I wasn't sure if I should post this because I think for a couple of weeks we've really only been the active group doing updates. But I like hearing from everyone. 😁
EDD/weeks+days: 5/17 /26+2
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Pink!
Baby is the size of a(n): Bunch of kale...
Upcoming appointments: 2/24 for a regular checkup.
How are you feeling? Heartburn, tired, hips hurt when I sit or lay funny. Last night DH had to support me as I could barely walk from snuggling with DD back to the couch. One side of my hips likes to get irked and not function for awhile.
Raves/Rants: Counting down to a school vacation next week. I think I'll make a list of baby organization projects that I should try to accomplish before it gets too late.
Questions: Nope.
GTKY: Any Valentine's plans? DH gets the award for most romantic. He makes an elaborate dinner and dessert. This weekend he helped DD throw me a Valentine's breakfast. I've got ideas but they also feel so lame in comparison.
Upcoming appointments: March 2 - for the glucose test and 28w appt
How are you feeling? feeling pretty okay - I have been trying really hard to limit carrying DS too much and it's definitely helping - the constant pain I was having in my upper abdomen is completely gone!
Raves/Rants: I just really want to find a house already! So far we have made 4 offers and none have panned out. I'm tired and frustrated and I really want to start getting things ready for baby, but I'm started to feel pretty defeated. We are lucky in that we live in my parents' finished basement and have plenty of room - so I think pretty soon we are going to call it quits until the fall and try again.
GTKY: Any Valentine's plans? They aren't necessarily valentine's day plans - but MH and I are going on a weekend trip to the mountains with my brother and his gf - leaving Friday and coming back Monday. MH's birthday is Sunday, so it's more a birthday trip that happens to also involve valentines day. Everyone is going to be snowboarding Saturday, so I'm looking forward to having the place to myself and doing some self-care/pampering and reading. It will be the longest trip we have taken without DS (he's staying at my parents' house) so I'm slightly nervous, but I know he will have fun and get extra spoiled while we are gone.
@chewie5990 sorry about the house hunting but your weekend plans sound like fun! @jrouge12 that is so sweet that he got DD involved too!
EDD/weeks+days: 5/24 25+1
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Blue
Baby is the size of a(n): the shaving cream can from Jurassic Park
Upcoming appointments: Wednesday from Friday's snow day and was discharged from PT as of today!
How are you feeling? I am alright, I need to ask them for help with the heartburn on Wednesday, it is waking me up and I have been sleeping in the recliner which isn't the most comfrotable.
Raves/Rants: Right now I am annoyed with DF. He was home all day with DS (who wasn't feeling good and had a fever and tummy ache and thus slept most of the day) and I come home to a sink full of dishes and a pile of laundry, like really guy.
On the bright side my new table is here!
Questions:
GTKY: Any Valentine's plans? Nope, we aren't big on Valentine's Day and never have been, so usually it just means we get the half price chocolate the next day haha.
Upcoming appointments: 2/27 for 28 week and GD screen
How are you feeling? Not too bad
Raves/Rants: It's so hard to get up off the floor when I'm playing with DD
Questions: I don't think I have any?
GTKY: Any Valentine's plans? DH brought flowers home last night. We don't do anything special, but some friends are coming to visit on Saturday which will be fun.
jrouge12 sorry about the body aches! And your DH sounds cute with Valentine's Day @chewie5990 I'm with you on the lifting. My daughter is none too thrilled about it but I just cannot carry her as much now. Good luck with the house hunting. mamaj1220 I hope you get some help with the heartburn.
DD #1: April 2017 DD #2: May 2020 Baby #3: EDD May 2023; MC October 2022
@mamaj1220, I know how you feel. When DH is home in the morning, I wonder what he does. Sometimes he cleans, does dishes and laundry. Some days he plays video games. Everyone should do their part!
@chewie5990, I limit carrying DD, she is now 34 pounds. Sometimes it is sad that she wants to be picked up, but I encourage her to sit with me on the couch and to hug instead. We are getting big and it can become dangerous if we lose balance when we are carrying them, especially up and down the stairs.
@catem07, my DH brought flowers home on Sunday! It was totally unexpected and so sweet. It’s so nice when they do cute things out of the ordinary. Do you think it means we don’t get flowers for V-day?
EDD/weeks+days: May 25/ 25w2d
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Pink!
Baby is the size of a(n): cauliflower
Upcoming appointments: 2/26 at 27 weeks for appt. and glucose screen
How are you feeling?: I feel large already, belly is heavy and it is getting harder to get up from the couch. How do we still have ~15 weeks?!!
