Upcoming appointments: 32 week appointment April 7th and I have to call and set up my growth ultrasound for around then too. Because of my extra lobe on my placenta they want to make sure he is growing at the right rate.
How are you feeling? Slightly panicked. Knowing my family wont get to meet him right away is killing me. Physically other than achy I'm good. So heart burn but not too bad with meds. And because I'm home I'm trying to squeeze in nap which has been super helpful!
Raves/Rants: Annoyed with myself that we dragged our feet on listing this house. So we decided to stay and I'm going to pour myself into doing his room since his brother's was already done at this point.
Questions: Anyone start planning your hospital bag yet? I brought too much last time, trying to decide what to bring this time.
GTKY: What do you do that is just for you? Read, crochet, nap.

How are you feeling? Not great, I caught a stomach bug on Friday and though I am better, still not feeling 100%. I'm exhausted and baby keeps getting up in my ribs.
Raves/Rants: Balancing WFH and my DS has been challenging. He's in kinder and its just near impossible to try and educate him and work productively at the same time. On top of already not giving work my all cause I'm pregnant and uncomfortable and exhausted.
But it has been nice getting to see him so much, and on an impulse I ordered a swingset for the backyard. His birthday party next month is now cancelled and who knows if summer camp will still be on so I'm hoping this will help.
Questions: Anyone else feeling baby in their ribs at night? Can we do anything to help that? It only seems to happen at night.
GTKY: What do you do that is just for you? Knitting, Binging my shows.
@ErikandAfton I haven't started the bag yet. But I think I brought too much last time too.
Baby is the size of a(n): No flipping clue. Big enough to hit cervix and ribs simultaneously.
Upcoming appointments: Trying to get a midwife appointment set up, but with her schedule we usually plan them 1-2 days go advance. I'm supposed to have a 32 week appointment with my doctor in 3 weeks, but considering he only monitors exactly what midwife is, I'll likely postpone that unless midwife sees something concerning or my tests from last week come back concerning. We're rampant with infection here and most people are being treated at the hospital my doctor works at. They're getting low on masks and other ppe.
How are you feeling? As long as I don't move, not terrible. Rough if I don't drink enough water, which is hard to do with both kids literally drinking out of my cup whenever I pick it up. It's constantly empty and hard to fill. But pelvis pain, rib pain, and now some mild foot swelling if I stay up more than 30 min.
Raves/Rants: Rave-ready made built in excuses to sit around and do too much screen time. Rant-the other three people and two dogs confined in the house are grating on my ears. My oldest is used to being out of the house 4 hours per day. And both kids are used to getting some outside time everyday but it snowed again and it's too cold for me to just SIT outside when none of my winter gear fits.
Questions: Trying to figure out what we're going to do if my mom can't get here from out of state for baby's arrival. Because I'm pretty sure that at day 3-5 postpartum, depending on what day of the week baby arrives, I won't be ready to handle newborn, 20 month old, and 4 year old by myself while still recovering while keeping kids mostly away from my husband while he works from home...
GTKY: What do you do that is just for you? Lol, so so so little. I read before bed. I take breaks during my day to immerse myself in social media mostly to have a few minutes of adult conversation and stop my all-day-long narration of my day to the children.

How are you feeling? I feel like I haven't been gaining enough weight. Hoping fundal height eases my worries a little.
Raves/Rants: I'm too tired and pulled in too many directions. Working from home full time while watching my 15 month old full time with state lock down is insane. I don't get enough sleep or rest. There's so much to do and not enough hours in the day.
Questions: anyone have linea nigra for one pregnancy and not another? Seems odd I still don't have it yet.
GTKY: What do you do that is just for you? Hahahaha hahaha. Nothing. I don't have that luxury. I sleep about 6 hours a day and that's about all I do for myself during these crazy times.
Upcoming appointment: I had my appointment with the specialist about my gestational diabetes today and I have my 28 week appointment with my OB tomorrow. Wouldn’t have had to have the appointment tomorrow but I was in a panic today and my blood pressure was elevated so now my OB wants to check me just to be sure. I’ve been taking my blood pressures since I got home and they’ve all been fine. I’m just terribly stressed out.
How are you feeling?: tired. Incredibly anxious, terrified and depressed. I don’t know anymore.
Rants/raves: I’ve got too much on my mind to narrow it down and put into words
Questions: anyone else having a virtual baby shower? That’s what my mom and my sister are throwing together for me now. I’m selfishly disappointed that I won’t get to experience the whole baby shower process since this is my first and only child. I know I have a lot to be thankful for because baby girl is healthy, but it’s getting harder to see the light these days.
GTKY: I love to play the Sims 4. Lol You can judge me if you want to, but it takes my mind off everything else for a little while.
@sheshe3386 I loved the Sims! If I was chasing a toddler, I’d totally be on there! I hope you’re able to reconcile the baby shower 😭 we played some games on Zoom with friends last night-maybe you’ll be able to zoom call everyone for a game and presents?
@runwmusic this WFH thing is great except what are supposed to do about childcare? It’s just not feasible-I’m so stressed it’s hard to get anything done!
@ErikandAfton im trying to throw myself into remodeling too 😊 except I can’t keep running to the store for supplies...
EDD/weeks+days: June 12

