Re: Baby brain

  • I took a nearly full carton of eggs and almost "put them away" into the trash

  • Oh geez! Mine has been pretty bad too mostly I forget names or names for things. I’ve called my 2.5 year old pretty much every other name but his own. And most of the time it’s his girl cousins names lol. Poor kiddo
  • Oh this has been horrible.  I'm typically a super quick thinker and doer, and now I'm so clumsy and absent minded.  I was so quick before I didn't have time to think before I spoke or anything and now I just don't even think ever it seems like.  So many embarrassing situations, glad we haven't been able to have many social gatherings for me to make a fool of myself more!
  • For me, I suddenly have the short term memory of a goldfish. Like I walk into a room to specifically do something but can’t remember what it was or call a coworker to specifically talk to them about 2 things but can only remember one of them. I can usually remember after a minute but I really hope it doesn’t get worse.
  • This pregnancy I haven't had any major baby brain incidents yet, but with my first baby, I was making lunch for myself: heated soup on the stove and then poured it onto a plate. I was standing there watching soup spilling everywhere and just thinking, "wow something is really not right here..." before I realized I was POURING SOUP ON A PLATE.

I was also in grad school at the time and had to take my final qualifying exams, and I felt like I couldn't keep anything in my head when I studied!

  • Definitely forgetting the names of items (last weekend couldn't remember the word "broom" for the life of me) & going to do something and forgetting what it was when I get there (usually while staring into the fridge haha)
  • Haven't had too many incidents yet, but last month or a few weeks ago (time is so weird) I left my computer cart in the middle of a walking aisle and just left work. Like, I wiped it down with a Clorox wipe and put all my things away, but just left the cart instead of putting it in its spot and walked off 😂 my manager didn't notice until after I was gone though so I like to think we're all just tired and crazy at this point
  • Argued with my husband about the package that was delivered. Tracking said delivered on the 23rd and I swore to him it came the day prior on the 22nd and bet my life on it! Looked back and realized I was wrong and had met the UPS man that morning of the 23rd at the door and retrieved the package HAHA
  • I have trouble with lethologica at the best of times but when I am pregnant it is the worst. My poor husband is always having to figure out what the heck I’m trying to say and I get so frustrated. Words and names are always on the tip of my tongue but I just can’t seem to remember them the moment I start talking.
  • Welp I thought I was doing good, but just discovered a big baby brain moment. I do not work on Monday's but the last 3 Monday's I needed to log in to create and send an important report. Well I logged in yesterday and created it. And then today got a text from my boss asking me to send the report out. Despite checking it off my to do list I never actually sent the email to disseminate the report. *face palm*

  • I have baby brain a lot at work. I’ll grab the wrong item that I need or something like that. And I either need to write a to-do list or do a task immediately after thinking about it otherwise I’ll forget, I’m like that normally but it’s even worse now lol
  • I’m not doing enough these days to experience this much. (Not working nearly as much due to covid) Haha. But I think I’m more frequently misplacing things.
  • @greyl I was a huge list person before and if I don’t stop what I’m doing and write things down right away I completely forget !
