  • I opted not to do betas because I thought they’d make my anxiety even worse.

Turns out I just formed an addiction to POAS. And I still have anxiety 😂

Hope everyone gets perfectly rising betas!
  • I don’t know how many dpo I was when I had mine done. My last cycle was a chemical in September. I got my bfp on 3 Dec. Then:

7 Dec - 813 (unplanned visit to the hospital for a bad uti)
    16 Dec - 36,645 (scheduled visit)

I’m not 100% sure how far along I am. Based on those numbers 7-8 weeks.
  • I ordered my own betas yesterday because my doctor wouldn’t and I felt like I was stressing too much about if my HPT were progressing enough etc. and I wanted something a bit more quantitative to ease my mind until my first appointment.  At 21DPO they were just under 1800.

I know I need to get a repeat to see growth, but I won’t be able to get it until 24DPO the day after Christmas. So for people with beta experience, does 1800 at 21DPO sound “good”? According to betabase it’s right under the median, but not sure if there are other sources to look at for good ranges. Also I read that after HCG reaches 1200, doubling time slows from 48-72 hours to 72-96 hours. Is that accurate? Trying to figure out what a good second beta number would look like 3 days later.
  • @fitandnerdy doubling times will slow after you reach a 1,000. I think you want to see about a 50% increase, IRC. The first number is pretty much pointless without the second. The big thing is, did you confirm O with temping? If you didnt, you may not be 21dpo. You may have implanted later, etc.
  • @wildrainbow I did confirm with temping so I’m fairly confident on the DPO
  • @fitandnerdy Ok. Your numbers aren't awful. Honestly, I don't do betas anymore because of the stress they cause. There is such a wide range of normal that it just causes so much stress to make sure you had a proper increase, etc. The best thing is just wait and see what your next set of numbers say. I'm sorry I don't have more answers, but once they get up in the 1,000s it's hard because they don't necessarily double so it causes stress. I say if you get a 50% or higher increase, then you are sitting pretty.
  • Omg @marfi236 Sounds great!  What a brutally long wait for a second beta!!! 😧
  • 6 weeks from LMP 57,791
    7 weeks 1 d from LMP 114,000 😳
Seems high to me but doc says normal!
