***General TW that this thread might contain discussions mentioning MC and loss.***
Welcome to Waiting Room Wednesday! You can express your thoughts, feelings, and frustrations on not TTC and connect with others who are in the same boat. TTC can be a long journey, and having to wait makes it feel even longer -- even if it is for a good reason.
I invite you to resurrect this thread at any point in the month if you have something to say. Treat this like an ongoing conversation.

Crazy ridiculous baby fever
Well, an update for you guys. I’m still signed off of work by my doctor and I will be until at least the 17th and then IF I can go back, it’ll be part time 3 days a week (part time of full wage and the other two days will be Statutory Sick Pay). My anxiety is through the freaking roof. I constantly feel like I can’t breathe. I’m going to talk to my doctor about changing my medicine because while the depression has gotten much better, the anxiety is way worse. DH says that if I’m still in this place next year (when we plan on TTC), that we will just push back our TTC date which I understand completely but would break my heart.
GTKY: What has been your favourite year of this past decade?
There’s definitely been some really good and really memorable years. 2015 was probably the greatest year of the decade for me: worked at Disney, met my now husband, went to England for the first time, and my overall confidence was the best it’s ever been.

When do you think you will start TTC?
ASAP, lol. We have been waiting on buying a house before beginning TTC. We just got some good news so we're thinking it'll be earlier than we originally thought! Hopefully within the next few months.

Baby fever!
Rave: So, our hold up in the home buying process has been my terrible credit. However, our realtor recommended that I join with National Credit Care last month to see if they could help. In one month with them my credit has gone up 70 points!! I was so happy when I got the update. So now we are officially able to buy a home, and even better, one of the areas we really like is considered rural and we can get financing with 0 down. So exciting! And even more exciting, this means we can start TTC soon!
GTKY: What has been your favourite year of this past decade?
Probably this one! We got married, I am doing great in school, I have gotten my mental health issues under control and we are just in a great place overall. I've had a rough decade for many reasons, and things have really turned around in the past couple years. So grateful for that.

September 2020.
What brings you to WRW?
Wanting to talk about my desire for a baby.
Rant: Last month I had a doctor's appointment and discovered I had a small nodule on my right thyroid. I got an ultra sound, and right now it is small enough that my PCP doctor isn't worried, but I've been refereed to a EMT specialist for care. I just scheduled a doctor's appointment for end of January 2020... so we shall see about where this leads... I'm not overly worried about it yet, but there is the chance it could be cancerous and I'l need to be removed down the road... is it weird that my biggest fear right now is this is going to impact TTC next fall?
GTKY: What has been your favourite year of this past decade?
Wow, this is a hard one. I'll probably say 2018 as that is the year my son was born. Although 2016 would be a close tie as that was the year I got married.
When do you think you will start TTC?
Probably not until January 2021. I think about it all the time but financially we need to wait until our oldest is almost in kindergarten. I also want to wait until my youngest is at least 2

Thinking about babies all the time
Rant: I'm teaching a new employee at work and she is driving me crazy. She isn't a good fit in the ICU but my managers want to give her a little time. Ugh
Rave: my oldest is almost 3 and she is loving the holiday season. I'm loving watching her

That's a hard one. 2016 I graduated with my bachelor's in nursing, got married, went to Maine on our honeymoon, found out I was pregnant, and started my dream job as a nurse in an ICU. It was a great year. I also love being a mom and January 2017 made me a mom.
@leahrnp DS is turning two in less than a month and I'm excited about the holiday season with him. I can only imagine how awesome it is with an almost 3 year old! Also, can I just say - love that you have January babies as well.
Edited to add additional thoughts.
@leahrnp I bet Maine was amazing! I am originally from Vermont and I miss it so much. I live in Tennessee now (where my DH is from) but I am itching to head back up north. Fall is incredibly beautiful in New England. And a career as a nurse in the ICU sounds so great, my dream is to go to medical school eventually (I am an undergrad biology major now), and my mom is a nurse and loves her job.

@bserena Maine was great. We stayed in bar harbor and had a great time. We actually went to Manchester Vermont on our way back home. I really liked it there. I'm currently trying to figure out what I want long term career wise. I got into a leadership residency at my hospital so I'm going to do that and then decide if I see myself in leadership or going back to nurse practitioner school.
