@m6agua and @shamrocandroll I believe I requested to join the group correctly. I didn't know how to go about it from the phone, but from desktop it looked simple. I'm hoping I did it correctly.

Alright folks, here we go. We've started out by adding 10ish names that we've all agreed we recognize. We'll now start going through this thread name-by-name and make sure members recognize each person before sending out an invite. Please check your inboxes for invites over the next few days! This will take a little while to get through. TB can be annoying about joining a PG from mobile, so I would recommend checking from a computer to accept the invite, if at all possible. Once you're in the group, you should be able to use mobile/the app with fewer issues.

Also, if you know of a regular who hasn't yet posted in this thread to say they want in, please tag them in here or somehow let them know to post here if they want in. It'll get too crazy if we don't keep this all in one place.

Thanks for setting it up and our fearless leaders for getting it going! I can get to my inbox, see the invite, and get to the list of private groups from the app (can’t even find my inbox on mobile browser) but won’t let me click on it. Hopefully I can hop on a computer tonight to formally join! ☺️

@bender29, yeah... you are not the only one having that issue! Hopefully everyone can pop onto a computer at some point to click on their invitations! Sorry this part is a bit of a pain in the butt!

Everyone check inboxes if you have access to a computer! Invites are rolling out slowly but surely. I can only send out a couple at a time, or else the spam blocker kicks in and freezes my account for a couple of minutes, but I'm making good progress!

On mobile, from the main page, bottom right, click "more," then click "community," then the first option under All Forums is "My Inbox" so if you have an invite to the group it should be here, or the last option under All Forums is "Groups" and you can find the PG there.

@pirateduck Did you join from mobile? Most of the complaints I'm hearing is people can get to the invitation in their inbox, but can't then get into the group after that.

Also on mobile I can click on our group under "My Groups" but I cannot click on our group under "New Groups"

@pirateduck Yeah, once you join on a desktop, you can access it on mobile, but it doesn't seem anyone has been able to successfully join on mobile yet.

If anyone is able to join via mobile/app, and can provide more detail on how you were able to, please let us know!

If you're on a mobile browser, try to open the link to the groups page in a new window. (I didn't do it this way, but on desktop that's what I had to do)

Edit: just kidding I found it. Still doesn’t work for me, but I’ll hop on a computer tonight!

@bender29 if you are viewing this post now on mobile hit the back arrow (top left) until you are out of May 2020. You will be on a screen that lists All Forums and My Inbox is directly under that heading.

@pirateduck That route doesn't work for me in the app. It takes me back to TB home page. I can only get to my inbox on mobile by clicking the tiny "Inbox" link at the top of a thread of forum.

Those on the mobile app, maybe try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. That is what I had to do in order for the "create a group" button to show up. Maybe it will work for joining too?

I logged in from the computer for the first time and wow does this look so much better.

Trying to figure it out and may switch completely off the app, was able to see the group from the drop down menu on the right side that says "choose another board" and clicking on private groups

I had to login on a desktop to join, then reinstall the app for the group to show as one of "my groups" on my phone.

I also had to login to a desktop, I could *see* the group on mobile, but there was no join button.

I was also finally able to upload a profile picture, which has never worked on mobile!

@mamaj1220 There should be an invite in your inbox, but I don't think you'll have a separate notification.

I have an invite but I’ve tried every way I know on my phone and tablet, so I guess I’ll have to hunt down my seldom used laptop this week.

Yup. Couldn’t find a way to join using the app/mobile. I did with the computer and it was super easy. Go to your inbox and then click the link to join. Thanks @m6agua and @shamrocandroll!

@catem07 I tried on mobile browser and was unsuccessful. It was basically the same as using the app. I had to do a desktop login.

I'd like to be added too!

The app has not been working at all for me for about a week- it just gives me the white screen of death. Mobile goes super slow and then freezes. This is the first time I have been able to get to my computer to actually log on!

Maybe then you should be able to see your invite in your inbox? You may also have to re-login too.
