  • @faith_2911 my initial gut feeling has been correct with both my kids. And this time my pregnancy feels so similar to my daughter’s and it lines up with my initial intuition so i‘m pretty convinced.
  • @faith_2911 both Dh and I think it’s a boy. Heart rate was high like Dd though so maybe a girl?

  • @WishesSheCouldCook Both my kids have had similar HRs early on. One’s a boy, one’s a girl!
  • @babytimeagain It is seriously unbelievable that your OB hasn’t fixed their issues yet! What are they doing if a patient goes into labor or has an emergency? In answer to your question, my practice does the NIPT at 12 weeks.
  • @babytimeagain Holy cow, I can’t believe you’re still dealing with that! I’m so sorry for the extra hassle on top of your PGAL anxiety. I hope they resolve it ASAP. As for the NIPT, my OB gave me the script for it at my 8 week appointment with instructions to do after 10 weeks. But I do my NIPT draw through my high risk OB which will be at 11w6d.
  • @babytimeagain I can’t believe they don’t have a solution to this yet. Wishing you peaceful thoughts. I did my NIPT today at 10w1. OB said anything after 9w was fine. I am doing the maternit21

  • @babytimeagain That must be so frustrating! That is such a long time for computers to be down... especially at a medical practice. How wild. I'm sorry you're having to deal with all that.

My NIPT will most likely be at 10+3. The nurse practitioner said I could have it done starting a little past 10 weeks.

  • @babytimeagain Wow at the system being down, and double wow at the $800 price tag for your meds! That's wild. I wonder why insurance won't cover it?

@kgrgreen So jealous of your massage. I don't even remember the last time I escaped the house just by myself. I love being able to be home with my kiddos, but when it's all kids, all the time, I start to go a little stir crazy. A massage sounds heavenly! Also, grew up with the Columbus Zoo myself! It's always been a family favorite.
  • Thanks @roo_baby I will try those suggestions!
  • @kgrgreen I love your Columbus weekend getaway idea. I lived in Columbus for a little bit and I loved going to Cosi even as an adult! We try to get down there at least once a year for an Ohio State game. I might still your idea and make a family weekend getaway out of a football weekend!

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Finding out

Baby is the size of a(n): Piece of popcorn

    Upcoming appointments: First one today!

How are you feeling? Very gassy, but constipation is starting to leave. Nausea has also started to subside, maybe it's due to my new probiotics...?

    Raves/Rants:
Rave: Just excited to finally make it to our appointment and happy as each healthy day passes. We had a miscarriage back in October due to a virus and rash that I caught, pityriasis rosea, which of course was absolutely heartbreaking... so I'm just grateful that this next oppty came so quickly for us and that we have another bundle on the way.
    Rants
: My sister in law and hubby's best friend's wife are both due around the time we were expecting before we lost it. I still get bothered how I'm expected to fly 1.5hrs 3 separate times for their baby showers and I've had to keep this new exciting news such a secret. Also still not sure how much I like the act of breast feeding; still creeps me out a bit.

    Questions:

GTKY What is a tradition or special place you are excited to do with baby? Just to cuddle and snuggle together. Also already looking forward to next year's holidays with our new addition and the family.
  • @rivercitynik I did not make it to yoga.  It is offered at my doctor's office at 7pm... which is late.  I wish it were at least at 6:30pm so I could stop on my way home.  I don't know how this will work because if I run home first I won't be leaving lol... I may need to just bring a big snack with me and hang out in the car.  Your pop-up trip sounds exciting!!
