We've had a pretty robust set of recommendations for baby-related deals, coupons, freebies, etc, in the Jan randoms thread. I thought it would be nice to have a thread where we could collect these and share new ones as our pregnancies progress and our littles grow. I am not an extreme couponer by any stretch of the imagination, but I do stock up on diapers whenever Target's buy $100 get $30 (highest I've ever seen) comes around.

My Amazon welcome box should be here early Feb, and I'll come back and share what's in it with you all.

@kyrwyn I actually just got my amazon box the other day. It had some really nice stuff. Pic below in spoiler. I’m still waiting on the one from Babylist.

For Canada so far I signed up for Thyme Maternity and got a pack of pampers diapers, wipes, and advent bottle and lots of coupons. I signed up for huggies online and got a pretty decent size box of huggies and wipes plus some coupons. Will try a few others as well. For sure will get the Amazon and babies R us box.

I just got my baby box from babylist. I don't have a pic of it, but it had some good stuff in it, a bunch of coupons, samples of diapers, pacifiers, nursing pads, lotion, wipes, bottle and a travel changing pad. You just have to make a registry on babylist.com and pay the shipping.

I got my Amazon box yesterday, and it's basically the same as @hanshotfirst77 's. I was hoping for the zebra swaddle (Z for Zachary!) but I got a cute palm fronds one instead. My onesie is striped in primary colors. All in all, I'm happy to just get a free onesie and swaddle.

Sneakiness: I put a couple things on my registry that I wanted to get for a friend's new baby, marked them as private so no one would think I was requesting them for myself, and then bought them.

It counted for my baby box and towards meeting the minimum for the diaper discount.

@kyrwyn I got my amazon box last week and got the same onesie. My swaddle is gray chevron which is okay - DS needs a new daycare blanket so I think he might get that one!

@hanshotfirst77 It's totally okay! I didn't even realize I would want a zebra swaddle until I saw it in your picture. Haha. When I was pregnant with DS1, the big thing was the hedgehog swaddle, and I did score that one. DS1 liked it so much that he went as a hedgie for his Halloween. Maybe this baby will be a palm tree! Who knows?

The crib I want is at Buy Buy Baby and just curious if I should buy now with a 20% off coupon or if there’s a potential for a bigger discount. I haven’t shopped there a ton, but it seems like 20% off is always available but not much else in the way of sales and coupons.

@Kjack85 I bought crib, dresser, changing topper at buy buy baby with the 20% off coupon and it was actually already on sale and they let me use 20% coupons for each item. I'd say buy it now. I mean sometimes certain sets are on sale but they pretty much always let you use the 20% off. At the time I was told it would take 6-8 weeks for delivery which I was fine with cause this was in January. But really it only took them like 3 weeks.

@Kjack85 I'd go ahead and buy it when you're ready. I haven't found Buy Buy Baby to have a reliable sale schedule the way, say, Target does. Usually whatever I'm interested in won't go on sale until after I needed it. But the 20% off coupons are pretty reliable. Get your crib when you have space to store or build it, but if a sale comes up between now and then jump on it!

@brose1117 An amazon box is a free box that comes with a onsie,a swaddle blanket, a bottle, and a few samples/coupons. Go on amazon, create a registry. Buy something $10 or more from said registry and once it delivers you should be able to add the amazon baby box to the cart with a special gift card for it. Once you go to amazon.com and hit baby registry it helps you with the steps along with what could be in the box.

Huggies has a free diaper promo. If you google it, the link will come up! They sent me coupons, a free pack of diapers, and wipes.

@kyrwyn I had the same problem last pregnancy. I just kept checking and eventually I got one. It was super irritating though.

A tip for Target: you don’t actually need to start a registry. Just go to the service desk and tell them you started one online and they will give you a bag. 😃

@chaos-and-coffee of course! From left to right is Grove, Amazon, Target, Walmart, Noobie, and BabyList.

I had to pay shipping on a few but it seems like it was worth it. The Grove one was the only complicated one because you had yo make a new account and the freebies came with an order so I just got a few things that I normally order from them anyway and used my husband's email. If you do it and either have an account already or dont want to use them just remember to go back and cancel your account.

Also Kids on 45th is closing and has some close out deals on their site. Orders must be placed by 8 March. I'm sad to see them go, but ordered some closeout sale clothes for my DS1 in the next two sizes and some gap-filling clothes for this LO at $2/item (including shipping).

@chaos-and-coffee We got a 3T box for DS1 last Fall and it had tags-on-new Disney (Star Wars), Children's Place, Old Navy and a few more brands I can't remember. My phone is being a jerk so I had to screencapture the picture I took 6 months ago, but here's what it looked like. At not-closeout prices, this was <$40 (shipped). Everything was in better condition than our local second-hand store.

I don't know if they'll honor it at closeout, but this referral code should get you $10 off as a new customer: JBXBLKDP .

I made a quick profile for this June 2020 baby so I could gapfill some NB and 3m stuff.

Halo and Aden+anais is on sale on amazon today. I love the a+a blankets. They’re light enough for summer babies, and even though DS hated being swaddled he has always loved snuggling them! We have 3, one at daycare, one at home and an extra, and I’m considering buying more because they’re adorable even though we don’t really *need* more blankets.

I added stuff to an Amazon registry and ordered a few things off of it. So I was so excited that I was finally eligible for my Amazon box! So last night I go to select it. In Canada it seems you can pick from 1 of two small toys and that’s all you get. No nice box like on Amazon.com

I was so excited to get this box... I wonder why it’s so different in Canada?

@spvern I was so disappointed by that too! And the stupid site wouldn’t even let me choose the toy. So I had to contact amazon, order the toy, and then they refunded my money once I’d received it.

I was so annoyed and was planning on doing an American registry and going across the border to pick up the welcome box but obviously that’s not an option now lol.
