Baby is the size of a(n): peach, I think.
Upcoming appointments: March 16
How are you feeling? Tired, mild heartburn, nausea if I don't eat often enough. Overall pretty good!
Raves/Rants: Rave- I'm almost positive that I'm feeling some movement or at least just feeling something different. It's giving me peace of mind while I patiently wait for my next appointment.
Questions: none!
GTKY: What trait or characteristic of yours do you hope your child(ren) inherits? What trait do you hope they DON’T inherit?
I hope my kids get my even temper and flexibility. I hope they do not get my funny nose or awkward feet.
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Blue
Baby is the size of a(n): Avocado
Upcoming appointments: 3/5 but I think I'll need to reschedule
How are you feeling? Much better than first tri
Raves/Rants: I'm really, really ready for summer vacation!
Questions: Not right now
GTKY: What trait or characteristic of yours do you hope your child(ren) inherits? What trait do you hope they DON’T inherit? I'd love for this baby to have blue eyes. Everyone on my side has blue eyes but my oldest has brown like my husband and my youngest will end up with green/gray.
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Blue
Baby is the size of a(n): cucumber
Upcoming appointments: March 19, AS!!!
How are you feeling? My freaking tailbone/hips hurt!!!
Raves/Rants: Rant: I feel like my tailbone/hips are giving up on me and I feel like it it too soon and this never happened with my daughter. We had gymnastics on Saturday and then a play date and my tailbone/hips bothered me, but it was not bad. Monday, I was up and moving from 7:30 am to about 5ish pm. I got my daughter ready and took her to school, went grocery shopping, but all of the food away, made lunch and dinner for the week, and was doing laundry and cleaning during all of this. I do not know the last time I have felt so much pain in my life. I hurt so bad that I could not even fall asleep, but then again, sleeping on my hips does not help at all. I can only imagine how worst this will get the further along I move into the pregnancy. And I'm still feeling some of it today as well.
Questions: None
GTKY: What trait or characteristic of yours do you hope your child(ren) inherits? What trait do you hope they DON’T inherit? This is a great question and I don't know how to answer it. My daughter has a lot of great traits from my husband, all of his good ones
EDD/weeks+days: 16+2
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Blue
Baby is the size of a(n): Avocado
Upcoming appointments: March 23rd for Anatomy scan
How are you feeling? I'm sore right now. If you saw the randoms thread, you saw that I had a very scary episode of contractions and menstrual cramping. Im dealing with the after effects. I feel like I've done a thousand crunches.
Raves/Rants: Rave: I got to see baby yesterday and despite that fact that he was uncooperative for a bit, it was so great to know he was ok and that there were no cervical changes.
Questions:
GTKY: What trait or characteristic of yours do you hope your child(ren) inherits? What trait do you hope they DON’T inherit? I want them to get my independence and take no crap attitude. I could do without them having my overly smart mouth. It's not looking promising with ds1, tho. He has sarcastic comments on lock and that mouth of his gets him in trouble daily, lol.
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Green
Baby is the size of a(n): Peach
Upcoming appointments: Friday... I wasn't supposed to have another appointment until 3/20, but it's probably no secret if you remember my other posts that my anxiety is through the roof, so my midwife said I could come in for a quick check. I had been having some (mild) cramping in my abdomen and (i'm not really sure what to call it, it's not quite pressure but just more of an awareness) sensation in my cervix... she said it sounds normal but I could come in, so in I will go
How are you feeling? pretty normal
Raves/Rants: This isn't really a rant or a rave, just something funny. I've been buying those Outshine Fruit popsicles so frequently that I got a coupon when I checked out for $1 of any two. So next time I go, I buy two. I get another coupon...this time for $1 of any three. So when I finish those two, I will buy 3. I'm interested to see if they just keep increasing the number of boxes... I may have a freezer full of popsicles in a few weeks, who knows.
Questions:
GTKY: What trait or characteristic of yours do you hope your child(ren) inherits? What trait do you hope they DON’T inherit? I keep saying I hope the baby has my brains and my husbands caring/thoughtful personality... a trait I hope they don't get from me would be my general awkwardness
fitandnerdy that is pretty funny.
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Finding out
Baby is the size of a(n): Avocado
Upcoming appointments: Today I see the gastro to discuss the elevated liver enzymes and likely struggling gallbladder. April 1st we have our big 20 week appointment with anatomy scan!
How are you feeling?: Queasy... but given some of the bloating I feel in my upper abdomen, I think it's my gallbladder. Other than that I am just an emotional life wire. I'm weepy, then I get angry... and we are already very quickly approaching hangry as a regularly experienced emotion.
Raves/Rants: RAVE: I just got the call for the results of my first 24 hour urine (meant to establish a baseline and to start the monitoring given my sad history) and it came back BEAUTIFUL! They are very happy with my levels, I fall just above what is considered normal for a non-pregnant person, but still well within what is considered normal for a pregnant person. This is good news considering the moderate concern with my liver enzymes. Of course we are still before 20 weeks right now, and I'm sure at my 20 week appointment I'll get handed another jug to fill but I'm happy to fill it and stay on top of this situation.
Questions: No questions today, but happy March to all of your ladies, may spring be right around your corners!
GTKY: What trait or characteristic of yours do you hope your child(ren) inherits? What trait do you hope they DON’T inherit? I really hope this child isn't cursed with my weird toes, we laugh a little about DD, she is a clone of MH's sisters (which I don't mind at all, those girls are BEAUTIFUL) but she got my awkward unicorn toes. Also, I hope our child gets my common sense/people skills. My husband is extremely intelligent... but not so very wise. Know what I mean?
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: PINK
Baby is the size of a(n): Artichoke
Upcoming appointments: 3/16 first US (I already had 2 by this time with D! I can't wait!)
How are you feeling? I've been on such an emotional rollercoaster. Just not feeling myself lately. Today seems to be a good day.
Raves/Rants: Rave-I've been craving salads which I'm very happy about lol. Rant-I'm also still craving gummy candy and just got my girl scout cookies delivered so everytime I think I'm having a good eat day I ruin it by the end of the night. I mentioned to my coworker how I can't stop eating gummy candy and she responded with "Usually when I'm craving something unhealthy I try to look at what I'm missing from my diet-it's usually a deficiency from something else". Yes, that's certainly a thing that can happen with nutritional deficiencies but in this case I'm pregnant and I'm going to eat my dang gummy bears. I was SO annoyed. (Note, I am also a dietitian whereas she is not even in the health/nutrition field..leave me alone!)
Questions:
GTKY: What trait or characteristic of yours do you hope your child(ren) inherits? What trait do you hope they DON’T inherit? I hope she inherits H's athleticism. Poor D definitely inherited my lack-there-of lol.
I was a very good student/respectful kid but a terribly naughty teen. Hoping both my girls don't follow my lead there. I was also very theatr

