What are your plans for the weekend?

Last night we took our doggo on her first boat ride! She was a little anxious (wouldn't sit down) but not vocally displeased. She seemed fascinated and kept walking all around the boat to stick her head out underneath the railing and watch the world go by. I told the hubs maybe we just need to go out a bit and anchor one night so she can just get used to being on the water without us actually *going* anywhere to see if she'll relax. Definitely a repeat experience to figure out if she'll like it or not.

Today we're finally moving some of our furniture to our new house! I'm beyond ready (mentally) but so not ready (physically, in terms of packing). But we'll make the best of it!

Some yard work and a boat right with the SKs somewhere in there too. Sunny and mid-80s all weekend. Guess I can't be lax on the sunscreen anymore.

It is HOT here today. We filled up the kiddie pool so we will do that when DS wakes up from his nap. I may be getting in with him lol

BIL is over tonight and we had mexican food and are bingeing the office for the millionteenth time. Tomorrow I think my coworker may come over for a bit. Pretty laid back.

My H, DS and I went hiking at a trail nearby with our quarantine friends (H’s colleague and her husband; we hang out with them a lot). We climbed over 3,000 ft in just over a mile! RIP legs.

Here was the view at the top, with foothills in the immediate background and larger mountains waaay back there at the horizon. I’ve been anxious about this trail for a while because I didn’t think I could do it, but it wasn’t as bad as I had worked myself up to thinking!

@WildMagelet I’ve always wanted to take our pups out on the water... one of these days we’ll get to it! Glad yours did pretty well!

Pretty quiet over here... just a lot of POAS! We got our initial BFP yesterday at 4 am and I felt like I needed some confirmation.

We’re keeping the news pretty quiet but we did tell our parents today. They live locally and we’re really close to them so I just didn’t see us being able to keep that secret.

@vizsladogmom - Sometimes it's hard to keep from those closest to you! I had known for less than a week and DH's ex just *knew*. She's pretty intuitive, we're pretty close, and I had been considering telling her anyways, so when she straight up asked in private we confirmed.

We bought a Suburban! It totally wasn’t planned but we decided to start looking at larger cars and wouldn’t ya know we found one. I’m Obsessed with the space ❤️

It will also come in handy for moving because we need a bigger home too 😂
