We decided now that our son is almost 2 that it's time for another. I've had the implant for about 6 months, did anyone have any difficulties getting pregnant? How long did it take? Was it multiples? Any advice will be great! Thank you in advance❤

I had nexplanon between my babies, it was in place for probably 1 1/2 years when it was removed and had begun to lose some potency (I was having more breakthrough bleeding). I had it removed easily because it was placed properly (apparently that’s not always the case). Got my period within a month, I was temping to confirm ovulation which started up again after my period. Got pregnant within 4 months. No multiples, birth control likely wouldn’t have any effect on that.
With all that said my body is not your body and my situation is not your situation so all this is just anecdotal. You may have the same experience or you may not. Talk to your doctor about specific questions, but ultimately if you want to have another baby now the only way is to get it removed.DD1: June '16 DD2: March ‘19 :::: Married since 2011 :::: USN Wife ::::

QFP Well, I'm not sure how much of your intended audience your question may reach on the first trimester board, but I'm also not sure where a better place to ask might be...
That said, I don't personally have any experience with this topic, but I feel like these would have been great questions to find answers to BEFORE having a hormonal contraceptive device IMPLANTED into my body. 🤷 J/s

Another friend that was on BC didn't get pregnant until after a year of removal. Which her dictionary said isn't uncommon? IDK. It's what I've been told by two people who have gone through it.