Upcoming appointments: 3/24 and 4/1
How are you feeling? So big. Everything hurts. Headaches 24/7 and Hungry all the time
Raves/Rants: If I could stop having to pee every 20 minutes that would be great. Also why are all the maternity stores closing? What are first time moms going to do when they have to get their first maternity clothes and have no idea on sizing? What if we need something that day?
Questions: Nope
GTKY: What trait or characteristic of yours do you hope your child(ren) inherits? What trait do you hope they DON’T inherit? Hope-My complexion, never had a zit. Don't- my eyesight or my husbands big nose
I keep forgetting how far behind I am in the month and so exciting for you girls getting your AS scans soon!!!

Baby is the size of a(n): peach/maple leaf
Upcoming appointments: March 12 is the first appt with the new midwife practice
How are you feeling? Much better than last week. Still super tired with a stuffy nose, ugh. Nausea creeps in sometimes. I'm just so ready for this energy I keep hearing about to kick in. I get tailbone pain here and there too... Isn't it too early for that?!
Raves/Rants: Heading down the shore this weekend to my ILs house by the beach. There is a biergarten that has igloos on their rooftop and we have one reserved with some of my family. This is the first year I won't be partaking so am the DD... I'm looking forward to eating a big pretzel and potato pancakes
Questions: When has everyone started feeling movements? I just can't wait to feel her moving around. If I think about it then think I feel something, but it's totally my imagination.
GTKY: What trait or characteristic of yours do you hope your child(ren) inherits? What trait do you hope they DON’T inherit? Good question!! I hope our daughter gets my curly hair and clear skin. Hubs has had skin issues his entire life. I hope she gets his knowledge and problem solving skills and does not get my stubbornness or non-existent chin.

