I’m sorry to barge in but I don’t know where else to say this...

@morethanamama I’m thrilled for you that you are pregnant! I think the part you may be missing is that when you posted in the TWW that you have a 12 day LP and then continued to post on 13....14....15....16....17 DPO, it was like you were announcing your pregnancy every day. And then yes you stopped posting in the TWW but that almost made it more obvious that you were pregnant because you were still posting everywhere else. You asked where the October waiting room was and I linked it for you instead of saying any of the above, but then you still came back and posted a “don’t lose hope” story which comes off condescending when it is posted by someone who is KU.

I’m sorry that you were upset by @kpearse99’s post but if you knew her like we do, you would know that she in fact does not easily use words like “liar” and “shady”. Maybe it was an overreaction if you truly just made a typo by saying you tested at 12 dpo, but it’s hard for those of us who have been there for awhile to see people come and go so easily and seemingly take our support for granted. Maybe that makes us bitter, but TTGP has become a safe space for us and we are fiercely protective of it and the culture that was built there, even before our time.

Again I do wish you all the best and I just wanted to clarify how the past week or so has looked from our viewpoint.

@morethanamama Thank you for the clarity and explanation. It really does mean a lot. And I know it may not seem like it, because we don’t know each other that well, I actually am not the kind of person who easily goes around calling people liars and shady. I am not the kind to cause trouble or drama, in fact @kmalls, @bows22 and anyone else from TTGP can attest that I rarely even comment on the drive by Peggy threads. I like to try and keep peace with everyone and I am always welcoming and inclusive of everybody that joins TTGP, no matter how long or short their stay is.

That being said, I apologize for wording my last post the way I did. You can’t blame me, or anyone else from TTGP for having questions about your intentions. But I absolutely could have, and should have, went about it in a different way. I also apologize for my congratulations not being sincere enough. I truly and honestly am overjoyed for you getting your BFP and I wish so much that this will be your 🌈 baby. I have gone through my own CP and an early MC so I know they scary, worry, panic and all other emotions you are feeling. I am truly always happy for anyone and everyone that gets to move on. But I was so taken back by the continued posting over there from you got your BFP that I let those emotions take over, simply because I wanted an answer as to why. Why continue to participate if you already knew you were leaving. It just felt like a slap on the face and like we were being taken advantage of. I’m sorry for jumping to those conclusions but we have been burned way too many times in the past and something just wasn’t sitting right with me.

I understand your confusion and hesitation of wanting to move on but plenty of others have just not posted anywhere until they were sure what they were seeing was really real. But you should have just not posted anywhere until you were ready.

Please don’t take my initial post out on @kmalls. You can’t blame her, because she knows that it is out of my norm to call anyone out like this. So naturally she knew something felt off.

Again, I am very happy for you and I hope this is really it for you. You deserve to be able to grow your family! I hope, so much, that I will be able to join you over here after my beta test so that we may continue to get to know one another.

Hi! I’m 4w1d based on LMP. I still don’t believe it, and feel like I need a good pinch!
(I didn’t ovulate until CD16/17, so I might eventually measure a few days earlier.)

DH and I have been trying for 7 cycles and so excited to finally be here. My EDD is Oct. 14, which is two days after DH birthday. It’s kind of serendipitous, because DH’s brother had their first daughter the day after his birthday in April.

I’m in Alabama, and work at a middle school as a choir director. ❤️ This is my first pregnancy and I am equally excited and anxious.

Hi there! I was on the D17 group with my DD, now 2. I started trying for #2 in March 2019 and had a MC in May 2019. I used Walgreens brand FRER in July and got false positives (on all three in the box) so that was embarrassing getting the blood test results for that...

Saturday I decided to test with a wondfo, but all of my wondfos ended up being invalid because there were no control lines. For some reason we then decided to buy Walgreens FRER and two of three were squinter positive. The next morning the third was obviously positive, but I didn't trust them and got a real FRER that was positive. Blood test Monday for HCG and progesterone confirmed. Due date based on LMP is 10/10, which also happens to be our wedding anniversary. I was temping sporadically so no clear temp shift for ovulation.

@kpearse99 I appreciate your response. When we started TTGP we didn't know it would take us little time. I am an anxious person and a hypochondriac and I thought joining a community would make the journey better. I am aware that a lot of people in the forum have been there a long time and that everyone is in different spots because of infertility whether known or unexplained. While I was active in my BMB and knew most of the rules, it's also been a few years so it's perfectly normal that it takes time to get back on track. I guess I did it all wrong. And it certainly was not my intention to post the progression in the TWW as a "look I am pregnant". Realistically, how was I supposed to know? It seems clear to me that I should not have joined, period.

I will say I am awful at tracking, understanding some of the acronyms, etc. For example, "month/cycle": at first I thought they were all the same and put in 1/2 because it had been roughly 2 months since we actively started trying but I realized that's not what it meant so I went back to 1/1. I even put two different numbers in other sections, I am a space cadet. I had to go back to the rules a few times. Learning as I went, hoping I would not mess up too much because I already saw that reactions could get heated. I didn't think that at some point I would have to make sure everything matched correctly - from my point of view it was an honest mistake and it was never my intention that it would be taken as lying. Numbers can be important for those comparing journeys and potentially figuring out different approaches.

