I feel like activity slows a bit on the weekend on the bump boards. What are you ladies up to? I know a big part of the country is getting snow this weekend...any snow day plans?
And a question: anyone gain weight already? I weigh myself daily just to keep an eye (I lost quite a bit of weight in the last two years, in a large part to make my body healthier for pregnancy), and I’m up like 4-5lbs. I’m hoping it’s mostly progesterone bloat, but if it’s from easing up on keto/intermittent fasting then I’m going to have to find a better middle ground or I’m going to get HUGE.
Re: Weekend Randoms 1/18-1/19
@notagoodpatient I've definitely gained some weight already- around 4-5lbs too. It's for sure bloat. I was so worried at the end of my last pregnancy that I wasn't going to lose the weight, but a lot dropped off initially after delivery. I didn't realize how much was bloat and swelling.

I haven’t particularly, but it’s definitely something I’ve seen others complain about. I’ve been a bit nervous to let anything up there 😳 because I’ve read that it commonly causes spotting which is not good for my PGAL brain.

as for plans, apparently it’s supposed to snow here in SC at some point? Which will be fun since apparently no one can handle snow down here. I’m running errands today and tomorrow H and I get to work together so fx we don’t kill each other haha
I’ve also gained 2-3 lbs. Probably bloat, maybe fast food.

@mflowers929 I once heard a 3 year old refer to her swim lessons as ‘bossy swimming’ because she prefers to just do her own thing.

@chasingroygbiv I love la croix for the carbonation when I'm queasy. Sweet tea has been extra appealing lately.
For the soda drinkers, I drink Zevia sodas when I'm craving something like that. They are sweetened with stevia so it takes a bit of getting used to though.
As for weight gain, I’m up a few pounds as well, and I’ve REALLY been watching what I’m eating - so it’s gotta just be the bloat, right?!?
My random is that my SIL had her second baby yesterday. Cousin #10 on that side with the oldest cousin being 9 so they’re all fairly close in age. I’m looking forward to hopefully being able to share that we’re expecting #11 soon. Meanwhile my brothers have no kids so we have no cousins on my side.

One of the things I think about when I’m having a bad PGAL day is that I would have been out of the first trimester with both my other pregnancies by my grandmother’s big 90th birthday celebration and I would have been able to announce/gift her a great grandma thing. As it stands I’ll hopefully be 10 weeks and change...

@crispy11 this baby won’t have any cousins yet. H and I are both the oldest so our siblings are in their early 20s (and my one brother is 10). So it will probably be a few more years before they have a cousin. Unless our siblings choose not to have kids at all!
And @notagoodpatient PGAL brain is so hard! I was more active in the PGAL threads for my April 2013 group because things were fresh for me then but now I tend to hang back from those because although I’m still technically PGAL, it feels different fo me with 3 more full term healthy babies since my loss in between my girls almost 8 years ago now. Anyway, sending all my best vibes to the PGAL ladies on this board.
