angel kisses or stork bites...fading?

DS has an "angel kiss" birthmark above his eye.  It doesn't look like it has faded at all since his birth.  I am just curious when will it likely fade?

Re: angel kisses or stork bites...fading?

  • My little guy's stork bite has just barely started to fade-- he is almost 3 months.  No worries-- it will go away with time :)

  • DS has them above each eye and on his forehead and they have started to slightly fade, except for the one above his right eye. It is rashy and itches him a lot and is bright red. You can see it in my siggy pic. :(

  • DS is still noticeable to me but I don't think strangers notice it- unless he's pooping or really mad then it turns dark purple :) I was told today at the dr's that it will fade but wasn't given a time zone- sorry!!!
  • Her angel kiss on her left eyelid has faded to where you can't hardly see it anymore.  Her storkbite on the back of her neck is still as red as it was the day she was born and probably won't ever fade.  I think storkbites are permanent.  Angel kisses usually fade completely within 2 years.
  • I was born with a storkbite and it went away. DD has one and it has only gotten worse (due to eczema). I hope it eventually goes away!
  • Sorry, I meant to say that I think storkbites on the back of the neck are permanent.  At least this is what our pedi told us.  It doesn't matter either way since her hair will eventually cover it. Once she grows some, that is. LOL
  • My sister has one on her forehead, right above her nose.  She's 9 years old now and although it is barely noticeable, it is still there.
  • stork bites are perm. i still have mine 30 years later.

  • Drew is almost months and they just now look like they are starting to fade.
