EDD/weeks+days: 9/20 (only FIVE more months!) 18+1
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: finding out one week from today!
Baby is the size of a(n): artichoke
Upcoming appointments: 4/27 and the first week of may for a telehealth
How are you feeling? Good overall! Only symptoms I’m dealing with are growing pains, going to bathroom more, sensitive nips, headaches sometimes, and sneezing/runny nose mostly in the mornings
Raves/Rants: still trucking along in this crazy world. My fabric mask should be here soon (haven’t checked the mail so maybe it’s already here idk lol) but of course they want to open places back up already. I started my registry which I’m glad I did now because it’s a lot of work!! I worked on it for over 3 hours yesterday and I still have so much to do. I keep having dreams about the baby, it’s been a boy mostly so we will see in a week! I’m excited but mostly anxious everything will be okay.
As for a rant, we had to take my one dog to the vet the other day because we figured she needed her glands expressed, and of course one of them is infected. So that appt turned expensive real quick. She’s still obsessed with licking down there so we will probably have to bring her back.
Questions: Did anyone have to pay upfront for your anatomy scan? I had to for my NT scan so I’m just anticipating having to for this one too.
GTKY: what’s your favorite zoo/aquarium animal to visit?
I loveeee the zoo and aquarium. Amur leopards are one of my favorite big cats so I like to visit them and the snow leopards. As for aquatic animals, I like sharks, rays, and otters. But I also love looking at all the tropical fish too.
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: pink times two 🎀🎀
Baby is the size of a(n): Pomegranate
Upcoming appointments: I have an appointment today. Anatomy scan is in June
How are you feeling? Feeling pretty good. Occasionally light headed when I stand up too quick and sometimes I feel out of breath when I’m doing nothing but relaxing.
Raves/Rants: I get to see the babies today at my appointment. So excited! And we ordered a second infant car seat and it arrived today.
Questions: none
GTKY: what’s your favorite zoo/aquarium animal to visit? Hippos and monkeys
Ivy: July 2010 | Stella: Dec 2012 | BFP#3: MMC at 11Wk's, July 2017 | Wyatt: April 2019 | BFP#5: Twin Girls due Sept 2020
Upcoming appointments: just had anatomy scan and 20 week appointment today. Next is may 21
How are you feeling? The anatomy scan was a milestone appointment for us and it went amazing! Ryan was so good for the measuring and pictures. MFM doctor said he was so happy with the scan that Ryan looks great! Such a weight off our shoulders.
Raves/Rants: now to buy more stuff for Ryan lol they let my Husband come too. We are in Michigan and our county hasn’t peaked we were required to wear masks.
Which BTW wearing a mask is awful. I feel so sorry for everyone who has to wear them everyday.
Questions:
GTKY: what’s your favorite zoo/aquarium animal to visit? Red Panda! He is just so cute and lazy lol.
How are you feeling? Tired. Easily overfull but often very hungry. Mentally drained about covid. Stifled about preparing for baby without going to a store.
Raves/Rants: I am still on cloud 9 about this being a girl.
Questions:
GTKY: what’s your favorite zoo/aquarium animal to visit? This is so hard. I love zoos. The St Louis zoo is by far my favorite. It is often voted best zoo in the country. It is beautiful, FREE!!, and like most of St. Louis the alcohol is flowing. My fav animal is probably the giant tortoises or the sea lions or whatever animal has a baby.
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Finding out on FRIDAY!!
Baby is the size of a(n): Magic 8 ball
Upcoming appointments: AS on FRIDAY. Can you tell I'm excited? lol
How are you feeling? Still struggling with appetite, nausea if I don't take my pills, exhausted, anxious. Starting to maybe feel a tiny bit better in the past week or so
Raves/Rants: Starting to feel baby move more. Funny story, this morning baby was kicking up a storm so I was sitting with my feet up and my hand on my belly and my toddler came over and started poking my belly and then blew raspberries on it lol. I've been talking to him about baby but pretty sure he has no clue
Questions:
GTKY: what’s your favorite zoo/aquarium animal to visit? Otters or jellyfish. Jellyfish are just so soothing. When I lived in Florida I used to love going to the Tampa aquarium and just sitting in front of the tanks and watching them.
