I don't know what day of the week it is anymore for sure....but its making this pregnancy sure fly by! Holy cow, I can't believe we are all pretty much halfway there.
I need to socially isolate from my husband and daughter. I am counting the hours until my appointment Wednesday and I feel like maybe I'll just sit in an empty parking lot for a while after the appointment to get some quiet time. Also my cats are sick of us being home, they are looking at us like we're the annoying ones. A shining moment, MH and I rented "Knives Out" on Amazon Prime over the weekend and we typically don't enjoy the same type of movies but we really enjoyed that. We sat on the couch and drank caffeine free diet soda together while munching on popcorn and it ALMOST felt like we were on a real date.
My cats have been extra snuggly now that they've realized DH and I are home every day with them. I currently have one curled up on my feet snoring away.
I ordered a dresser for the nursery over the weekend and just got an email that it's out of stock. When I talked to someone at BBB over the weekend it sounded like they had a bunch in stock, so not sure what happened there.
It's crazy that we are all almost half way. How did that happen??? I can't remember if the first half or the second half of pregnancy went quicker with my first.
Last week was our spring break week so this week I am back to work, but virtual. I have three one-hour meetings today so that should be interesting while solo parenting a toddler. Also my dog is sick he turned 11 yesterday and we had to take him to the vet on his birthday. He went over 2 weeks ago and was put on antibiotics for a head cold but he finished those and still is lethargic with sneezing/yellow snot. So we are doing another round of stronger antibiotics and if that doesn't work, bloodwork/labs. I'm worried!
Married July 2014 DD born June 2016 Second due August 2020 (team green!)
@samsonator Good luck with your meetings today. I'm sorry to hear your dog isn't well. I hope the stronger antibiotics due the trick! Poor baby. And happy birthday to him!

Oh dear @samsonator I'm sorry puppy's not feeling all better yet! (((Hugs)))
Are you actually running the meetings, or just attending? If it were me I might message the host and let them know I might have to excuse myself to help my child, so that they are aware if you get up for a minute. 🤷
My husband isn’t cut out to be around our kids 24/7. Not to mention my 2 year old has thrown us with a sudden sleep regression from hell.
I’m about to sacrifice myself to corona for a two week quarantine over here because I’m tired of refereeing my kids vs each other or my kids vs my husband.
I’m tired.
@samsonator Sorry about your pup. Hope he’s on the mend and he has a better birthday next year! And good luck with your meeting, that sounds stressful.
@tyrion_ I'm so sorry. That sounds exhausting. My 2 year old is on a nap strike since day 1 of this quarantine (its day 21 for us) and its driving me to straight up insanity.
@RedBaramid I loved Knives Out! This is a good reminder there are so many good movies available to rent. I'm kind of excited some movies are being released online since they can't have their big theater release. I want to see Emma and Never Rarely Sometimes Always.
@wednesdaygirl1019 what dresser are you looking at? I had a similar experience over the weekend... it seems so many things are out of stock. I really want the Babyletto Kiwi glider/recliner but I'm not quite ready to pull the trigger. However, it's already backordered through May so I'm starting to feel like I may need to buy it now just to ensure it's here before the baby.
Add me to the list of people shocked to find myself halfway through! I definitely have started to feel anxious about everything I want to do before he gets here compared to how much time I have to do things (not to mention a lot of errands/projects are just harder to do right now).
Thanks guys! My meetings went okay. I run the IEP meetings so my daughter gets a lot of TV during those. When I can mute during meetings I don't run I have her play in her playroom. She hates playing alone though. She loves to play, but wants one of us with her. Any tips on increasing independent play without major meltdowns? Obviously with baby coming, this is an area we need to work on.....