Baby is the size of a(n): ?
Upcoming appointments: not til April 15th! Passed my one hour glucose this time around and they wanted to continue spacing out appointments-minimizing exposure is more important than extra monitoring at this stage I guess.
How are you feeling? So achy. Everything hurts and my belly feels like it’s already stretched really tight for only 28weeks. I’m already the size I was at the end with my daughter. My weight gain isn’t hat different either so idk. Second babies I guess but it’s a little disheartening and, sadly, I’m kind of glad I don’t have to go out in public much because I’m finding it hard to feel pretty in any of my clothes that fit me right now 😬 so not the point. And so not a priority but it is a relief to not have to be trying to look professional.
Raves/Rants: Just tired. Tired of being teacher and mom all the time. It’s making me OCD about my house too and I’m not like that. But everything is gettin coloroxed a lot more than normal. Which is good and bad but mostly takes more time than I really should be spending on it. No one is coming here and my husband is careful when he gets home so I need to be realistic.
Questions: anyone else’s belly skin feeling tight? I remember itchy last time before my stretch marks but this is a little different.
GTKY: What do you do that is just for you? I take an hour before bed every night to read. Every. Single. Night. It’s so important to me and it’s important to making me fall asleep too. I’m only reading fluff right now but I look forward to it every night!
Married: 12/19/15
BFP: 9/4/17 EDD: 5/16/18 DD born 5/10/18 Postpartum Complications
Upcoming appointments: a week from tomorrow - glucose test, blood work and normal appt
How are you feeling? Stressed. Worried, anxious.
Raves/Rants: with everything else going on right now I barely pay attention to the “annoying” pregnancy symptoms - heartburn, hips, etc. I honestly forget I’m pregnant sometimes.
Questions:
GTKY: What do you do that is just for you? I read like @alli392! That’s about all these days, hoping to get back into running eventually after this baby comes along.
Baby is the size of a(n): Kale. That's a weird one!
Upcoming appointments: OB appt and glucose test on Wednesday.
How are you feeling? Stressed out and super emotional. I am so worried about my family and their health. I'm trying to stop worrying about things I can't change. I also am limiting my news intake. It just makes me cry and stress out more.
Raves/Rants: I keep getting heartburn from water. How is that even possible?
Questions: Nothing I can think of.
GTKY: What do you do that is just for you? Lately not a lot, but I did download the Marco Polo app and my friends and I have all been sending video messages back and forth throughout the day. It's nice to be able to feel connected when we're all having to stay away from each other.
Upcoming appointments: I go next Tuesday for the rhogam shot and then every couple of weeks after that until mid-May when I start weekly appointments.
How are you feeling? I feel pretty good. This quarantine stuff has me spending more time exercising and cleaning, so I have to keep from overdoing it or my pelvis punishes me the next day. The extra walking has been great though.
Raves/Rants: I start working from home tomorrow and am worried about maintaining my sanity over the next several weeks. On the bright side, I am thankful for all of the extra time I’ll get with my son before he starts having to share me with baby sister.
Like most of you, I’m anxious about what the continued spread of COVID-19 means for me and my family. Can we stay healthy? What will my birth experience be like this time around? How long will it take for our economy to recover? But I must say I feel blessed that this isn’t my first pregnancy. I am so sad that you FTM’s aren’t getting the full experience due to canceled showers and added anxiety at each appointment. The anticipation of third trimester was such an exciting time. I pray that this settles by June so your memories of giving birth and bringing home baby aren’t overshadowed by coronavirus.
Questions: It’s just occurred to me that I’ll be hauling around an infant in 100+ heat...Texas summers can be brutal. The rear vents in my Jeep Grand Cherokee are on the back side of the console and basically worthless, so curious if any of you ladies have a good solution for keeping baby cool. My sister had some hose contraption (a Noggle maybe?) but wasn’t overly impressed with it.
GTKY: What do you do that is just for you? Sometimes after my son goes to bed, my husband will go out to his shop/man cave and I’ll get an hour or two to myself to watch my trash TV...The Bachelor, Real Housewives of (insert city here), etc. I consider it fast food for the brain, and I love every minute of it!
@runwmusic Actually yeah, I had a well defined linea negra with both my previous kids way before now. and none really now. I will say that by third trimester with both the previous kids I had gotten a metric crap ton more sun, so maybe that's related?
@kjack86 Hm. I mean electric start is super helpful to cool car off originally, but maybe a battery operated stroller fan if you'll be in car more than 15 ish min. And also I had a receiving blanket closed into car windows in rear for my first baby in florida/summer to keep sun off car seat and baby. I will say when we bought new car for second kid, I made sure it had overhead tents over second and third row-I can point them directly at head of front or rear facing kid now!