Momma to 3 angels and two amazing children
F born June 2018 W born September 2020 #3 due November 2022
Upcoming appointments: Thursday! Anatomy scan and MFM appointment
How are you feeling? Nausea still bad but maybe improved a little. Heartburn is awful as well. The worst is the pelvic pain. I can hardly walk. Really need to get a support belt and hope it helps. The doctor said the only other thing they maybe could do is physical therapy and She didn’t think they were doing that because of the virus.
Raves/Rants: so much stress and anxiety over finances trying to finish school and work was awful today. I started crying during dinner and I couldn’t even tell you what triggered it.
Questions:
GTKY: what’s your favorite zoo/aquarium animal to visit? My daughter loves the elephants. Her joy when we see them gives me joy.
@Louise_Belcher so happy you've got a little girl cooking! Not that I don't like boys (I'd be happy if this one was a boy!) but I'm sure you're ready for some more X chromosomes in your house (: also, +1 for loving the St Louis zoo!
@ktholysz amazing to be done with this milestone for you! I hope you enjoy your relaxing evening.
Oooh @mflowers929 how many hours is that til your AS!?! 😂 I'm excited for you too!!
@robyn2201 glad you get to see the girls today! I suppose that's one benefit about being PG with twins.
EDD/weeks+days: 17+4
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Green for now!
Baby is the size of a(n): pomegranate (just one pomegranate tho, @robyn2201 😉)
Upcoming appointments: AS but not for another month
How are you feeling? Pretty dang good!
Raves/Rants: not much, just the same as everybody. Tired of being at home but I know the world isn't ready to go back to normal yet, so still here for the foreseeable future, without much certainty on a time line!
Questions: Anybody else feel like they're doing dishes ALL the time being home so much?
GTKY: what’s your favorite zoo/aquarium animal to visit? So many! Definitely any recent baby animals. I always love the elephants too, because they're so smart and playful.
How are you feeling? Mostly good. I just have a headache all the time, but not sure if that is from pregnancy or staring at my computer all day from WFH
Raves/Rants: I am huge. Like, the size I was at like 25 weeks with my first
Questions:
GTKY: what’s your favorite zoo/aquarium animal to visit? Hippos!
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Pink, but green in the face of the public
Baby is the size of a(n): microphone, apparently 😂
Upcoming appointments: Thursday morning, because apparently the one that got rescheduled for last Friday was a mistake and it wasn't scheduled for then so while I was there I got it rescheduled. It won't be my normal doctor, but hopefully the nurse practitioner will look over my file well beforehand and will be nice.
How are you feeling? Honestly? Stressed the fuck out. My SO hates Amazon, and while I understand it, it's putting him in a bad mood every time he has to go in for work and I'm mentally and strategically beginning to budget and prep to go into the rest of this on a single income. It's feasible if I can qualify for food stamps at least 😩
Raves/Rants: On the brighter side, my SO is enamored with little Scarlett, and it warms my heart every time he interacts with the bump and talks to it. The other night he pretended to have a full blown conversation with her and it was the cutest thing on Earth. For a rant, I know we're not supposed to smoke while pregnant but fuck it all I miss weed. I miss being able to not exist for a bit and to have no worries or troubles. Better if I don't smoke though, so I won't.
Questions:
GTKY: what’s your favorite zoo/aquarium animal to visit? At zoos, I love the cats. Anything with cats and I'm all over them 😂 aquariums are fun in general but I love the interactive exhibits where you can touch the starfish or feed the manta rays. Those are always the coolest things to do.
Upcoming appointments: AS on the 30th! I’m so excited but also bummed that DH can’t go.
How are you feeling? Tired mostly. Food/smell aversions are still going strong. My allergies are kicking my bum which is unfortunately making me throw up more because of the post nasal drip. I’m having some wicked rlp triggered by my constant sneezing/coughing. The tree pollen will be the end of me.