I am glad we were able to have an exchange. @bows22 believe it or not I was curious about what you guys were talking about so that's why I asked about that waiting room thread. I tend to not engage with the Peggys or what have you much because they are just trolls and trolls should not be fed, I don't have the mental bandwidth to let them have the best of me.... but sometimes a girl can still enjoy a good popcorn moment.

This turned into WAYYYY more words than I intended, and WAYYY more time than I have on my hands - it bugs me that I had to go into way more details that I anticipated and that this had to be part of my intro here but it felt important to share my side.

Sorry for hijacking the intro thread @October 2020 ladies, hopefully it can go back to regular programming. Best of luck to all the TTGP women, the month is not over so I hope to see more of you here soon (@singing_koala, huge congrats!).

Hi everyone!

I'm going to make the 3rd Massachusetts member! My EDD is 10/7, and I'll be having my first appt on 2/24 because of a CP back in November.

I'm a middle school English teacher and my husband is a writer. We married back in July and have been trying ever since, so I am cautiously optimistic. My 1st DD is 8yo and this will be my DH's first child.

Glad to be on board, and many congratulations to all of you!

Hi everyone! My husband and I are expecting again! We have a 8 year old daughter. Last year we lost a set of twins at 20 weeks due to an Incompetent cerix. It wasn't discovered until I was 4 cm dilated which happened to be at my 20 week scan, when we also found out it was twins. This happened in March of 2019. I took a pregnancy test yesterday and today and both are positive. I will be getting an ultra sound in 2 weeks, and will be referred to a specialist who I delt with in the hospital last year. Here is to a great and happy 9 months everyone! ❤️

Hi everyone!

First time everything here 35 going on 36 years old- my husband and I were NOT trying as I'm in my 2nd year of veterinary school (not the most ideal timing)! But life does what it wants and here we are 🙂

My EDD is 10/8....I had been off birth control pills for almost 4 weeks and had an appointment to get an IUD put in, but started having some cramps the day before my appointment. I cancelled thinking my period was coming....4 days later it still hadn't. Tested positive almost immediately on the first test....and the subsequent 5 over the next 24 hours lol.

I'm pretty nervous about the time leading up to my first appointment- I feel pretty helpless. Both of my sister in laws had 2nd trimester complications/losses so I'm very anxious to see something and speak with a doctor! So far I'm feeling pretty good, short of a decreased appetite and REALLY sore boobs.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's journeys and love that this community is here!

it's always nerve-wracking to get to that first appointment. My mindset is that there's always something new to worry about at every stage, even when the baby is out! It's nice to find support here for sure, especially as a first time mama.

My EDD is October 5. This is my first time ever being pregnant, and I’m a nervous wreck but very excited! I think conception was exactly two months after I got my IUD out. I found out by taking a number of tests last week after missing my period.

We live in the Pacific Northwest.

I’m a 36 year old mother of 2. DD is 4 today and DS will be 2 in 10 days. I unexpectedly got my bfp at 9dpo because I felt weird and did a test just for the fun of it and got a big surprise as it was almost as dark as the control I less than 2 minutes (which makes me think twins 😮). DH isn’t as enthusiastic cz he thought we were done. I hope he comes around soon. EDD 10/12/2020.

@profmcgonagall you are correct a complete bitch. Our specialist said that it possibly could have been prevented. I told my reg dr a week before I was feeling a lot of pressure. I was 4cm dilated by the time I got to the specialist.

My EDD is 10/13, I found out by putting a stick in a cup.

I’m 33, married, and a SAHM to a 4yo. I just got over a nasty stomach bug, that’s not worrisome at all /sarcasm/. I’m definitely having pregnancy symptoms, but they’re all the same as the symptoms from my illness. Other than that my biggest concern right now is finding a good OB, my previous doctor retired from delivering babies. He was so good, and I’m not sure if I’ll find anyone quite like him. :'( I’m hoping for a VBAC this time around, which might make finding an OB around here more difficult.

Hello all, I'm tentatively joining here, I'm always anxious joining groups, especially in early pregnancy when everything is still kind of unsure..
I wasn't on the TTGP boards before this so I'm a stranger too, but I'm looking forward to hopefully getting to know everyone, you seem like a lovely group!
My EDD is 10/18, I'm a loss mom to a little girl stillborn last spring and I'm from Boulder CO. I'll try not to bore anyone too much with hippie conversation 😉

I can understand not realizing you were pregnant because of illness. DD had a cold and stomach bug so when I started feeling queasy I thought I caught the bug.

Good luck on your OB search. Finding a practitioner that gets you can be tricky.

@salliesqpants I’m figuring you were responding to me. I definitely knew I was pregnant (pee stick) and I definitely caught a stomach bug from my child. What is questionable is whether my current symptoms are from getting over the bug or if they are pregnancy symptoms, which I just thought was funny.

Hi everyone!

First time mom here

I'm 31 and live in Toronto. My husband and I tried for a few months and got BFP 2 weeks ago. The blodwork came positive couple days later. EDD Ocober 4 and we hope for a healthy baby.

Symptoms: honestly, no much for now except that my boobs are killing me

Also had some mild cramps last week and started getting round ligament pains from time to time.
