    Questions: nah

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: finding out

Baby is the size of a(n): blueberry

Upcoming appointments: dec 23 with high risk/mfm

How are you feeling?: Absolutely awful, I had a stomach bug or something all weekend and was in bed from Thursday night until now. So on top of all day pregnancy nausea, add in all the lovely symptoms of the stomach virus. I haven’t eaten solid food in 3 days.

Raves/Rants: Rant- the stomach virus is hell on earth. Rave- hubs did an amazing job being the solo parent this weekend taking care of me and the baby. Hats off to him.

    Questions: none

GTKY: What’s your favorite Christmas / winter tradition?: seven fish dinner on Christmas Eve! It’s an Italian tradition and when I was younger my entire family (aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbors) would all come and contribute dishes to the meal. Now that I have moved away from my family, I am the host and love carrying on the tradition.
  • EDD/weeks+days: July 26, 7+1

Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: finding out! Both H and I would like a girl, but of course healthy either way is the most important!

Baby is the size of a(n): m&m!

Upcoming appointments: 12/17 it’ll be a long week

How are you feeling?: overall good. Exhausted. Occasional waves of nausea. Lots of lightheaded/dizzy episodes. But today was the first day in over a week I didn’t wake up with spotting!

Raves/Rants: rant. Tired of food aversions. Generally healthier food has been what makes me want to gag ): and I really want lots of veggies

    Questions: no questions

GTKY: What’s your favorite Christmas / winter tradition? We don’t have much for traditions. Hoping to start when we have a LO. But I do just love getting together with other families for dinners. Fills my cup.
  • EDD/weeks+days: July 31st/6w3d

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Green

Baby is the size of a(n): sweet pea

Upcoming appointments: 8 week ultrasound on December 19th

How are you feeling? Nausea is bad in the evenings and all the fatigue. Back pain comes and goes. Saturday was bad. I had a BLT with avocado and it did not agree with me. Laid me low for the afternoon.

Raves/Rants: Nothing thus far. Just trying to make it through the last couple of weeks of work.

    Questions: Nothing yet.

GTKY: What’s your favorite Christmas / winter tradition? When I was a kid, the whole family would go out and cut down our Christmas tree. We would run through the trees trying to pick the best one and then try and convince mom and dad to let us use the saw. It was awesome. Then in the evening after it had settled in the stand my brothers and I would decorate while mom and dad took a step back to see if we had missed any spots.

Now my favourite tradition is Boxing Day sandwiches made with leftovers. That is courtesy of DH.

@kc0711 That is an amazing tradition. I'm glad you get to carry it on!

@rachstar18 Let us know how your appointment went!
  • EDD/weeks+days: July 26th / 7w 1d

Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Enthusiastic team green. We didn't find out with our first. I love surprises (and hate pink lol)

Baby is the size of a(n): blueberry

Upcoming appointment: I have an u/s on Dec 21st and go back to see my NP on Dec 27. First OB appt booked for Jan 20 (they all seem so far away  :(

How are you feeling?: supremely tired. And the nausea is something else. I was nauseous for my entire pregnancy with my first, but never at night, so that's something fun and new.

Raves/Rants: I was up for 2 hours in the middle of the night last night, for no reason at all. The night before DD was up for 2 hours with a bad cough. I'm tired.

    Questions:
GTKY: What’s your favorite Christmas / winter tradition? I love all things Christmas and am super bummed that I'm too tired to even keep up with some traditions. My fav is usually Christmas Eve at my grandparents. All of family is there and they play guitar and we sing and it's always just so special. I can't wait to bring DD this year and have her kind of participate this year (she was kind of a lump last Christmas lol).

btw I skipped an ugly Christmas Sweater party this weekend just to not have to drink haha.
  • @rachstar18 how old are your kiddos again? We like to go visit a drive through xmas light park and they never get tired of that ❤ I hope your appointment went well!

@kc0711 Does your family come to you for the seven fish dinner or is all friends and neighbors now?

@nursejenn5 I'm kind of hoping for a girl this time too. My oldest (14) is a girl and then I have 3 boys. This will be my DH's first, and he won't say one way or another other than healthy. I think that's obvious.