Raves/Rants: We bit the bullet and ordered a big boy bed for 2.5 and it should be delivered on Friday. We went with really nice wooden bunk beds that can be separated into individual beds so that when this baby is big enough for his own big bed we just have to pick up a mattress. I really wanted something that would be practical and last them a long time so I’m pretty pleased.
Questions:
GTKY: what’s your favorite zoo/aquarium animal to visit? We live right by the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo which is one of the top ranked zoos in the world. I’m sad because usually this time of year through summer we take advantage of our zoo pass and go almost once a week. My favorites are the bats! We have a giant living jungle and a variety of fruit bats are free flying in the exhibit. They are extremely active in the early evening right before the zoo closes and it is so neat to see tons of them taking flight and swooshing about.
@beaandthebabes we just got our bed in for our 2.5 year old today! Still waiting on sheets and comforter to be delivered so will be transitioning him into it in the next few weeks. He is an amazing sleeper but I'm still nervous about the transition.
How are you feeling? medium. The heartburn is starting, and the headaches are horrible. I had these with DS1 - low level headache all the time, and flareups that turn into migraines. I guess it could be worse, but I kind of liked feeling great for a few weeks!
Raves/Rants: I've been in a low level fight with my ex over how we should handle custody and COVID. We're okay (and usually we're on pretty good terms), but I feel like I'm torn in two directions: my ex maintains that his plan for custody is the best, and my DH has a very different idea of what's best for all of us/the baby/etc. Neither one of them is fully right or wrong, and I don't really fully agree with either of them. I've proposed a middle ground solution, but my ex is skeptical. UGH.
Questions: What are y'all taking for headaches besides tylenol? anything?
GTKY: what’s your favorite zoo/aquarium animal to visit? What a fun question! I absolutely LOVE seeing sharks at aquariums, but at the same time, I hate seeing sharks in captivity. At zoos, my favorite is always the reptile house.
@beaandthebabes I have my scan on the 30th too, and I'm sad about DH not being able to come. He loves ultrasounds. I'm allowed to video call him though
Baby is the size of a(n): Book Choy or endive— don’t know what either one is.
Upcoming appointments: Phone meeting the second week in May
How are you feeling? Good but still struggling with headaches and pain in my one hip/leg.
Raves/Rants: I’ve got nothing beyond complaints about Covid... probably the same ones I’ve already mentioned before so I’ll keep my trap shut. Just wish it would stop! Questions:
GTKY: what’s your favorite zoo/aquarium animal to visit?
We love watching the monkeys and the otters! My husband loves the bears and watching them swim. We were just talking about how we wished we could go to the zoo! DD is at my favorite age to take them.
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: finding out in 2 weeks! So excited!
Baby is the size of a(n): artichoke
Upcoming appointments: had monthly OB scan yesterday and baby’s heartbeat was perfect such a relief! Next week I have a teleconference with my Ob to go over the at home BP she’s having me take daily. (I think I’m ok basically my anxiety before appointments is so bad my BP is always SO high before Doppler and then totally normal after so she’s just being cautious). And then May 6 is anatomy scan with MFM!!
How are you feeling? Better than first trimester that’s for sure! Still on Bonjesta but with that I’m now super hungry and eat a lot, no more puking praise God! Tired but not as tired as first trimester! Just so happy and thankful baby is still growing!
Raves/Rants: anyone else feel like they’re peeing all the time already? I already was treated for a uti I think I just have a small bladder to begin with and now being pregnant I just have to empty very regularly I’m probably gonna be a mom that pees my pants third trimester 😂 and yeah like everyone else- COVID 🤦🏻♀️
Questions:
GTKY: what’s your favorite zoo/aquarium animal to visit?
