Re: February Symptoms Thread

  • Agree on the no nausea being possible. I had none with my daughter and my mom had none with three pregnancies (two boys and a girl).

    6+6

Super freaky hormonal/bitchy- like I don’t even want to be around myself. My poor SO hates my guts.
    Insomnia & fatigue hardcore
    Sore boobs
    Bloating
Nausea- though it’s mild and no vomiting
Craving tart/sour. Lemonade, grapefruit (which I usually hate)

I forgot how rough the first tri can be.
Are we the same person? Because all of these are me. I have to keep reminding MH that my hormones are insane right now, but he still gets butthurt and makes stupid comments like, "Sorry I said anything, geez!" and "Whoa, guess I won't mention it again!" Like, dude, you ask me 87 questions per hour, it's exhausting being the one to make all the decisions all the time when I'm feeling like I have a 24/7 hangover that I can't nap away because sleep eludes me.

  • I’m in a fog today. I feel like I can’t fully wake up.
  • Sore boobs.
Extremely tired (I've been in bed by 9 every day the past 2 weeks..)
    Slight Nausea, but no vomiting.
    Bloating.
    Craving salad and citrus.
  • Mostly just exhausted. I had some nausea yesterday and today. Weirdly, my boobs don’t hurt much, but they are already bigger. With my son, they were so sore so this is different for me.
  • @NME44 every.time.i.wake.up
  • 7w 5 days today. Mild nausea started yesterday so I stuffed up with ginger candies.
My boobs have been soore since BFP. I started wearing a bra at home as I don't want anything rubbing my nipples 😂
Constantly having cramps... Some are more uncomfortable than others but not severe and no spotting or blod so hope it's normal.
  • Anyone having gastric distress? I am 5 weeks. I had not pooped in a few days. Today at work I was a bit distended in the belly due to trapped gas. I went home and laid on left side to loosen things up and now I have diarrhea but honestly feel so much better. This is my 3rd pregnancy. 1st went to term. 2nd I suffered midterm loss. I have experienced spotting very lightly last couple days. But this gastric issue caught me off guard. My first pregnancy was so easy that I guess I assumed they all could be.
  • @blt4820 stupid constipated over here. But it’s normal for things to start moving slower so you body can take in as much nutrients are it can. My dr allows colace, see if you can take something for relief!

Will do if it gets too intolerable. Those lovely prenatals are really good at binding too!
  • +1 for GI distress. I used to be like clockwork, every morning around 9am, but now it's more like every other day and I hate it. On my last BMB, one of the posters suggested eating 3-4 Red Vines to loosen things up. I tried that and it didn't work for me, but figured I'd mention it here in case it miraculously works for others.

  • If you haven't already, I can't recommend prune juice enough to get things moving again @blt4820
@NME44 so much brain fog, I've been on the struggle train hard this week 😩
  • OMG I just remembered the brain fog! Yesterday, I went to put my jeans on over my yoga pants, and then after I made dinner (blueberry pancakes, FTW!) I left the electric skillet on and MH was like, "Umm, babe, you trying to burn the house down?" I was just so damn hungry.

  • Brain fog is real. So far week 7 is kicking my ass. I'm nauseous in the morning and then at night, I can't stay up past 9, I sleep like a log but wake up at 5 to pee, and then dreams are just so. Freaking.Weird.
@dolewhipper so far no huge GI issues, I'm actually going quite a bit but I've also been stressed this week due to so many things on my plate right now.

    6 weeks exactly today.
Mild nausea started a few days ago, worse at night (almost wish it was worse to help me feel like I have more symptoms!)
A little tired but not too bad, sense of smell getting stronger and sore boobs.

wide ass awake at 4 am sharp for like almost two weeks now. I don’t even know how that’s possible when I’m only 5 weeks tomorrow.
Oh momma, I feel you. I am 4w1d and have been up at 4:30 all week. At first I thought it was anxiety about testing but I had my blood work done and it came back for sure positive so I figured I would sleep easy. NOPE. I worked up this am and did some gentle yoga!
  • @greenie1981 I'm with you... I'm happy when my nausea is bad because I feel calmer about this little baby when I feel freaking terrible!
  • @limekilnroad Yeah I don’t know what gives. It’s my witching hour for sure this time. I hope it goes away and doesn’t linger all 9 months. Although maybe it’s a good thing because as soon as this school year is over I’m going to start teaching VIP kid at 4 am every day.

My brain fog is soooo bad. I’m mixing up my words like I’ve had a stroke or something.

