Perhaps this question has been asked and answered...but someone here suggested that a "rare 1%" if I recall, correctly, as to women who have definite negative pregnancy tests, yet are pregnant...so my question is, how many thousands of women who are indeed pregnant at any one time (in the world? or if the 1% figure is country or region specific), would the "rare 1%" number be?

Bravo for 1. reviving a 4 year old post. Zombies! 2. asking a rhetorical question that no one can really answer without a LOT more information. "Definitively negative" at how many DPO? Plenty of women get negative HPTs if they test too early. And then I'm sure there are women out there using expired tests that may not give an accurate result.
LSS - if you think you're pregnant but HPTs are negative, either you're testing too early (maybe ovulated later than you thought), or you're not pregnant. If you're still convinced you're pregnant, have your doctor order labs for a beta. If that's negative then you are indeed NOT pregnant.
My guess is that you're hoping you're the "rare 1%," which is why you revived this post.
@stassischroeder - did you notice that like 50% of the people from this 2015 thread are now banned? WTF happened there? Or do people get "user banned carry on" pictures for fun?

@leksiL I had fun reading this post! I miss The Bump of 2015-2016. But yeah, lots of people from 2015 got banned, although some DO use the banned pic for fun.
@leksiL - I was active on the board from 2013-15. The board mods were everyday users, not paid Bump employees. It used to be so much fun (it's still more fun than many other boards though, which is why I came back even after the exodus). Basically they imposed a bunch of rules to "keep it clean" and prevent drama. In the old days you could use much stronger language and threads would blow up to several pages with hilarious gifs and crazy women defending their whacky theories. Oh, and the dads board was great lurking. There were some gem threads from that. I think my all-time favorite topic was someone asking if they used a bowling ball for "practice" stretching themselves out to prepare for labor. If you're bored and have some time on your hands it's worth looking for. But I bet it's heavily cleaned up by TBGs so maybe not so funny anymore...
I'd love for the parenting board to come back to its former glory but I think those days are long gone. I'm not even TTCing anymore, just lurking to watch after some friends, but I'd love to talk parenting with other moms.
ETA: a bunch of users did indeed get banned when they rebelled against the new rules and complained. Violators were swiftly smacked by the ban hammer.
I was around at that time too, just as a lurker, though. There were some great conversations. The boards were vibrant and I had some good laughs. Miss the boards being that active. I post and stay on the tri boards, just to give advice as not many do.
I love reading old threads, so I don’t mind zombie posts. But to the zombie reviver: if you’re asking if you are in the rare 1%, odds are you are not...
