouds Yeah I was surprised that my doctor didn't want to see me right away! Not sure what she would have done at like 5 weeks but still, haha. I did have an ultrasound at 7 weeks and had a telehealth appt with a nurse a couple weeks ago, but it was the first time actually seeing the doctor and it was good to see her!
@happyfeet34 Wow amazing that you can feel baby already!

I wasn't "In" but I wasnt "out" either. Just somewhere in the middle. I didn't enjoy it or not enjoy it. It was just what i did. Work school home. Wash rinse repeat. I we.t to my 10 year reunion a few years ago. But it wasnt anything special because we all basically keep up with each other on Facebook.