@meri-mac oh my gosh, your favorite tradition is what made me never ever want a real tree 😂 I remember us all piling in the truck and going to the tree farm in frigid weather, walking all around and my 2 sisters and I all liking different trees, but getting upset because my mom made the final decision and NEVER picked one of our trees. Then we'd all be grumpy and and forced to take a "happy" family photo in front of the tree that none of us wanted. And a fight on the car ride home really rounded out the day. 😂 I hated it SO much. I remember making my mom so mad when I was in high school by telling her I didnt want to go because it wasnt like we had a choice anyway. I ml oved out at 17 and have always had an artificial tree hahaha.
  • EDD/weeks+days: 6w5d

Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: finding out at ultrasound

Upcoming appointments: next Tuesday is the first one!

How are you feeling? Good/terrible/nervous. I’m just a couple days away from the end of my bad milestones from the last pregnancy, so I’m happy things are going so well but also nervous. And my exhaustion is insane - I feel like I’m living in a fog and no matter how much I rest it doesn’t get better.

Raves/Rants: My 18 month old puked in her crib last night. My husband and I have an unspoken agreement where he gets up early with her every single day, but anything that goes down in the middle of the night is my domain. Now I can’t stop thinking about the puke and can’t tell if I’m getting what she had, just am grossed out by the thought, or just have morning sickness. 🤢
  • @modoodles my parents come to town and I have a sibling who lives out here. Now we also invite DH’s family and our friends who have become family. This year we also have good friends flying in to town to spend the holidays with us, so it’ll be a full house!
  • @kc0711 sounds like lots of fun!
  • @modoodles Oh I'm sorry your tree hunting was so lack lustre  We were feral kids, out in the woods all the time. My brothers and I made a human sling shot near our skating pond. It was absolutely a death trap, but so fun.
  • EDD/weeks+days: July 29, 6w5d

Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Team finding out, and I hate to admit that I'm really team Blue. I'm actually worried I'll be disappointed. Does anyone else feel that way? I've just always wanted a boy.

Baby is the size of a(n): sweet pea

Upcoming appointments: Dec 26th and the wait is ridiculous.

How are you feeling? My symptoms had been pretty mild. Hello baby are you in there? They've also come and gone. I had "nope nips," headache/caffeine withdrawal, but exhaustion throughout. Today I got introduced to morning sickness. Oh joy.

Rants: I'm having an aversion to coffee! I was doing decaf but now I can't stand any. The caffeine withdrawal has been tough. I'm taking naps almost every day and feel like it's keeping me from getting stuff done!

Questions: Do cravings start this early? I know aversions can but what about cravings?

GTKY: What’s your favorite Christmas / winter tradition?

@rachstar18 I feel you on the TX weather. I wore a light sweater today because it's in the 70's!
  • @kellsprout I can understand the feeling of maybe being disappointed if is not the gender you’ve wanted. (I’ve always really wanted a girl) But I’m sure that once the shock of it sets in and you start preparing for either gender you’ll be happy and excited!
  • @modoodles drive thru lights lights sound fun. The older 2 would love that. My husband has a work event tomorrow where they take clients on a riverboat “cruise” down the river walk (I’m in San Antonio). The river is lit up with millions of lights and it’s beautiful. He’s probably going to take the oldest with him.

My kids are 3.5, 2.5, and 10 months.

Appointment went great. Baby had a heartbeat and is measuring just right. Always a relief to see a healthy baby for the first time (especially with a previous loss).

@rachstar18 I live in Iowa now, but grew up in East Texas (Athens). San Antonio was always a fun trip! My kids love visiting and the riverwalk!
  • @modoodles how funny. My dad grew up in Tyler so I know that area. I love it here. What moved you to Iowa?

  • @rachstar18 Small world! When I was in jr. high my mom married someone who was from Iowa, amd we moved here then. My dad, half-siblings, and extended family on both my mom and dad's side still all live in the Athens/Tyler area!
  • @modoodles I love random connections like that. My dad’s sister and family still live there too. Very neat - I actually have several a couple friends that live in Iowa (all friends I met on here - Norwalk and Waukee.)

