This thread is for sharing all your fun design ideas for your baby's space, whether it's a corner of the living room or master, his/her own nursery, or a shared room with siblings. Find inspiration and motivation. Share your furniture choices and/or transformations, color schemes, craft projects, and more. I feel like I spent a lot of time and energy find the best gear for baby in terms of safety, practicality, price, necessity, etc., but sometimes it's more fun to focus on projects like this. Share your nesting successes even if it's something like a before and after of your closet cleaning weekend, and let's celebrate it here.
Re: Nursery Design
Changing table was used in DD's room for storage until last summer, when she went through a Superman phase and started jumping off of it in an attempt to fly
Above the crib will be hot air balloon longstitch pictures. My mom made these two when she was pregnant with my brother in the early 80s. They hung in our bedroom, then various places through our houses, and eventually in the bathroom. He and I would sit and stare at them and they're just this nostalgic piece of childhood for us. They got destroyed during a move a few years ago, but I found the kits on eBay and my mom agreed to make them again. They're cheesy but they're colorful and happy and I love them.
@allie456 you are ahead of me! What color did you decide for your walls?

It doesn’t photograph well during the day because of the sun. We still have to do some wall decorating, get our changing pad, and a few other things. We have blankets covering the chair and a towel covering the swing because our cats have decided this is their new favorite room in the house!
@rachelg777 in the end I got rid of our queen bed because it felt too cramped in there, but I did keep a twin XL bed which can work for guests on occasion and can be baby’s bed once she outgrows the crib. Did you make your mobiles?
@bender29 I hear ya on the cats. They seem to love the room even more now that the stuff in it gets shuffled around on a regular basis.
You ladies have accomplished a lot and should be proud! Your baby spaces look great!
@pirateduck it's a cream color called Vanilla Ice Cream. I wanted something that could be neutral enough to transition to a non-nursery without repainting if we wound up selling the house or something.
These are the curtains we bought https://www.babybedding.com/painted-elephants-drape-panel
It comes with a whole set (crib sheets, crib skirts, etc) but the set was just too expensive to buy all the pieces. The curtains by themselves I thought we could splurge on though! I'm really excited for them to get here. I thought we might then do a green rug.

Ours is still empty but I'm very excited to do something with it now!

These are pictures from 2012 when I did the nursery for our 1st, but it looks the same now for #4. It took so much time and energy that I won't be able to paint over it when this last baby is done with it.

If we do stay where we are at DD and new baby will be sharing a room and I don't know how I will set that up at all, even though baby will likely be in our room until they are at least a year old anyhow. MH thinks that if we do move we will likely end up in a 1 bedroom with both kids in our room because that seems to be the only apartments that are coming up for rent currently and I really don't know how any of that will work. It will be pretty temporary though as we will only be there for 2 or 3 years max.
I’m a mean mom already and we did not paint our greige (grey beige) walls because I’m sure our little guy will want to paint his walls a million times before he’s 18 (I know I did, and my mom let me) and I’m just not going to paint them for a baby who’s going to grow into a kid who wants neon orange walls (not happening!)