Aw I love zoos and aquariums! DH and I took DS to the zoo last year and it was so much fun. so bummed we can’t take him to either place now as he would LOVE it at this age! I love many baby animals- so cute! One zoo near us we took our nephews to lets you feed giraffes which is so cool and can’t wait to do that with DS. I like dolphins but the shark exhibit at Camden aquarium is pretty cool too
@angbaby83 Funny story my DH and I managed to lock ourselves out of our only bathroom this afternoon (we have an old door handle type that locks by pushing it in so I guess didn’t realize it was locked when door was shut) anyway I had to pee so bad as always so my DH had to bust down the door 😂
anyway I didn’t have any other symptoms for my UTI they only tested it bc of low back pain which I have come to realize is just due to the fact I have a bad back and my bump plus lifting a toddler is just putting pressure on it! If you’d feel better knowing for sure you could always ask your Ob to do a urine culture. But I think peeing a lot can be normal too since I still am even after uti treatment 😂 and thank you!! I hope you can catch a break soon too! Are you on any meds for the nausea/puking? Bonjesta has been a lifesaver for me
@momofmiracles31889 yeah I will probably ask my doctor at my appointment tomorrow. I'm pretty sure it is normal. I am taking Zofran for the nausea. I was taking b6 and Unisom but I don't think it was doing a whole lot for me. Although Zofran isn't really doing much either. I'm not puking but I just feel miserable especially at night when I'm trying to get my school work done.
@chasingroygbiv my daughter loves going to the zoo. She asks several times a week if we can go. I hate that we can't go right now. Hopefully we will be able to get some trips in at some point this year.
Upcoming appointments: 5/13 is my AS and 20 week appt
How are you feeling? I felt baby kicks this week!! So that made my happy and a little less anxious. I feel like I’ve started putting on more weight and maybe look pregnant now lol
Raves/Rants: Rave = baby kicks. Rant = pregnancy gas/digestion issues... I’ll leave it there lol
Questions:
GTKY: what’s your favorite zoo/aquarium animal to visit? Gorillas, big cats, and beluga whales!
*TW* wasn’t sure where to put this. I didn’t really want to start my own thread....
Had my 20 week ultra sound and discovered that a small portion of baby’s bowel is growing outside of the body. This often means baby has other chromosomal defects. My NIPT was low risk for the common trisomies but there could be other issues. They did an immediate amnio and now we wait for 10 days. Best case scenario baby is fine and will have immediate surgery at birth and be in the nicu. Worst case scenario there are defects that could cause long Term issues. Trying to hold on to some hope but it was a lot to take in. They let my husband come in for the amnio but he wasn’t in the room when we got the news. This is why it’s so sucky to not have your partner in the room. I am thankful that he held my hand during the amnio. I’ll probably be lurking around here but might not feel like contributing much. Will update when I have news. 😟
@angbaby83 I’m sorry you got that news and I’m hoping so much that the results come back okay or are nothing too serious. I will be keeping you and your H and your little babe in my thoughts 🤍
@angbaby83 I'm praying so hard for the best case scenario here. Totally the worst that YH couldn't be there for the AS but I'm so glad he could come support you for the amnio. Keeping everything crossed for you
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Finding out in 2 weeks!
Baby is the size of a(n): not sure... I don't pay attention to this. I think someone else here said artichoke?!
Upcoming appointments: I have my regular appointment on the 7th (hoping to do via telephone) and my anatomy scan is also the 7th.
How are you feeling? Not too bad for the most part. A bit moody. Lots of growing pains. And trouble sleeping already. Otherwise pretty good.
Raves/Rants: My husband goes back to work Monday and I'm just not ready for it. I thought we had at least one more week but I really hoped he would be off until May 8th (I really wanted him to be off for my appointment on the 7th) but somehow his company is calling him back on Monday. It's not necessarily a bad thing but his hours are being cut so that's gonna hurt on top of not having as much help around the house/with the kids. We'll adjust quickly but it's nice to have my boo-hoo moment. We just got the call today and I've been holding back my emotions all day.
Questions:
GTKY: what’s your favorite zoo/aquarium animal to visit? Elephants & penguins
@angbaby83 prayers for you, your husband and your sweet baby! So sorry for that scary news prayers for the best case scenario and for peace as you wait for results

@chasingroygbiv my daughter loves going to the zoo. She asks several times a week if we can go. I hate that we can't go right now. Hopefully we will be able to get some trips in at some point this year.

How are you feeling? I felt baby kicks this week!! So that made my happy and a little less anxious. I feel like I’ve started putting on more weight and maybe look pregnant now lol