Raves/Rants: Excited for the 3-day weekend!!! Woohoo! No big plans (see below GTKY), maybe some home re-org. Things at work are pretty slow because of the holiday/school winter break, I can’t decide if it’s good or bad, the days feel long.
Questions: STMs+, Anyone feel like they should be doing something to prepare but you can’t figure out what??? It’s too soon to wash all of the baby clothes (plan on doing it in April). I don’t have anything to buy..started some registries for the free stuff, but don’t really need much (replacement pump parts, nipples etc) and could buy it all in a weekend in the next 2 months. Am I missing something? I felt so on top of things with my first pregnancy, but there was a lot to do, this time I feel like I should be doing something now...
GTKY: Any Valentine's plans? We were planning a trip out of town, but since it is a holiday weekend, it’s pretty expensive. I plan on taking a few days off in March and we plan on going out of town during the week instead. We may just go out to eat as a family of 3.

@chewie5990 A day with my feet up to myself sounds perfectly amazing! Enjoy the trip! FX that your luck changes in your house hunt soon. But I live very close to my parents and any extra hands with a new baby are good! Especially watching the your DS.
@mamaj1220 Yay for the PT discharge! Sorry the heartburn has been so bad, hopefully they can do something for it.
@catem07 +1 for having trouble getting off the floor after playing with DD. It usually goes very slowly. I love flowers but DH just never buys them for me! I'm not complaining since he goes all out making dinner.
@queenklau I feel the same way! I'm going to try and do some reorganizing next week during vacation but there's just not that much to do. Because of our small living space we'll make some changes (like a bassinet next to my bed) that don't make sense to do right now. Most of the stuff I've done has been to give DD adjustment time like switching her out of the crib. We have everything from DD and don't need any clothes (but people keep buying them).
@queenklau omg so much yes. I feel like there's got to be things I should be doing...but then it seems too early to do anything! I located the 0-3 month clothes and put the box in an easy to get location...and I bought a few summer outfits since DS was a winter baby. DS is 4 so he's already in his own room/own bed so I we don't need to do any rearranging. At some point we do need to re organize our bedroom a little to make it more practical/comfortable for the bassinet and changing table - but that sounds like a spring break activity which is mid March. With my first pregnancy I was sooo organized - I had an excel spreadsheet with each month and the things I needed to do/buy for each month, books I wanted to read, and research I needed to do. I tried to set one up for this pregnancy..but there were so few things that it seemed pointless. I feel like with less to do/prepare it's making the time go by slower too!
I did wash my baby clothes because that's literally all I can do and I'm going a little crazy not being able to do more. Baby's room is currently our guest room, and what will be our guest room is my parents' room right now until they finish the basement. Plus DD1 is still using baby's crib (which she won't sleep in at first anyway) and baby's dresser is in my parents' storage unit. And they are in Florida until April. We need to do a lot of furniture moving and it really just doesn't make sense to do it until we can do all at once. And I want to buy things but I'm making myself wait.
DD #1: April 2017 DD #2: May 2020 Baby #3: EDD May 2023; MC October 2022
Upcoming appointments: 03/06 for gestational diabetes test. I don't know why the proper name for that is fleeting me at the moment.
How are you feeling? I CANNOT SLEEP BEDCAUSE OF THESE HIPS! I feel it was completely necessary to put that in all caps because it is getting out of control. I have to switch sides every 20 minutes to find relief. I never had that with DD.
Raves/Rants: Rant- allthough my energy had been great lately, I'm back to feeling drained because of my interrupted sleep (thanks hip pain). Rave- excited to start our birthing classes this evening. We are doing a 6 week course. Last time we did a one day crash course- I feel like I'll get a lot more out of the series.
Questions: Anyone have experience with their baby being diagnosed with a urinary tract dilation during pregnancy?
GTKY: Any Valentine's plans? We are going camping this weekend as a family. We usually just do a dinner, but have the camping itch this year and going to keep it inexpensive/easy.
@jrouge12- I feel you on the hip pain. Have any advice for relief?
Upcoming appointments: Had one last week, everything looked good, nothing official again until early March. Actually, that's not true, I have to do my GTT sometime after Sunday, but I can do it whenever. We're doing a repeat elective 3d u/s on the 16th because we didn't get good images at our first. And the 15th is the "understanding birth" class at the hospital. Weekend of baby!
How are you feeling? Uncomfortable and not sleeping well.
Raves/Rants: DH powered through and got the nursery painted this weekend! We're going to start crib assembly soon. It's kind of crazy!
Questions: None right now.
GTKY: Any Valentine's plans? We're going out to dinner on Thursday evening. We don't like crowds enough to go out on the actual day!