There's a doozy over in the HPT thread on 1st Tri. Girl dunked her test in the toilet and saw a line on the test the next day and is asking if she could be pregnant.
Is this a thing? Testing in the toilet after you go? I feel like the only time I've heard of this is some YouTube couple where the husband tested with his wife's pee in the toilet and then surprised her by telling her she's pregnant. And then they supposedly had a miscarriage, but it all may have been a scam for the views and to go viral.
I don't get the logic? As I posted in the thread, the only explanation I can think is "MUST USE FMU TO TEST. NO OTHER PEE WILL DO," so she tested with toilet water when she forgot to take the test before going. But, seriously, the point of FMU is to have the most concentration of HCG and diluting it with toilet water completely defeats that. I don't get how you could think diluted FMU is better than 2nd or 7th pee.
@maelove Nap strikes are the worst. I hope it ends soon.
@coldlife I've been on this site long enough to have seen some real crazy stuff, including dipping a test in the toilet. No matter how many times I see it I still will never understand how people lack some real common sense.
Well, it was only a matter of time, (we recently started to have DD sleeping in her own room overnight, which means she's on a mini Montessori style floor bed for now), but night four, and she woke up on the floor, in the middle of her play area! 🤣
I heard her wake and stirring in the middle of the night, but not crying at all, so I let her work it out, and sure enough -- poor thing didn't make it back onto the bed lol But we were all waking up around 7:15 this morning, so I'll take it as a win!
@coldlife yea this site has had some pretty crazy peeps on here throughout the years. MY question to her though would be why go through the trouble of posting when you could just take another dang test THE CORRECT WAY?! I remember learning in my first BMB about the epic catfish threads where girls faked their pregnancies, etc. Does anyone else remember those??
@maelove I've heard the horror stories but don't remember experiencing it. My last BMB was too much drama and side-eye so I didn't stick around for long. When were the catfish BMBs?
@maelove I just asked my June 17 group if anyone remembered that. One of the ladies in my group got the money back by tracking down the husband!!! Craziness.

No way! I lurked in June '17 because that's when I had D1. I never joined any of the groups (dirty lurker who never posted!), but I do remember, months after the board died, people came back and spilled the beans on what went down.
I just have a flat policy of never giving money to anyone I don't personally know IRL. FFC? If you're giving money to a stranger over the internet, I don't have a lot of sympathy if you get scammed.
@Kgrgreen@tyrion_ I think July 14 that was the epic one upon a brief search. Just google catfish on the bump if you are ever bored or want to procrastinate haha
@coldlife That was a whole other one! The June 17 one was crazy, too. We still periodically check her FB and she’s always asking for money and posting money collections for herself. I never gave either because she seemed whack from the jump.
Ahhhhh yes. Ive procrastinated long enough and found the threads. May 2014 had one referred to as "glider gate" and July 2014 had the epic catfish. I think it might be against the bump policy for me to link the threads. Moral of the story always be careful what you post on the internet and don't ever give strangers money.
One of my college friends and roommates who I adore posted an April fools pregnancy announcement (I’m almost positive she said she’s due Jan ‘21 which is impossible if she got a Bfp she’d be due in December, I know because dd1 was December and I got my bfp april 2). I’m so disappointed in her.
@rivercitynik it's the Emma Regency dresser from Million Dollar Baby. It matches the crib that I have sitting in my garage. I reeeeeally hope it comes back in stock soon. Shopping for baby has been very helpful in curbing my anxiety and also giving me something to do during the day.
Does anyone else have a garden? It is finally nice enough here to get into the dirt, and I am really looking forward to planting some spring crops this year.
We have a little space for it! @wednesdaygirl1019 but it's not an ideal set up, and we rent, so DH is loathe to do too much permanent... I was thinking it might be fun to do more container stuff this year, in addition to our herbs. What do you have planned???
We have in the past. We never asked with this rental, so probably not. I'd like to though!
Positive news, if anyone has been waiting for the best Shutterfly deal for photobooks, it's going on right now! Thanks to being stuck at home, I've been catching up, and I've just been waiting for the right deal (the best AFAIK is 40% off the book plus free extra pages). If y'all know a better deal, let me know!
I was may 17 and remember the June 17 catfish well.
If you all want a good laugh search butt baby. It was a ttgp thread that was hilarious. I’ve been on here since 2015 so I get feeling like forever @tyrion 🤦♀️

@wednesdaygirl1019 We have a garden. Our tomatoes (cherry and regular sized) come back up every year for the 10 years we've been here so never need to replant them. We've had success with eggplant, a few peppers, and basil. Oh I think cucumbers and zucchini too. We tried string beans and brussel sprouts but our bunny (the bunny that lives in our yard) ate them before we could What are you thinking of growing?

ETA: by third page, I mean the third page of the thread, not the third page of the board.
ETA: second and third, just went back and looked.
Guys, if I have any more kids and you see me around here tell me to find a new hobby 🤪
I’ve been here too long, jeez. Does that make me lame?!
wow! I genuinely cannot even believe people like that exist.