Upcoming appointments: March 17th for A/S!
How are you feeling? 2nd day in a row of headaches. Not sure if I should contribute to the weather or pregnancy? I've been waking up multiple times a night and getting inconsistent sleep but also going to bed at 8PM every night. I think I'm tensing up my stomach when I sleep? I've been waking up in the morning feeling like I have been and crampy. When I had knee surgery I did the same thing but really not sure why.
Raves/Rants: Rant - H and I got in a big fight last night and I do not like him rn. I am pouting and emotional and he definitely needs to leave me alone... or bring chocolate home with him
Questions: Is anyone having sugar swings? I feel like I've had a few hypoglycemia episodes and plan on talking to my Dr about it. My dad is hypo, pre-pregnancy I'd had occasional episodes. From everything I've read it's common with GD if you're being treated with insulin. At least that's my interpretation of what they say. Anyone else?
GTKY: What trait or characteristic of yours do you hope your child(ren) inherits?
- My caring heart, athleticism, and eyes
What trait do you hope they DON’T inherit?
- My red hair and stubbornness (see above rant lol)

Upcoming appointments: March 6th for 3D scan and March 16th for AS
How are you feeling? Nausea if I don't eat, super tired, but also suffering from a cold.
Raves/Rants: Rant: Work sucks, I can't wait for mat leave to start, and thinking about whether or not I will even come back after the year is up.
Questions:
GTKY: What trait or characteristic of yours do you hope your child(ren) inherits? What trait do you hope they DON’T inherit? Do: My determination for sure, DD definitely has that already. Don't: my hair, I love it now, but hated the unruly curls all through my childhood and teens.
Upcoming appointments: Anatomy scan and next appointment coming up next week!
How are you feeling? Fine.
Rave, we're not sick this week. We'll see how long that lasts. Rant, I'm tired of cold and ready for spring!
GTKY: What trait or characteristic of yours do you hope your child(ren) inherits? What trait do you hope they DON’T inherit?
Hmm, I hope they think before they speak more than I do. I'm ok, but could be better! I hope, they get my strength and can do anything attitude.
@ziggymama06, I don't feel movements very early. I'm 18 and a half weeks, and I didn't feel any movements that I was sure were movements until five or six days ago. I would say I started feeling stuff that may or may not have been movement around 14 weeks. It's been the same with all my pregnancies. I'm never sure until around this point.

Baby is the size of a(n): Avocado
Upcoming appointments: AS at the end of the month
How are you feeling? Good my cold/ chough and rip pain are starting to subside.
Raves/Rants: Raves - We've had some lovely weather the last two days and it's starting to feel like spring.
GTKY: What trait or characteristic of yours do you hope your child(ren) inherits? What trait do you hope they DON’T inherit? I hope this baby inherits my dark curly hair, my DS is fair like DH. I'm Dyslexic so I hope neither of my childen inherits that from me.
@ziggymama06 With my first pregancy I felt movement at 15w and this time round it was 13w, both times I've had an posterior placenta.
@krkgreen I had a friend who never fully developed GD and had no family history of diabetes have several sugar swings in her pregnancy. I would bring it up to your doctor so they can monitor you closely though. My friend never developed full on GD, but the end result was just a few extra blood tests and a few non-stress tests as the pregnancy went on. Momma and baby are both happy and healthy now.

How are you feeling? Pretty good, a little bloated and tired, none of my clothes are comfortable. Got some maternity pants and wow so much more comfortable.
Raves/Rants: Going to Hawaii next Friday! Excited and also a little bit worried about this virus since I live in WA and am a nurse, there is really no info about indications for pregnant women.
GTKY: What trait or characteristic of yours do you hope your child(ren) inherits? What trait do you hope they DON’T inherit?
I hope that he inherits my blue eyes (hubby has hazel eyes), and my level-headed sensibility. I hope he doesn't inherit my husband's asthma or allergies (hubby is allergic to everything under the sun).

Baby is the size of a(n): artichoke
Upcoming appointments: March 16 for AS
How are you feeling? I’m feeling the best I’ve felt this pregnancy -woohoo! I’m getting occasional sciatic pain but it comes and goes. I need to pee all the time too.
Raves/Rants: Raves: I don’t think I shared that in the midst of all the drama at work I got the promotion I was up for! It feels a little weird to be celebrating that given that so many people lost their jobs, but it’s the first promotion I’ve ever gotten and it feels really good to be seen as someone contributing a lot of value at work.
Questions: not today.
GTKY: What trait or characteristic of yours do you hope your child(ren) inherits? What trait do you hope they DON’T inherit? DO: I hope my kiddos inherit my sense of humor and persistence in working towards goals. Don’t: I have depressive tendencies and sometimes focus more on the negative than the positive. I hope my children will orient more towards optimism and positivity.
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Blue

