Re: Check-in w/o Feb. 17th

  • Bachelor Nation Crew... would it be fun to create a thread next week to chat about the show? Especially now that we are close to the end? I don't know if off-topic threads like that are cool with the group, so totally understand if no one is interested.

@roo_baby sometimes I ice roll my face when I have a headache  :D

@gomillis I read a little mantra in Birth without Fear and it was something like "this isn't the way I planned for it to happen, but it's still my baby's birthday and I'm going to celebrate that". I love that framing.

@babytimeagain I was at the mall a few days ago browsing baby stuff and saw that Old Navy had some cute items and they are pretty cheap.  Kohls is usually good for baby clothes too and I used to always shop their for friends' kids (they always have coupons!).  For classic pieces, Gap had really nice stuff and the material is higher quality, but not cheap.  The Children's Place also had some cute stuff, but more loud pieces for boys if I recall.  You can always check Macy's as they have a pretty large baby dept.  Oh, and Carter's (which part of their line is sold at Kohls), but they have freestanding stores.  Can you tell I've begun baby shopping already?!   :D    And definitely do not feel bad or obligated to give away any of YD stuff.  I'm not expecting any hand me downs from anyone and wouldn't give anything away unless I was 1000% done.. and even then only certain pieces.

ETA... I didn't realize there was another page!
@lachnessmomster I love Ali Wong... I didn't realize she has a book.  How is it?  Also, interested in the Fourth Trimester - how are you liking it?

  • @babytimeagain Yes! It is so hard to find just normal cute boy clothes! My son is 2.5 and I still have trouble finding nice outfits. I get a lot from target because they have a wide variety and I like to mix and match and layer his outfits. Plus target has the Cat and Jack brand which includes sensory friendly clothes and reinforced knees
  • @rivercitynik I’d participate in a bachelor thread these last few weeks!

@lachnessmomster I love Ali Wong and I’m working my way through her book too. So funny.

@babytimeagain I second baby gap for good basics and you can find great sales - never buy anything full price there!

  • @lachnessmomster I love other cultures. America has it all wrong. I'm going to see if this book is on audible and download it.

  • @ziggymama06 STOP! Omg. That is amazing, and you have to post a picture of your outfit! I'm sure her show is PHENOMENAL live!
  • @ziggymama06@MrsWheeler and @tara4910 thank you for the recommendations!

@blackgirlmagic thank you for the solidarity. I didn’t realize how attached I was until I thought about giving them away! I wasn’t sentimental until having my daughter.
  • @babytimeagain I was never sentimental either except for my daughters items. I am quick to through something away. I'm pretty sure my husband would be a hoarder if it was not for me and having him actually think about things and if he truly needs to keep it. But for me it only seems to be related to her infant items.