  • @kellsprout I actually peaked at the results with my first because if it was a girl, I needed time to process that. I also really wanted a boy. Low and behold, she was a little girl, and I cannot imagine my life without her. I definitely think I had her first for a reason. All in all, it’s 100% normal to want one gender, and it’s 100% normal to be upset if it’s not that gender. But you will adjust and it will be fine!
  • EDD: July 25, 7w3d

Team: green so far, but maybe I’ll be convinced otherwise in the coming weeks :)

Upcoming Appointments: My OBGYN is booked until January, so my first appointment is going to be at 13 weeks, on January 14th

How are you feeling? Tired but pretty normal otherwise. Also, I haven’t been in the mood to eat lately—not that anything is making me sick or crazy food aversions, it just doesn’t sound great and I haven’t been very hungry either.

Rants/Raves: With this being my second pregnancy my husband has had more of an idea of what to expect and he has been AMAZING with picking up the slack when I’m exhausted :)

GTKY: I love all the family get togethers and holiday parties around this time of year!
  • @kellsprout It has taken us a lot to get our little one and yet I still am leaning towards team pink. I know I will be over the moon with boy or girl, but I can't help it. It is going to be our only child and I have always wanted a daughter. With regards to cravings/aversions, I have been wanting pickles more than normal, but I can't stand the idea of eating chicken. I got one of those roasted chickens from Costco. It normally makes my mouth water, but I was gagging with it in the car on the way home.
  • EDD/weeks+days: EDD was July 30th but I was measuring more like the 27th so 7 weeks 1 day

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Finding out

Baby is the size of a(n): Blueberry

Upcoming appointments: I was supposed to go in Friday but after having to go in last Monday she had me move it to this next Monday to be in the 8th week.

How are you feeling? This one has been by far the worst sickness wise. I also keep catching every cold virus around so that’s not helping. My reflux is out of control and I’m finding it hard to find something that keeps it at bay.

Raves/Rants: last night was my oldest’s dance recital and she did so well! This is her 3rd year dancing on stage and I loved seeing her progress last night!

GTKY: What’s your favorite Christmas / winter tradition? I have also found that Christmas has gotten even better with kids. I love seeing their excitement grow as the years go! Something we love doing is making a handprint ornament each year shaped like something different (reindeer, grinch, Santa.. etc). We also do a Christmas Eve box and watch a movie together. We travel every other year but this year we are staying home and even though that means I don’t get to see my family, I’m kind of glad we aren’t making the 10 hour drive.

  • @rachstar18 I hear ya in the car seats! I’m not sure how we will fit a 3rd in our small SUV. I’m thinking we will need to do some research on what type of car seats will fit 3 in a row in our car.

@Pascal86 hope this is a quick bug and you don’t catch it 🙏 stomach bugs are the worst! Sorry you had to be up cleaning it 🤢 I can’t imagine! I keep waiting for it to hit our house as we’ve been exposed to others who have had it.

  • EDD/weeks+days: 6 Weeks 6 Days

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Finding out!

Baby is the size of a(n):  Sweet Pea...Blueberry Tomorrow! :)

Upcoming appointments:  Ultrasound on Thursday.  I'M DYING TO SEE IN THERE!!!

How are you feeling?  Pretty good overall.  A little less anxiety this week.  Waves of feeling gross, but nothing too terrible.

Raves/Rants:   Rave:  We have the rest of this week and midterms next week and then I am off for 2 weeks.  I need this break so very badly.  I'm also super excited for 2 weeks of not having to wear loose flowy clothes to cover up my bloat bump.

GTKY: What’s your favorite Christmas / winter tradition?   I have some cookies that I always make for Christmas each year.  I'm excited about making (and eating) those!!  Hoping DS will help out this year with the decorating.
  • @hbird0723 and @rachstar18 car seats for the littles and car seat lady blog both have posts about which car seats will fit 3 across in different cars.
  • EDD/weeks+days: 7 weeks today based on LMP to be confirmed tomorrow hopefully

Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: still not sure!