How are you feeling? Overall pretty good! The first trimester felt like it crept by but now I feel surprised at how far along I am. Still have low back pain and heartburn, and dealing with some of the same cramping that others have mentioned (some of it feels like more close to the descriptions I've read of Braxton Hicks than period cramps, but seems very early for that), which can definitely be a bit unsettling, but trying to remind myself that it's likely normal.
Raves/Rants: Raves: Thanks to everyone who encouraged me to get a secondhand halo bassinet... I bought one over the weekend for $50 and ended up having a fun work connection to the family I bought it from (and now I hope we become friends haha). Other rave is that I'm at the office in DC this week (I work remotely from central VA), and it's really fun to see co-workers who have been really sweet and excited for me. There are around 11 of us within the org who are all due spring/summer, so it's nice to swap stories and talk about how we are all doing. Rant: My rant will probably be the same for the next three weeks... my largest event of the year is in a few weeks and things will be pretty intense and stressful to them. Luckily I have a great team so we'll get through it together, but ready to be on the other side.
Questions: My belly and breasts have been super itchy lately...is anyone using a product the love? (Not super concerned about stretch marks, just looking for something super moisturizing) I'm using Burt's Bees Mama Bee body oil and it's good, but I think I want to try something else when it runs out.
GTKY: What trait or characteristic of yours do you hope your child(ren) inherits? What trait do you hope they DON’T inherit? DO: I hope he is curious about the world (and the people in it) and has a sense of adventure. His dad is really smart, gentle, and patient, so I hope he is those things too. Don’t: I can be really stubborn (that seems to be a theme around here haha!), so hoping I don't pass that on.
@rivercitynik Good luck with your big event coming up! That's so awesome that you have coworkers pg now too!! I've been using Earth Mama Organics Belly Butter on my entire body and it seems to moisturize pretty well. I had super itchy breasts a few weeks ago and now I just lather up after my shower and I'm good. There's no real scent to it which takes some getting used to. It's a bit pricey but all the ingredients are organic. I'm almost out of it and a friend of mine gave me the Burt's Bees as a gift which I will try but not really looking forward to lol.

How are you feeling? Not great start to my day. I didn't have breakfast as soon as I should've and ended up with my head in the toilet gagging up all of the nothing that was in my stomach. Broken blood vessels in my face and, oh yeh, I peed myself enough that my incontinence liner did nothing and I had to change my clothes!
Otherwise, my energy is much better than it was a couple of months ago and I don't feel like I am going to be sick every minute (as long as I snack all day).
Raves/Rants: Rant- see above this morning- It's one thing to have MS but it's another to PEE yourself everytime you are sick.
Raves: I am appreciating the sun setting later and later each day and looking forward to Daylight Savings!
Questions: none today!
GTKY: What trait or characteristic of yours do you hope your child(ren) inherits? I hope my kids inherit DH's sense of adventure and what I think is my empathy for others.

How are you feeling? Fabulous
Raves/Rants: Rave - I find myself craving healthy food options (finally). Small portions and less junk. (Minus the caramel sundae I had last night 😅) I also decided to test out another food delivery company called Chefs Plate - 3 pre planned meals a week - we’ve eaten two so far and they’ve been sooo yummy! I also like to order them because it give me the chance to cook something new and have that recipe on hand to recreate! Rant - waking up throughout the night is really becoming the norm and I am literally tired of it.
Questions: I’ve been thinking about signing up for a prenatal parenting class, as a FTM - worth it or skip it? It covers absolutely everything, along with hands on.
GTKY: What trait or characteristic of yours do you hope your child(ren) inherits? What trait do you hope they DON’T inherit?
I would hope my child would inherit my sense of humour and kindness and MH fearlessness. I REALLY hope my child doesn’t inherit the temper tantrums I had as a toddler .. I was that kid in the grocery store on the floor kicking and screaming while my parents just acted as onlookers who thought “where is that girls parents” lol 🤞🏼
@radiohd18 same with daylight savings!! I walked outside at 6 and couldn't believe it was still so light. Spring is on the way!
@gomillis congrats on the promotion...what a good feeling!

