R/R: I'm so excited it is finally Friday. We actually have a relaxing weekend planned for once, and I am so ready.

CS/Q: Chart is still nothing to look at. My question is about SMEP. I have heard a lot of people mention this as a concept, but any recommended resource for actually learning what this is? Any evidence for it? Etc.

@fitzfizz I haven’t ever done SMEP but my RE office recommends sex EOD until a positive OPK, then you have sex that day and the next 2 days. I believe SMEP is very close to that except there is a certain day you start and then there is an extra BD at the end So I don’t know if my RE’s opinion counts as “evidence” but there you go haha.

R/R: Shout out to the real MVP, @mvt2003 , for showing me how to make my mobile browser work for TB. This has been a rough few days 😂. Between my stomach issues earlier this week and not sleeping well because of AF, I am exhausted and haven’t been the most productive so I’m hoping I can pull myself together today. We will see.

WAYDTGKU: prenatals and temping but otherwise NTNP for a bit.

R/R: Yesterday somehow got away from me and all I was able able to do was lurk and love tit. Sorry ladies!
We have a superintendent's conference day today and are doing a mental health training all day. I'm happy we're getting the training cause it's definitely important but it's going to make for a very looooong day. And then I get to be out of my classroom next Friday all day to sit in on music teacher interviews. It's going to be so strange being on this side of the interviews!

CS/Q: the latest I've O'd in my last 5 cycles is CD 40 which is today. Sooooo either I'm having a crazy long cycle or I'm guessing it may be an an-O cycle.

@fitzfizz ahhhh thank you so much!!! You’re so wonderful!! I believe SMEP is all about the timing. You start with EOD around CD8 and then when you get a positive OPK you HIO that day and the next two days. Then skip a day and HIO one more time. Google has some good step by step guides but that’s the gist of it!

R/R: I’m just chilling in the waiting room waiting for the sperm wash to complete so we can do the IUI! FX so hard for this one!!!

I’m so glad it’s Friday! I’m going to be an old lady tonight as I’m going to a designer bag bingo! I can’t wait 👵🏻!!

WAYDTGKU: IVF - Taking this cycle to do additional testing

R/R: TGIF! We have a pretty busy weekend planned, but I'm looking forward to it. Saturday we are going to an RV expo that we're both really excited about! We're not planning on buying a new RV anytime soon, since the once we just bought in August is practically brand new, but it'll be fun to see future options and all the accessories and stuff! We'll be making changes to the deck on it this spring, and possibly buying a screen room for it, so we're excited to just go see some vendors! Sunday, my dad (aka our contractor lol) is coming up to help us measure and make a list of materials we need to buy for the laundry room, and then I have my second acupuncture appointment.

@bows22 Haha, well I would think your RE is probably basing this off of some sort of evidence, so I will count it!

@gingermama29 I hope your ovaries wake up soon, but if they don't I hope at least AF comes so you can move on. I'm sure that is so frustrating, I am sorry you are having to deal with that.

@kpearse 99 What is designer bag bingo? I must be an old lady as well because I'm not even sure what that is and I kind of want to go haha

R/R: It's going to be a DAY, ladies! I woke up at 5am, looked at my phone, saw 8 work emails and that was it for my sleeping haha. Luckily, I had to be in the office early anyway today, but it might be a Starbucks day!

I've got to hit the grocery store after work for dinner stuff, and then hopefully we'll finish The Witcher tonight!

@fitzfizz The SMEP plan actually has a website - you start on CD8 and HIO every other day until you get a positive OPK, then you do it every day for 3 days, skip a day and do one more. I've done it a few times, can say it does get a bit shall we say exhausting?

We have had one former TTGPer have an epically long cycle when she did SMEP, but she kept at it and that was actually the month she got her BFP.

@gingermama29 Good luck on the interviewing! It's kind of awkward, but it is nice getting to size up future coworkers. My department is a big fan of interviewing as a group, which was super stressful when I was the candidate, but nice as a department because we're a very tight-knit team.

@feather_heather That sounds so fun!! I'm also so excited for your laundry room reno! Living vicariously!!!

@fitzfizz - The first appointment went well, but there was alot of talking and her asking questions. I did feel relaxed afterwards, but it could have been from just lying in a quiet room with soothing music and smells haha

@mvt2003 - It's a much needed renovation, but it's probably going to take us awhile because we're doing it ourselves. We renovated our kitchen ourselves (with my dad's help) last fall and it lead to DH and I's first fight haha (everyone just stressed out and exhausted) Hopefully since this is tucked away in the basement and not in the center of our home it won't be as stressful this time around!

@feather_heather I would love a laundry room - our washer and dryer is just in an unfinished section of our basement. We need to get control of our basement anyway, it's literally the worst use of space possible. Also, we renovated our old house on a shoestring, doing a ton of work ourselves, so I completely empathize with the stress of that. We had so many bickering fights during that period of time!!! We redid all of the floors and baseboards, painted our kitchen cabinets, got new counters and backsplash, steamed off tons of wallpaper. I literally gave myself carpal tunnel doing all of the detail work painting.

@bows22 Didn't have time for a morning SB - might sneak out in a bit for one, we have one super close. I was in the office by 8:15 and that was already later than I wanted to be.

R/R: Happy Friday!! We have almost made it to the weekend!! I’m excited to get some cleaning done (it is long overdue), and we decided not to travel because there is potential for some bad weather tomorrow! So hopefully we can have a nice productive, but somewhat relaxing weekend!!

