Re: Randoms w/o 4/1

  • @Louise_Belcher I had a scheduled c section because I have a family history of cephalopelvic disproportion (everyone except one aunt wound up with emergency sections their first go around) and since they only do them one day a week at my hospital DS was born at 37w4d.
It was a smaller group (I think we had 20-30?) But to have no one with GD or pre E was pretty amazing!

  • @mflowers929 My last board we had a lot of high risk ladies. No mommas of multiples though. One momma in the hospital several weeks prior to delivering and she had her baby really early. I had lots of issues but thankfully he was a late term preemie and didn’t need NICU time. Several other late term preemies. It was an interesting group. My others bmb’s were boring but good in comparison.

  • @mflowers929 That's an interesting spread. I had GD last time and I'm sure I will this time. Also high risk with twins but taking aspirin daily to ward off preeclampsia, and have hyperthyroid that's being assessed. Fingers crossed.
  • Well sh*t, What’re y’all doin? (for Easter)
  • My best friend forgot that I'm already 18 weeks lol

  • @greyl we're hiding some eggs for DS and we got some hot cross buns delivered from a local bakery. Nothing else really besides that. May drag the baby pool out tomorrow and figure out how to set it up lol

  • @greyl It is supposed to rain/sleet/snow here (despite the fact that it was in the 70s today 🙄) so we’ll hide eggs for the 2yo and make strawberry waffles and then spend the day watching movies.
  • @mflowers929 oh nice!! I had to google what hot cross buns are because I’ve heard of them but never really knew what they were 😂

@beaandthebabes what a weather change!! It’s weird here in SC too, I never know what it’s going to be like outside.
your plans sound awesome though, a nice relaxing day!

For us I told H the other day that I want French toast tomorrow. But idk if we have enough ingredients, other than that we will just be hanging out at home and probably playing our game together. I’ll make salmon and baked potatoes for dinner. We don’t really do anything for Easter but in the future we will for the kids.

  • sooooo good (this is an actual picture from the baker lol). We also got some sausage rolls and meat pies. We already ate all of the sausage rolls and made a meat pie for supper lol

  • For Easter we are doing an egg hunt and basket for our 2 yr old. We will make waffles for breakfast. Then we will sit in driveway and wait for the Easter Bunny to drive by our house. There is a bunny that will be in a car and wave to every house as they go by.
  • @mflowers929 oh neat!! Definitely don’t really see those in the states lol at least I never do but I don’t go to bakeries much. But then I read they’re a traditional Good Friday treat? I guess that makes sense with the cross!

@balletnerd that sounds like a cute day planned!!
  • So we've been kind of poking around looking at properties online. We've found 3 that we're interested in and I thought I'd shock y'all the same as I shocked my usual online gang lol.
One is a 7 acre with a 3 bedroom house and some waterfront for just over $100k, one is a 24 acre with a 2 bedroom house just like 5 minutes outside the city for $150k, and the most expensive one is a 98 acre property with a 3 bedroom house for $175k.
Man I love living here sometimes lol

  • @mflowers929 you're in Canada right? Where abouts? Does not sound like the market here (live about 45 mins outside of Toronto)
  • @megsmcp yeah, my brother lives with family in the Kawartha Lakes region and their house was $600k when they bought it 2 years ago (granted, it is a LARGE house).
We live in southeast New Brunswick 😊

  • @Louise_Belcher some of it will be parking for motorhomes (my parents, uncle, and a couple of their friends) but the rest will be used as a homestead/hobby farm.
We're going to start with chickens and a large garden and expand as we get comfortable.
MH is just excited about being able to get out into the woods. It's funny because he hated it when he was growing up but now that he's older he wants the same as his parents and grandparents.

  • I definitely recommend the seven acres with waterfront!! Cannot imagine anything more pleasant for such a good price, and the house can always be built onto in the future if needed!

I'm not doing anything for Easter, will have work in the evening and Oklahoma is crazy anyway so the morning should be decently warm (like the sixties I think) and then by eight it'll be 23°F outside 🥴 Gotta love the bipolar Oklahoman spring!
  • @raesky1111 the 7 acre is actually at the bottom of our list. There's some weirdness going on with the layout of the house, plus it would need to have the entire top floor gutted. The house is right at the road with the neighbors on either side basically breathing on you (properties here tend to be long and skinny). And there's not much wood which makes my hubby not happy. It's still in the running mostly because of the price lol

  • @Louise_Belcher that will be so fun to do the gender reveal at Easter lunch!

We have an Easter basket for our 2.5yo son. No egg hunting for us this year. It’s also my 35th birthday today (quarantined for a milestone birthday) I told my husband he’s in charge of our son all day and I’m relaxing. And he’s making me breakfast and dinner tonight too. He’ll be busy today lol.
  • We did Easter yesterday because it was supposed to snow today (it did). We did an egg hunt in the back yard and had brunch bake for lunch. DD loved the eg hunt so much that she made us re-hide them like 4 times 🤣. Today we will probably make pancakes and videochat with the fam.

I hope everyone has a great day even if it's more low-key than usual! ❤️
  • @ktholysz happy birthday!! 🥳
  • I am at work today, so we did Easter Friday; a basket, dyed some eggs, ordered takeout and decorated sugar cookies!
  • Happy birthday @ktholysz!

  • @mflowers929 Ahhhh makes total sense!! That would be at the bottom of my list too then, especially while pregnant I don't want to look into anything that will need much more than a fresh paint job.

    @ktholysz happy late birthday!!! 🎉🎉🎉
  • Thanks ladies! Hopefully my 36 birthday will be less quarantined lol
  • @ktholysz  happy belated! Hope it was a good day.