Today I kept smelling That acidic vomit smell everywhere. My classroom, my car, the cafeteria, my kitchen. I didn’t throw up though so I have no clue where the smell is coming from.
  • 5+3

    -sore boobs
    -very bloated/pressure in lower abdomen
-all day nausea and some vomiting
-waking up at 3am and being unable to sleep

Surprisingly I haven’t had super sensitive smell and I’m hoping it doesn’t start.
  • @morethanamama omg yes... the dreams. I had so many weird dream. With my first i had sex dreams my first trimester almost every night. I have a feeling it is going to happen again this time.
  • 5w3d and no symptoms other than light cramping this morning. I felt great through my first pregnancy so I really don't believe I'll be lucky enough to get another good one. We'll see!
  • Started having weird GI issues since yesterday. Hope diarrhea won't last for long as it's not fun at all...
I think I started having a brain fog as well, but I'm trying not to admit it to my husband for now :)
  • Any STMs more achy/crampy this time around? I'm trying to tell myself that it's just my body responding sooner this time or something. It's not a sharp cramp or anything, just a dull ache, almost like before my period. My symptoms are so mild compared to my last pregnancy that I'm all in my head. I only have breast tenderness and insomnia, but I was throwing up constantly at this point last time.
  • @carrotsandpeas3 I had that for a few days about a week ago.

I sneezed this morning and had what felt like
severe round ligament pain. I don’t remember that happening so early the last two times.
I also have a cold on top of the MS so that’s great

  • @carrotsandpeas3, I’ll be a 4th time mom, and this is my 5th pregnancy. I’m definitely feeling a lot more achy and crampy even though I’m not even 5 weeks. I’m chalking it up to my uterus knowing what to do earlier.

Also, as a side note, be prepared for more painful contractions post birth than with your first. I’m not saying this in a scare tactic kind of way; it’s just something that I was unprepared for at the time so just wanting to give others a heads up.
  • @carrotsandpeas3 yes very much. I think our body recognizes what’s to do faster. I was really crampy (like not pain, just pressure) a week ago and a bit today.
  • @profmcgonagall, oh shoot, rlp. I forgot about that too. I think I’m having that also. This whole pregnancy is so weird so far.
  • Thanks guys! I figured it was fine, but I'm just always on edge in first tri and it's so hard not to compare to my prior pregnancy.

@NME44 ahhh I have heard that. I'm slightly terrified. I kind of figure the first few weeks are a shit show no matter what, so why not throw in something to make it harder to counterbalance my confidence this time around.   :D
  • @carrotsandpeas3, I get it. I’m always low key worried everything is gonna fall apart. I’ve found it doesn’t help any, though 😂
  • @NME44 if only the logic of "it doesn't help any" made me less of a crazy person. I keep having the most bizarre pregnancy dreams where bad or weird things happen and it's not helping! I'm generally a very logical person so I kind of hate who this part of the pregnancy makes me become. 😝
  • 5+1.

    Sore boobs.
BLOAT. I swear my body says "positive pregnancy test?  Let's look 5 months pregnant!"
    Tired.  So very tired.
Intermittent super-nose.  Last night boy smelled like tobacco and I wanted to barf.
Weird dreams. Some of the sexy variety, some of the post-apocalyptic variety.
    Gas. So very much gas.
    Worst hemorrhoids I've ever had.
    Current pregnancy -
First BFP on 1/4/22.  Due date 9/13/22.

Four prior losses, no living children - 1 first trimester miscarriage, 1 blighted ovum, 1 chemical, and one extreme premature live birth daughter who died at 15 days old.

  • @JLaVO888 I swear I keep smelling poop everywhere and like gym locker room. It’s so freaking frustrating. I’m about to have my friend come over to tell me if I’m crazy.

@carrotsandpeas3 yup. Every time after the first it feels like you can just feel things stretching. 😣

@NME44 boo. Does it get progressively worse each time? ((Lie to me, it’s okay))

  • @carrotsandpeas3 I have cramped so much I ended up going to my OB to make sure everything was fine.  It is but the crsmps/tightness is so much stronger than with my first.

    Current symptoms:
All day nausea but I haven't barfed.
Sensitivity to smell of perfumes and cooking meats 🤢
    Insomnia all night
    Fatigue all day
  • @mdfarmchick, I don’t remember it at all the first two times. I remember my bmb talking about it and never having any idea what they were talking about. It’s not that bad, really. I’m not actually sure if you’re referring to RLP or just the achy crampy, but the same goes for both.

Or if you’re talking about the postpartum cramping? It wasn’t worse with my 3rd than with my second. None of it is unbearable, at least for me. Just minor inconveniences.
  • I am having trouble staying warm. Feels like I'm chillier than I should be... Also, the headaches... And I never know when I have overdone it. Still working 10-12 hours a day.
  • I'm 5w 5d and I have the bloated round tummy. I'm not telling anyone yet and I don't need anyone thinking I have a beer gut. Lol this is my 3rd pregnancy, 2nd was a loss but it's like each pregnancy the body wants to puff out sooner! Lol
  • @NME44 the PP stuff. It was so much more intense after baby 2 so if baby 3 is worse I might cry 😂 The cramping during first trimester has been a little earlier and a little more intense each time for me. The RLP when I sneeze is just a load of BS 🤣
  • @mdfarmchick, I don’t remember it being worse after 3 so you may be in the clear ;)
