I just read that ginger takes up to 4 days of constant intake to start working for nausea and upset stomach. So keep on with the ginger candies and ginger teas, ladies!
So far, at 6+6 I have -insomnia, waking up 4-6x a night -nausea 24/7 -GI trouble (more than usual) -food aversions (ever changing) -all the fatigue -bloating and a more recent, which I was hoping to not have to worry about since it didn’t show itself with the other symptoms, smelling all the smells.
-sore boobs -all the smells -nausea...More in the last 2 days. Haven’t actually thrown up yet but did hug the toilet once thinking it was coming (then promptly told my husband to clean the toilet lol) -constipated -fatigue -bloating -pregnancy brain -round ligament pain
4 weeks today. Yesterday I had aching abdomen. Today just a headache and I’m pretty moody. Oh, and super smell. I look forward to some more tangible signs and symptoms.
-sore abdomen (growing pains). why is this not on more ‘typical symptom lists’ ?!? - sore boobs -mood swings, but not daily. Sorry husband! - Tired. took my first nap today -tiny stomach- I either eat half of what I used to in a sitting or get nauseous. I haven’t thrown up though - last but not least, GI issues including constipation, bloating, and gas
4w2d - starting to have mild nausea - hungry, but nothing sounds appetizing - super tired, took a nap at 10am and then slept in the car on the drive home from out of town! - lightheaded - GI issues
5 weeks today So far my nausea and sore breasts seem to be every other week, so today they're hitting me full force after a week of not feeling anything. -Little more emotional, mostly sadness. -all my appetite has disappeared -my sense of smell is on steroids, I swear there was a gas leak at work and I got upset and told everyone and they all treated me like an idiot. -higher body temperature and getting overheated easily. -some bloating but pretty much the same amount I get before my period.
I am 4 weeks today! --tender breasts --SO MUCH BLOATING --a little bit of low back soreness occasionally -- abdominal cramping, the cramping definitely freaks me out every once and a while but I am trying to remind myself it is normal
-nausea in the am, though usually mild -exhaustion - cannot make it past 9pm most nights! Don't mention naps because I have a LO already so those are a thing of the past, lol -cravings are intense and non negotiable. Today it was sushi, and even though I had a fridge full of food, I had to go get some -I am ravenous but then regret big meals. I need to remember to just eat less and more often -super smell -pregnancy brain -some breakouts, definitely more than last pregnancy
- nauseous the whole day, mild relief when I eat but then it comes back - exhausted -cold most of the time -stomach pains -digestion has slowed way down -crabby, is this a symptom? I'm embracing it.
- haven't felt nauseous in a few days and then this morning I waited too long to eat after waking and ran out of bed to grab some cereal - major fatigue - face is sooo dry and red and itchy. Trying to drink tons of water to hydrate internally instead of just trying to fight it from the outside - cold all the time - emotions/mood swings - tender nips, but only notice if they're shoved in a bra too long or I touch them - ETA forgot super smell!
Last night I woke up at 4am to pee😑 last pregnancy I didn't have to do that until 37 weeks! Had insane dreams and woke up drenched. The heater was off so what the heck??
Takes way longer than normal to fall asleep. Tired all day long. Any physical activity has me tired out after 30 min! First feelings of queasiness the past couple days. Maybe a slight tinge of sore boobs. Tightness in lower abdomen. Smells are a lot stronger.
Even though this is my 5th pregnancy, symptoms are still super mild.
6 weeks and 3 days. My nausea is beyond control and I'm already throwing up. Don't know if throwing up this early is normal. Super bloated. I've been trying various foods but I've noticed I can only eat small bits at a time so I bought SOUPS! cuz they go down faster than I can realize I'm full! It still takes quite a few sittings and a lot of reheating before the bowl is empty though. I HATE ginger but I've heard ots the best remedy. The pre-natal pills make me want to throw up more so I take them before bed but I can't seem to sleep right away. This first trimester is truely proving itself to be a nightmare for a first time mom like me xD Does anyone know better nausea rememdies? I've tried toast and water, soups, chips, pickles, dry cereal, etc.
@rescuepups totally normal to be throwing up by 6 weeks. I was by 5ish with my DD. I toughed it out until my first appointment at 9 weeks last time and the OB was like "why didn't you call us?!" The B6/unisom that @ProfessorMcGonagall mentioned worked well for me.
6+4 and here comes the nausea! I have also felt extremely congested, especially at night and in the morning. I'm definitely getting that hungover feeling when I wake up. I can't stay up past 8pm and I wake up at least twice a night to pee and have a hard time getting back to sleep.
It's been so hard trying to keep the pregnancy a secret from coworkers now as I need to pee every 15 minutes and snack constantly or else I feel dizzy/ nauseous. Someone is bound to figure it out any day now.
I notice a lot of people mentioning waking up with a “hangover feeling”. This happened to me a week ago or so and I think it was correlated with my water intake and being dehydrated. I’ve tried to stay more hydrated since then and haven’t had that feeling again, maybe up your water intake during the day.
@rescuepups I third the half a unisom + 25-50mg of b6. Also some things to think about: -Ginger. but you have to take it multiple times through the day and it can take a few days for it to REALLY start working well. I have ginger chews I eat throughout the day and I also drink ginger tea or add ginger to my chai tea. -Peppermint. Get some altoids. -Club soda + bitters. Just a few dashes. This is actually my go to for a hangover. -Constantly snack. Dont let you stomach get empty for too long. Keep some crackers or pretzels by your bed, when you get up have a couple. -BRAT diet foods. Bananas, rice, apples, toast. Easy to digest and bland. -Watch out for high acid foods and drinks. I can't drink my daily coffee right now, but I can do chai tea.
Nausea at week 5. I swear every pregnancy it comes earlier and earlier. And hotdogs are always an aversion and that’s what the school cafeteria made today....hundreds of boiled hotdogs.
Super freaky hormonal/bitchy- like I don’t even want to be around myself. My poor SO hates my guts.
Insomnia & fatigue hardcore Sore boobs Bloating Nausea- though it’s mild and no vomiting Craving tart/sour. Lemonade, grapefruit (which I usually hate)
@ProfessorMcGonagall@carrotsandpeas3@dolewhipper All these suggestions sound like amazing options that I'm enthusiastic to try out. When I woke up today I had crazy nausea, had some reeces puff cereal and some alfredo later in the day and now my nausea is gone for the first time in 10+ days. Its really weird and a slight bit concerning, I haven't done anything different from any other day. Is this normal as well? For something so strong to just almost nearly entirely go away so quickly?
My fatigue has been awful this week. I’d rather be tired than severely nauseous like my last pregnancy so I’m trying not to complain but it’s rough with a 3yo. Working out helped me feel energized in past pregnancies but I feel worse after now, just totally depleted before noon most days.
@t@tropicgal2020 you might luck out! My aunt and 2 friends were never nauseous. My aunt tried to tell me that you won’t get nauseous if you are having a boy but that’s crap.

Totally possible. I’ve had at most mild nausea when I drink cold water on an empty stomach for 3 pregnancies now. Nothing else. 1 was a boy and two were girls.