How are you feeling? Awesome
Raves/Rants: Rave - I got a compliment from one of the pre-kindergarten teachers I work with and it makes me feel so good about my work. I still suffer from Imposter Syndrome 6 years into being a licensed SLP, so it's nice to hear that seasoned teachers think I'm excellent at my job. Rant - I continue to wake up at 4AM despite taking Unisom most nights. What gives??? I'm so tired of being tired!
Questions: Along the same lines as @charhar0820, if you were to sign up for a FTM parenting/birth course at your hospital or birth center, would you rather do one that was a full 8 hour day, or 1-2 hour classes spread out over multiple weeks? Keep in mind you live 30 minutes from the location of the course.
GTKY: What trait or characteristic of yours do you hope your child(ren) inherits? What trait do you hope they DON’T inherit?
Gosh I hope they inherit our love of travel and exploration. I hope they don't inherit my husband's terrible stomach/food sensitivities or my stubbornness.
@wednesdaygirl1019 If it were me, I would do the 8 hour class in one day!

Questions:
GTKY: What trait or characteristic of yours do you hope your child(ren) inherits? What trait do you hope they DON’T inherit?
I hope they inherit my empathy and compassion. I don't hope they inherit my extreme shyness, although my daughter already did.

How are you feeling? Good. Finally exercising consistently, and it's so helpful for my mental game.
Raves/Rants: I don't know that I've mentioned here before, but DH is on crutches for the next 6 weeks and it officially sucks. My chore list and childcare responsibilities have effectively doubled, and it pisses me off so much to spend my evening picking up the kitchen, folding laundry, etc. etc. while he "loiters" on the couch. I get it. But it's frustrating as hell.
Questions: N/A
GTKY: What trait or characteristic of yours do you hope your child(ren) inherits? What trait do you hope they DON’T inherit? I have a major sweet tooth that DH does not share, and I hope the kids take after me so I can have little partners in crime. Unlike many of you, I have terrible skin, so hoping they can avoid that particular hell.

Upcoming appointments: Just had one Tuesday, so next one will be in a month. Need to get my 2nd tri maternal serum bloodwork done next week.
How are you feeling: pregnancy symptom-wise I’m ok. Just tired. But I have a cold and it’s a bad one. I’m miserable!
Raves/Rants: I’m team green and my midwife told em the other day she’ll write on my A/S requisition for them to not even record the fetal sex. I’m so excited by that because one of my fears was thy one of the midwives in the practice would slip up and tell me the sex during one of my appointments haha. There are 6 in the practice and we are supposed to meet with them all so it’s not like they’d all know or remember that I didn’t want to find out the sex. What a relief. Rant: I wish my 11 month old would stop waking up at 4:45/5am for good. As far as I’m concerned that is not yet morning time!!! I’m so tired.
Questions: Nothing comes to mind!
GTKY: What trait or characteristic of yours do you hope your child(ren) inherits? What trait do you hope they DON’T inherit? Hmm hope they inherit my blue eyes (we are 2 for 2 right now!) but not my short temper

3. Dill pickle
4. had to cancel my appt this week due to the flu. Rescheduled for next wed
5. rants the flu has kicked my butt! I haven’t seen dd in 2 days! Raves: Dh has been amazing keeping me quarantined and keeping up with it all. I am feeling better this morning
6. I hope she gets our determination. I would be ok if she doesn’t get my full peace keeper gene, speaking up for yourself is good!

@emiliadkay Oh no! I'm sorry YH is on crutches and all the chores are falling on you. That is super frustrating... I think he can still fold laundry while sitting on the couch, right? Hope he heals quickly and you keep you sanity!

How are you feeling? I would say better than first tri for sure....but I just can't kick this nausea and fatigue. I feel good on some days but man o man this is hard.
Raves/Rants: Rants: see above re: persistent nausea/vomiting. Raves: I have achieved my pre-pregnancy weight. I feel pretty good about that. I lost 10lbs during first tri which I know is fine but feels good to be gaining.
Questions: None
GTKY: What trait or characteristic of yours do you hope your child(ren) inherits? What trait do you hope they DON’T inherit? This is a good question.....I hope they inherit a good combo of my book smart and DHs street smarts. I hope they do not inherit my need to appease/gain validation from others (enneagram type 3 anyone??).
@gomillis congrats on the promotion!
@ziggymama06 with DD I didnt feel movement until 21 weeks but my placenta was anterior. This time around I would say around 15 weeks but it has not been consistent and its very subtle.
And as for birthing class for those who asked...I would prefer to get it over and done with. Ours was multiple classes and it just dragged on. Overall I didn't really find it too helpful but that might be because I work in medicine, I am not really sure. DH also was unable to take it seriously which was annoying haha.