How are you feeling? Tired. Achey. Overwhelmed. I try to start each day in a positive place, and I end each day tired down to my bones. Not loving the uncertainty about everything right now, but also trying not to get repetitively dragged down by it.
Raves/Rants: Halfway through my GD protocol! Yay! I wish this felt like more of a victory, but all of my personal complaints feel really petty (to me) in the light of the bigger situation. Rant -- WTF to my house. Two major appliance mutinies, DH's computer (needed for WFH) starting a death rattle, and it's more than I have bandwidth for right now. Rave-ish -- we seem to be staying at least a half step ahead of disaster, despite the overwhelm, so go Team!
Questions: Has anyone had cool ideas for alternative ways to celebrate their new arrivals? Since baby showers are out, and who knows if we'll be back from social distancing around sip-and-see time, I'm curious to see how you're planning to make the best of a truly crappy situation. We're hoping for a sip-and-see, family bbq style, sometime in the summer. But my SIL is due with her first in October and after getting off to such a crummy start I 100% don't want to steal any limelight or baby enthusiasm from her.
GTKY: What do you do that is just for you? My only personal time now is my GD walks, so I guess I do that for me.
@kyrwyn my family has four babies due within 8 weeks of each other, only one FTM. She rescheduled her shower for end of May but tbh I am not hopeful she will get to have it. Her husbands diaper party is planned for then too. I swear when this is over I’m having the biggest party for all the lost things with everyone I know. I want to celebrate every lost birthday, every canceled baby and wedding shower, every holiday and all the babies. Bring all the kids and the families and the friends!
@kyrwyn I was supposed to have a sprinkle for this baby, it's my 2nd but it was a long journey with years of IF and loss. But that has been canceled now. Also my DS was supposed to have his first real kid birthday party next month, which has also been canceled. So my plan is to have a combo meet the baby/late celebration for my son sometime over summer. I'm thinking like backyard BBQ type thing. I feel so awful for canceling my sons birthday party, I just bought him one of those big swingset playground type things for the yard. Since of course going to the playground right now is also out.
Upcoming appointments: Did my glucose test (1 hr) yesterday and have mt normal follow up April 6th
How are you feeling? Same as everyone else it seems. Back aches and difficulty sleeping through the night as he likes to nestle into my rib cage. Allergy season is also starting up... bleh.
Raves/Rants: Rave - My normal life working from home has limited interactions with people so I have been able to continue on with some sense of normalcy with added precautions. Rant - This heartburn is killer. Back on Nexium and hoping that takes care of it.
Questions: None right now.
GTKY: What do you do that is just for you? I am a big reader including trashy romance novels and I binge watch the drama while my husband is at work (Greys, Station 19, etc.). Time with my horse is also big for me. Luckily it has changed but I haven't had to give it up.

@hanshotfirst77 I'm especially sorry that you don't get to fully celebrate your rainbow. We struggled for years with primary infertility, and then another year with secondary infertility and feeling like the happy milestones have been diminished or overrun by the current situation is definitely something I struggle with. I can only hope that we'll all have a lot to celebrate, and large tribes to celebrate with, when we come out the other side of this mess.
@chaos-and-coffee A great big delayed everything party sounds awesome. My BFF's 40th was last weekend. I told him he stays 39 until we can reschedule. 😂 He's okay with that compromise. DH's bday is this weekend and I'm not even sure I'll be able to get the pantry staples I need to make him his requested pie (he's not a cake person).
My DS is a November birthday. Last year, his bday was low key and managed to get rained out (in southern California no less). I was first tri exhausted and fresh out of finishing grad school. I kind of feel bad that I didn't do more, now that things are weird. If things are better and we can afford it, I kind of want to rent him a bouncy house and let him and his toddler squad buddies go nuts after all this crazy cooped up nonsense. (Heck... Maybe my BFF needs a bouncy house for his belated 40 😂)
