@dobiemom11 Ugh, that's awful. I've only done online orders once, and was really impressed with Harris Teeter. They called me the day of to walk through what wasn't available and ask if the suggested substitutions were ok. That said, most people I talk to haven't had the same experience, so I don't know if it's HT-specific or just my particular store. I'd totally add a note "BEWARE: Pregnant woman ordering, contact for approval on substitutions".
@hadassah2020 I've been doing well with frozen cubed mango. Usually I microwave it to add to yogurt, but I've also used it to make a mango salsa/salad and it came out great. Slightly softer than fresh, but the flavor and overall texture were good.
Lunch is a buffalo chicken salad (Tyson's buffalo chicken tenders on top of lettuce and ranch dressing...was one of my standard "single girl" meals before I met my husband). I'm extremely excited...is it lunchtime yet?
Edit: Now I'm reading about all these delicious sandwiches and I want to order delivery...
@tryingktogku oooh I'm going to add buffalo chicken dip ingredients to my next grocery pick up! I'll get celery too so I'm not just eating a bunch of tortilla chips haha.
I normally eat suuuuper healthy and really desire healthy food, however I've been the complete opposite since week 6. I want any and all carbs. Ramen noodles was one of my cravings but thankfully not anymore!
One strange craving is Starbucks coffee, specifically their Flat White... I've had an aversion to homemade coffee lately. I've always been picky about my coffee but never this picky 😂
@tryingktogku oh man, the possibilities! I'd wait until close to dinner time to decide, since you might change your mind 100 times

I am starving and nothing can fill me up anymore!!! All I want are carbs and chocolate. I don’t remember the hunger being this strong this early with my other pregnancies. All I was is a big fatty sandwich and fries tonight
@bearmomma1 that’s exactly what’s happening! It’s like I want everything and nothing all at once ugh
update: I’ve decided not to order anything and have an egg on goat for dinner haha I’m going to regret this tomorrow when I have some strong craving but right now nothing else seems good!
I've avoided this thread because nothing ever sounds good to me anymore.
With DS it was buffalo everything! With DD it was random stuff that would hit me at random times but I had rarely indulged because I was newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic and was terrified of messing up!
So the first craving I had this pregnancy was deviled eggs. I had them on Easter and I they were so good. Then I had them for breakfast three days that week!! (Side note, that's when I KNEW I should take a test 😂😂) Also tacos were a thing for me early on. Then nothing sounded good, especially if I cooked it.
Although, I saw a Subway commercial last night and it's all I can think about since. I cant remember the last time I've had Subway but I may need to get it after my appointment today!
@elangenfeld I thought it was just me with the coffee! I want it...but when I'm drinking it I just lose all interest. That said, a flat white or latte sounds fantastic. The other day my husband offered to make me some cold brew, maybe I'll make some of that and some vanilla simple syrup. I think it might be the bitterness, and cold brew tends to be a bit smoother
@nmadjeski. Deviled eggs was the first one for me. I am not saying I ate 8 of them for lunch one day, but I am also not saying it. Sadly the next time I made them, I just didn't really want them. Should make some more, since it is more protein than I am currently eating.
Update: Got my sandwich, and hooooooly cr*p was it amazing. Exactly what I wanted/needed. In my head I'm waxing poetic about how wonderful it is, but will spare you all. The walk there and back also helped a lot. I was sick over the weekend and work's been crazy, so I haven't left the house since last Friday. I really need to be better about that.
Lately I’ve been craving a lot of fish and been wanting to eat lots of fish tacos and fish burgers etc. I had fish Tacos for lunch today and omg it was Delicious.
I had turkey on a baguette for lunch and omg so good. DH made steaks for dinner and I ate about half of mine before giving him the rest 🙁 I’ve really been craving a brownie sundae for some reason, so we bought vanilla ice cream and hot fudge sauce and I’m gonna make my scratch brownies tomorrow. I would do them tonight, but kinda don’t feel like it 🤣

I had a craving that only lasted one meal. It was hot crusty french bread. I ate a little bit, and haven't craved anything since. That was like week 5, and I'm almost to week 12 now lol
I want empanadas. There's a Mexican restaurant by the beach that does with with chicken and shrimp and they're all I can think about! A curbside order will have to happen soon!
On Friday we finally got our buffalo chicken pizza. The pizza place is a bit intense with their toppings, so tons of cheese, sauce, and the chicken is actually their boneless wings (so...super breaded and huge chunks). It was amazing and has temporarily cured my junk food cravings. Since then all I want are vegetables and fruit.
I made Vietnamese spring roll bowls for dinner last night...I had leftovers for lunch but there wasn't that much left so I was still hungry...couldn't figure out anything else that sounded good...except for spicy ramen! So I just made some...even though it's 90+ degrees outside...but mmm spicy ramen

Today I had my first meal that resembled anything that I would have ate pre pregnancy that I haven’t been able to look at/ cook/ smell in the last three months! Lol honey mustard chicken, beets, corn on the Cobb and sweet potatoes!
Out of the blue - anything with mayonnaise in it, which I normally avoid. In particular my grandma’s recipe for “kidney bean salad.” It was a childhood staple that my grandma made for me EVERY time I went to her house (which was often) along with jello & cool whip. The recipe is a classic 1950’s housewife mayo-based salad. I’m pasting it here in case anyone else is interested in eating all of the mayo.
Grandma’s Kidney Bean Salad
1can Dark Kidney Beans, Drained
2-3 eggs, hard boiled, then chopped
1 cup diced celery
2 Tablespoons chopped onion
½ cup chopped sweet pickles
½ cup Mayonnaise
1 teaspoon (roughly) Salt
Combine all ingredients and chill in the refrigerator.
@shelmcclel I’ve been eating a lot of things with mayo and just mayo in general lol but it’s all safe cause the mayo I eat is pasteurized. That recipe sounds pretty good. Thank you for sharing that.
@mindyb2019 milk was one of my biggest cravings last pregnancy! I had to have cereal every day and ice cream at night. I was pregnant through winter and I would be standing in front of our fire place while eating bowls of ice cream to keep warm and satisfy my craving at the same time