@louessbee, it turns out my coworker has a house in Upstate NY and she offered it for the weekend, so we will spend this weekend up there instead of March! Excited to get out of town!

@queenklau ahh upstate NY in March, you never know what you will get as far as weather goes lol but hopefully some pretty blooming! Also yes in answer to your question about feeling like you should be doing something but haven't yet. I know I should be doing more to get ready, I just need to get a plan and motivation.
@jrouge12 glad to keep our check-ins going! Sorry about the hip pain and I feel you on the heartburn. Are you doing any exercises to try and help with the hip?
@chewie5990 I'm sorry the house hunting has been so difficult. I hope it all works out soon. Your weekend trip sounds like a great break!
@mamaj1220 yay for graduating PT! I hate when MH stays home and doesn't help out with anything around the house. Come on man!
@mamaclownface camping sounds fun! Though I'm not sure I'd be sleeping comfortably in a tent. I wonder if you'll actually find it better on your hips somehow. Definitely interested to hear how the classes go.
@louessbee yay to full on nesting! Plus newly decorated rooms are just so nice to look at.
EDD/weeks+days: 5/18 26+1

Baby is the size of a(n): kale bunch
Upcoming appointments: 2/27 for glucose challenge and checkup
How are you feeling? Still good. Reflux has been worse but I don't think my food choices are helping with that. Definitely starting to feel bigger and low on space though. I felt her kick near my ribs already. I'm so short.
Raves/Rants: I love feeling and seeing the belly move all the time . In other news: our lease is signed and now it's just a matter of hiring the movers and getting packed up. It's all happening! Can't wait to be fully out of our current lease so we aren't going back and forth each weekend (that date is 3/14).
Questions: good for now
GTKY: Any Valentine's plans? Packing haha. MH got me two giant bags of sour patch watermelon gummies because I go through entire bags in one shot.
@jrouge12 Thanks for starting! I also enjoy our group check ins. I feel like I “know” you ladies fairly well. Yay for vacation next week! And a super sweet husband 😊
@chewie5990 Ugh the house hunting sounds awful! Sorry nothing is working out for you so far. Are you looking for move in ready or a fixer upper? Your weekend plans sound so fun! I hope you can enjoy it without missing your son too much
@mamaj1220 I hope the doctor gives you a good treatment plan for the heartburn. It seriously sucks. I feel you on the frustration for your DF’s lack of accomplishment while home, however I also have days when I’m home that I get nothing done and then I feel guilty for being pissed if MH is home and doesn’t do anything.
@catem07 I applaud you for still getting on the floor to play! I hope you have a great weekend with your friends
@queenklau That’s awesome that your coworker has a place you can visit this weekend! I hope it’s a perfect getaway
@mamaclownface Camping sounds like such fun! Idk if you already do this, but I found a pillow between my knees to be very helpful for my hip pain
@louessbee I hope you get great pictures at the US! I used to think the 3D ones were creepy but now that I’m pregnant, I think all the 3D pics people post in the US thread are so cute! And it makes me want to see my baby’s face too. So exciting that the nursery is coming together!!!
@lisush Woohoo for a signed lease!! Nice that you’re getting movers too! That takes some of the stress out of moving...no need to do the moving truck Tetris or have to drive the darn truck. Who thought it was ever a good idea to let regular people try to drive big ass moving trucks?!?
EDD/weeks+days: May 19, 26 weeks
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: blue
Baby is the size of a(n): Bunch of kale
Upcoming appointments: Need to do glucose test next week
How are you feeling? Great and kinda guilty for feeling good when everyone else seems to be having so many annoying symptoms
Raves/Rants: My husband made me laugh so hard I peed my pants tonight so I consider that a rave. It’s good to laugh. Rant: MH’s cousin and her wife just got another dog and named him (or maybe he was already named?) Cowboy Jack. We are planning to name our son Jack but aren’t telling anyone the name until he’s born, but now it feels like they stole our name. Part of me doesn’t care because we had our name picked long before and the other part is annoyed that people might joke that we named our kid after a dog or something.
Questions: Not that I can think of
GTKY: Any Valentine's plans? So far we’re just planning to cook up some good steaks we got for Christmas. Don’t want to spend too much money, since we just had the unexpected vet costs and we are traveling to CA next week to visit my sisters and their families
@sunshinesea22 Thanks for the tip! I actually had been sleeping with a pillow between my legs, but up until last night I had no idea I was doing it wrong. I learned the proper way during my birthing class and it made a world of a difference last night!
@lisush It is fun! I don't think my hips could handle tent sleeping right now, though haha. I should mention our version of camping is taking our camper to different parks haha.
@louessbee Yay for nursery progress! We have ours painted as well, the furniture will be the next step.