Baby is the size of a(n): blueberry

Upcoming appointments: tomorrow! hoping for an ultrasound to confirm it's in there and all

How are you feeling? AWFUL. barely making it through the day with this exhaustion, snapping at my kids and husband, super lightheaded all the time, always cold and feeling almost flu like constantly.

Raves/Rants: my rant is just that I feel awful and wish it wasn't the end of the year since all my personal and sick time is depleted. otherwise i'd be home in bed right now. my rave is I'm excited to get home and be greeted by my younger son, who is always soooo happy to see me.

    Questions: nope

GTKY: What’s your favorite Christmas / winter tradition? For Christmas just seeing our families and getting to spend time together, we still need to work on establishing some family traditions...
  • @kc0711 I found her after I already had 2 britax marathons. It’s a great resource if you’re just starting out. But my real issue is that I will haVe 4 car seats, so 3 across doesn’t matter. Also, I don’t have latches in all of my seats so I had to get a clicktight.

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Finding out

Baby is the size of a(n): Coffee bean!

Upcoming appointments: January 19th for intake exam

How are you feeling? So crappy! Exhausted, nauseous, sore breasts. I feel like everything hurts and I just want to sleep.

Raves/Rants: I get to work and I immediately want to turn around and go back home. Working as a preschool teacher with a bunch if two year olds is so exhausting and wears me out completely. Thankfully my husband is great and isn’t expecting too much from me right now  :p

Questions: What do you do to stop thinking that the worst might happen, ie MC. I’m paranoid about every little thing that happens to my body and worry that something is going to happen to the bean.

GTKY: What’s your favorite Christmas / winter tradition? Watching sappy Hallmark Christmas movies
  • @elk90 if you’re typically an anxious person, you might just have that fear. I will always so worry about it because I have experienced it.

I find it helpful to focus on milestones or important things coming up - and maybe counting down. So for me, I’m looking forward to next Wednesday when we tell family. And then Christmas, then New Years, then a dr appointment, then my son’s first birthday. And hey look, I’m already through the end of January.

@zande2016 That is awesome. I'm glad you said it. Sometimes a real world reminder is necessary! Yay for everything being there!

ATM: I have been laid low the past two days with the most awful nausea and fatigue. I feel like it was a little sickness mixed in with my little blueberry (she's a blueberry today ) I am back at work today, but could have happily slept the whole day.
  • @elk90 For me--first tri is always the hardest with worry--but I have a history of loss. Hang in there--IMO this is the hardest part!  Also--fellow preschool teacher here!! I teach 4-year-olds!
  • @kc0711 thanks for recommendation! I’ll look her blog up!

  • EDD/weeks+days: 7/25 7w5d? Idk, I’m tired

Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: finding out! DH is convinced it’s a girl. I don’t think I believe him. We already have a son and there’s SO many boys on DH’s side that I feel like we’ll just have all boys. Happy either way!

Baby is the size of a(n): Blueberry

Upcoming appointments: Dec 30 OB appt.

How are you feeling? So freaking tired. And nauseous.

Raves/Rants: I’ve been taking classes online towards my bachelors degree and the course I had this semester was the stupidest one ever. So I procrastinated severely and the end of term is Friday and I have to find the time/energy to get it all done. In between taking care of a sick toddler, sick me, and working 😫

Questions: anyone else feel like this is the longest pregnancy ever already? I’m  so very grateful, but damn, time is dragging.

GTKY: What’s your favorite Christmas / winter tradition?
Christmas movies for sure. We have a specific list of must-watch ones every year! Also, all the food.
  • EDD/weeks+days: 8 weeks

Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Dont know yet

Baby is the size of a(n): a raspberry

Upcoming appointments: ultrasound 12/17 and first appointment 12/31

How are you feeling?  I been feeling so sick to my stomach and tired lately

Raves/Rants:  I got told I didnt have a fetal pole at 5/6 weeks at ultrasound. So Wednesday hope I see my baby....

    Questions:

GTKY: What’s your favorite Christmas / winter tradition?
My favorite christmas winter is making gingerbread houses and people. We have a blast with my children watching the classic christmas movies also.
