@dumbledoredies They do that to me all the time, but it's been worse since the update. Usually I can just reload the app and it will work - it seems to do it more when my internet connection is unstable.

@windywoman yeah, I am guessing I will be even more of a mess this time too. Especially since I had 6 months off with DD (because I quit my job to move for MHs new job) and I know I am not going to get as much time off with this baby. Not looking forward to that. Also your beach vacation sounds so perfect! Enjoy!
I sold my Christian Louboutins on Mercari yesterday. Backstory I bought them 6 years ago and they KILLED my feet. Either the size was wrong or the style of shoe just didn’t work for me. But I sold them and I’d be lying if I wasn’t a little sad. I mean they were collecting dust, but were also a big girl purchase for me when I moved home from DC. Bye red bottoms, you’ll be missed lol!
Just need to vent. We just got turned down again for a mortgage loan. We've been trying for almost two years to buy a house but my credit has been an issue and even though I have gotten it up and made all of my payments on time for 3 years it is still holding us back. I am just super frustrated at this point. Our apartment is too small and it is almost impossible to find a home to rent with all of our animals so I just feel stuck and I hate it. I wish I had known at 18 how important my credit would be. UGHHHHH. It'll work out but every time we think we are finally at a point where we can get approved we hear no again and I am so sick of it.
Any good Memorial Day sales out there? We’re about to move so I should probably hold off on any big purchases but I am also envisioning a new play room and feel like I should take advantage!
@potofgolden yes. I have been working with a credit repair company for 8 months or so. I've got perfect payment history for the last 3 years but unfortunately it still doesn't seem to be enough. Just so frustrating. We just have to hold off a bit longer I guess. I am just so tired of getting my hopes up.
I just went to a prenatal chiropractor and it was amazing! I would highly recommend it to anyone dealing with hip or back pain. I’m so excited to be able to get some relief and also really curious to see if it’ll affect whether I have another breech baby or not.
I battled with posting this or not, but I feel like this is a safe enough space to “vent” or whatever.
I’m so sick of social media today. Every other post I scroll past is something heartbreaking and depressing. I think I need to take a real break from FB/IG/etc...not here! It’s challenging my positive outlook for bringing a child into this kind of world. I don’t want to be worrying and stressing about the crazy that my baby is going to be brought into at this point in my pregnancy. Not that turning a blind eye to it will make it go away, but some of the stuff I’ve seen in the last day or so makes my stomach turn. I need positive happy vibes ONLY!!! 😓 ugh. Sorry for the rant/vent. I try to talk to my friends and family and I think they think I expect them to fix it or that I’m targeting them when I’m not. It’s just IN GENERAL. Why are people getting caught up in the negative right now?!
I don’t know. And I know we can’t really do much about it. But I wish people would highlight more of the GOOD. That’s probably me just being selfish....
@mama-buckets I absolutely understand where you are coming from! I deactivated my FB account 3 years ago and it is one of the best things I have ever done. Every once and awhile I will get on it to check on family, etc. but that is rare. I still use instagram but I limit the people I follow.
I'll have to figure out what to do when we move to FB cause I want to stay a part of this BMB though maybe a new account that I just use for the group.
@mama-buckets YES! I 100% agree with you! I'm a very optimistic person and I can't handle all of the negativity everywhere. I feel like it just triples the anxiety I have for my kids safety. I like to remind myself that just because I hear or see something that doesn't mean it happens all the time or everywhere I go. I'm probably just in denial but it helps!
@mama-buckets Yep, I agree!!!! A couple months ago I deactivated Instagram and did a massive Facebook delete. I figured if I wouldn't say hi to you walking down the street in real life why are you on my Facebook! Got rid of a couple hundred people doing that!!! Then I went through and unfollowed a bunch of negative people on my feed, but that I felt I couldn't outright delete (mostly DH's family 🤣). I found it made a huge difference!