WAYDTGKU: PNV (need to be better about taking them), OPK's, CM and HIO

R/R: I started OPK's this morning and used the Premom app to upload the picture and it told me my LH level. I really like the idea of having one place with the pictures of the progression and it has a pretty user friendly chart. Similar to the FF chart but easy to use like the Ovia app. I bought the Easy@Home OPK's on Amazon instead of the usual Wondfo's because they we're prime one-day, they created the app so they want you to use the Easy@Home OPK's but you could use any brand.

@fitzfizz I have never heard of SMEP but it sounds promising and tiring. I will have to look into it more when I'm not on my work laptop

@bows22 I tried forever to find the desktop site on mobile last night and I couldn't figure it out so I gave up. I am usually only on M-F 8-4 because that's when I am on a computer at work

@gingermama29 sorry about your super long cycle. I was getting so frustrated last month when I was on CD 35. I hope your ovaries get their isht together soon!

WAYDTGKU: FF, PNVs, baby aspirin, BBT charting, OPKs, Mucinex CD10-1DPO, Preseed, CM/CP

R/R: TGIF!! I did a quick little 2-mile run this morning, which felt good because it's the first time I've been able to go running in almost two weeks because of this stupid chest cold I've been fighting off. I didn't die coughing so that was nice. I'm hoping to be able to go to one of our favorite dinner spots tonight, where they serve fried oyster tacos (MH's favorite) and blackened fish tacos (my favorite), and usually have about 7 or 8 local oyster varieties to choose from. It's a small place, with only about 12 tables and a few seats at the raw bar. Very bistro style, but not bougie. Their food is sooooooo good, and we haven't gone there in months, so I'm looking forward to going back.

CS/Q: Nah. I got a high reading on my CBAD OPK yesterday, so I'm guessing I'll get a peak reading today or tomorrow. My CM has been watery the past couple days. I haven't checked today, but if history serves, it'll turn EWCM today or tomorrow, so I'm hoping to HIO after dinner tonight.

R/R: Rave: So glad it is Friday! I am wiped out since being back in school this week. It always takes a week or two for me to adjust after a break. Looking forward to lots of relaxing and getting the house clean and organized, with all of our pets it always looks like a tornado hit by Friday (Saturday is my cleaning day) no matter what, and a messy house stresses me out.

@gingermama29 anytime we have training's like that the days go by so slow. I agree though that they are definitely important, but I feel like the people doing the training could be a bit less monotonous! Also, I'm sure it'll be weird being on that side of the interview but also great because you can have a say in who you will be working with in the future!

@feather_heather yay for getting started on the laundry room! That is one of my few definite needs for our new house, it has to have a laundry room. I can compromise on a lot of things but not that, lol

@kpearse99 yay for IUI!!! I have every crossed for you, FX that this is the one!!!

@bluetickgal - That sounds exactly like my weekend last week and it was great! I love being able to clean and then relax in a freshly cleaned house (like I'm kinda unhealthily obsessed with the smell of a freshly bleached bathroom)

@krash_ - I don't know why but I went oldschool with my opks and literally labeled them and taped them into a notebook. An app makes much more sense

@ttcbabyodo - OMG those tacos sound delicious! Enjoy an extra one for me!

@bserena - A messy house stresses me out too! I'm in for a rude awakening once we do have LOs...

@feather_heather It was a very specific circumstance, and it was pretty intense! My mom had passed away, and we inherited the house. We started just fixing it up to update it - started with one small project, and just kept going. Then one of the houses in our development went on the market and we realized for the first time in many many years we were in a sellers market in our area and we would most likely make back the money my mom paid for the house so we finished it up and got it on the market FAST!

@gingermama29 I hope your day flies by!! I bet you'll probably enjoy being on the other side of interviews. It is certainly weird, at first, but it is so much less stressful to be the one giving the interview!!

@fitzfizz It's regular bingo but the prizes are all different kinds of designer bags (Coach, LV, Kate Spade..etc) Plus, it's a BYO so it just makes it that much more fun!

@krash_ I may have to look into those OPK's. I have the SmileReader ones, they have an app too which I really like, but I don't think the stripes are that accurate, not for me anyway.

@bserena I hear ya on the pets making a house a disaster!! I put the dog toys away like 10 times every day and within 5 minutes Lola takes the whole basket in her mouth and dumps them all back out again. haha

R/R: Not having my medicine really hit me today. It's almost noon and I just barely got up and showered. I slept through an appointment I had at 10 and I even went to bed at a decent time last night. I'm hoping I can make it through the weekend since I can't get my medicine until Monday or Tuesday when their new stock comes in. I'm pretty sure it's FW and H wanted to HIO this morning. I feel bad because I just laid there while he did all the work. At least we got it in though.

R/R: I FINALLY got my period after having my Nexplanon removed! Based on dates I O'd about a week later than I had thought but that was a given with the removal that it would be off "normal". Hopefully now I can start tracking in earnest and actually have a chance! Our timing for BD was WAY off last month

CS/Q: Do you all have the gents take any supplements as well beyond daily "normal" vitamins?

R/R: super frustrated that I wasted so long on crappy OPKs. I have a stupid amount of anxiety about getting pregnant, and these tests just made it a million times worse. During my fertile window the control line was super dark, but the over was varying shades of “hardly can see it pink.” I just got the easy@home ones that @krash_ also bought, these ones seem to actually work. The premom app is better than the other one too.

CS/Q: is mabis still the go to BBT? It’s what is suggested in the newbie thread but it only has a 3 star rating on Amazon.
