Belly measuring bigger?

I'm 29 weeks and today the drs told me my belly is measuring at 35 weeks. I wonder if anyone else had this issue and what was the cause of it? I already had the diabetes test and it came back good. Baby was measuring small last trimester but caught up.

I know they generally take a certain margin they don't worry about, like maybe +/- 2cm, but 6 cm seems like a big discrepancy!  I really have no idea, and I wouldn't want to start taking guesses over the internet.

    What did your provider say?

^wss Typically, more than 3 cm off in either direction is when they'd start to look into potential causes. At 6 cm, I would have expected your provider to say something and recommend an ultrasound.

Fwiw, it is possible for GD to develop later in pregnancy after you've already passed the test.

There are a whole host of things it could potentially be, and a google search would turn those up. But I'd start by talking to your provider. Personally, I'd be a little bit concerned about my provider if they didn't say anything when they came up with that big of a discrepancy.
  • The ob scheduled me for an emergency ultrasound on monday to see what is going on. I have tried not to google it for fear of making myself worry. I was hoping someone else had gone thru this.
  • Ob had mentioned fluid, fibroids or my son maybe now being a big baby.

Ah, ok. I'm glad they're looking into it. I mean, it is possible there is a person or two on here who's had that, but really, their one or two specific situations of it being a big deal or nothing doesn't change what's currently happening inside your uterus. I'm sure it's hard, but you're just going to have to hang tight and wait for your ultrasound.
