What is the most impressive thing you know how to do?
We've all got skills of some sort of another. It doesn't have to be jaw-dropping, just something interesting. Weither its painting, playing a musical instrument, whatever. Let's hear about it?
I can play the piano. Took lessons as a kid and hated it, but now if I see a piano I have to sit and play the few songs I know (horribly out of practice) and alway think “I should take this back up!”😬

I coach cheerleading and my athletes are always impressed when I stunt with them. It makes me feel good (and strong) knowing I still have the ability to hit stunts and even learn new ones as the skills continue to evolve.
@cheers28 I’m always telling my family and DH that I wish there were older teams. I would love to still stunt. It was my favorite part of cheerleading! Keeps you in such amazing shape running through routines!
@conni0205 - An all star gym in my area actually has an open adult team, so maybe look around your area! My assistant coach and I were actually going to look into joining it this upcoming season....but I'm pregnant now so that's not going to happen, lol.
@cheers28@conni0205 I am amazed when I see cheerleaders and gymnasts do stunts. They always make it look so easy but then when I try to do anything beyond a cartwheel and realize how much power it takes, it just absolutely blows my mind!
Maybe not a skill but I used to run ultramarathons. I’ve done a couple 50km runs and three 50 mile races, a couple of which were unsupported (meaning I had to navigate myself, find and filter my own water and carry all my own food). The biggest skill it takes is being able to totally go into the zone and feel no pain or discomfort for hours and hours at a time. I’m really hoping that comes in handy during labor 😂
Oh and I can start a fire out of sticks! That’s a good one too haha.
I can figure skate! Twirls and swirls and all that. I don't jump anymore (knees and ankles are pretty shot) but I can still "figure skate". I made it to state levels when I was 12 before I stopped (too tall).
These were made when I was still in pastry school and I didn’t quite trust myself with more complex shapes. One of my classmates said the chocolate one resembled a penis 🙄
I don't know if it's a skill, but I'm still in awe that I can feed my babies from my boobs. It's just so cool. After a really rocky start (lip and tongue ties, nipple shields, the works), DD breastfed until 30 months, and DS is still going strong at 14 months, even though I don't know how much a supply I have since being PG. The coolest was the 9 months of feeding them both, including some tandem time. I suspect I'll do the same again with this LO and big brother.
@willashbaby I’m so jealous that you can figure skate. I can’t even ice skate. Last time I tried, I came home with a giant blister on my ankle and I will never do it again 😂
@bartonolivia. Those portraits are stunning. I painted for like ten years during school, but mostly stuck with landscapes. I still paint now, but mostly paint by numbers. I love how relaxing the activity is, but just don't have the mental bandwidth to be creative.
@bartonolivia ouch! That's par for the course though. My feet are basically destroyed from only 6 years of competitive skating. When I do skate now I still use "good" skates. Nothing you get from a regular shop will actually be good, you have to go to a skate shop and be fitted. My current skates I had to oven/hot sock mold about 10 times before I had a decent fit, lol! They still aren't very broken in since I don't even have 30 hours in them.
@willashbaby. That is bringing back so many memories for me. My sister was a competitive speed skater and they had to do the same thing with her boots. She did it on a roller rink for many years, but then did figure skating in high school for one season. She was so tiny compared to all the other girls, but dang she was fast.

@bearmomma1 I wish I knew how to play the piano. I always wanted to learn and so jealous of people that can. I was never musically inclined haha
For me, I'd say most impressive is that I can tap dance. I have been doing it for almost 10 years now and I'm pretty good at it. I enjoy it so much!