Rant and Rave: We are on baby watch! My big sister, due 6/2 went in for an appointment and they want to induce her! She lost part of her mucous plug on Sunday and has been having a slow water break (She didn’t realize). She is only at a 1cm. Her SO is going to be keeping me in the loop, (he is a douche, so not looking forward to that) And then I’m supposed to spread the news to our parents and my other sister. Her SO thinks she most likely will have a c-section, because of her being at a 1cm at time of induction. What do y’all think? She is team green and it really sucks that we don’t all get to wait in the waiting room for this. And don’t get to see the baby until he/she comes home. I hate you Covid!
Side note: We were going to announce on FB today we are pregnant, I think we will wait. But not sure until when. What is the etiquette on this?
@potofgolden how exciting!! I dont think being 1cm at induction is any indicator of having a csection but I'm not a doctor lol 😆 and I think you should announce today if you're ready! Do it before the baby announcement comes!
@potofgolden if childbirth has taught me anything it’s that each birth is unique and different. Induction starts labor or it’s supposed to...so I don’t feel that’s a precursor to c-section...? For be #2 was 15 minutes...#3 was 8 hours...they’re all different? Sorry he’s a douche.
Etiquette wise...I’ve struggled with this. Personally I’d probably wait? I’m the oldest of six...there are always sibling dynamics. I’d want to avoid the perception I was stealing her minute.
@mama-buckets I try to balance today by thinking all times have had good and really bad? I’ve purged my social media of negative people and limited my news of late. The best I can do is love my little people and try to be a better person....?
@name1109 yeh I think I am going to wait to share the news. She is not on Facebook, but I’m sure we will announce (her baby)on Facebook when we get her blessing. Then I’ll figure out when we will announce our baby.
I really don’t trust that her doctor/hospital know what they are doing. I know they are professionals, it all seems odd, or maybe I’m not receiving the correct info. They found out today that her water had not broke, and thinks maybe it did when they gave her an epidural this morning. They gave her the epidural when she was at 2, which seems super early. I’m also confused as to how they did not know her water had not broke already. Did they not check it!? The hospital only delivers vets/active duty/ military spouses babies so they don’t deliver that often. They even play a lullaby throughout the hospital when a baby is born. It makes me worried. Last update she was at a 4 or a 5. What’s up with the OR?
@potofgolden errrrrrr they didnt check if her water had actually broken? 🤔 it's a simple swab test that they do to check lol. I'm sure they know what they are doing but that's definitely questionable.
2cm is early to get an epidural but it's not unheard of. I got an epidural at 3cm when I had DS! I don't recommend getting it that early but by then I had been in labor for 18 hours and really, really needed a break. They think I wasn't dilating because I had scar tissue on my cervix from a prior surgery. They suspected it was preventing my cervix from dilating. I ended up with a 44 hour labor/delivery 🤪 some of which may have been a result of getting an epidural at 3cm lol
My sister had her baby via C-Section last night at 10:00. Nothing wrong with a C-Section, but I think the doctors really screwed the pooch on her labor. Her body was not ready to have the baby, she only made it to a 4cm.
Happy to report mom and baby are healthy! We have only heard from her SO so far which kinda sucks. But it’s a Girl!! 💓 That makes 3 sisters all having girls for their first baby. Wow! (I was 90% certain it was a boy by the way she was carrying) They are naming her Heidi Rebekah. I’m loving it. We can’t wait to get word on when she they will be out of the hospital so we can visit.
*** dirty lurker*** @potofgolden you can have a small/slow leak of your amniotic fluid but not actually have the bag break. Depending on where you are in gestation they frequently move towards induction because there is risk for infection especially if you are GBS+. With my second delivery I had this. I had several small leaks of fluid and was less than 1cm dilated. We were able to have a successful induction that resulted in a successful VBAC. Congrats on your niece.

I am back from the beach and back in the office Both of which suck! I only have to come in 3 days this week and next so it won't be too bad and will kinda ease me back into it. Plus my commute was like 15 minutes!
