This is a safe place for more detailed support in mental health, struggles, and successes.  Whereas general stress and issues are often discussed in R/R of dailies, this place is for a more focused discussion of the impact of mental health.  Members are encouraged to use thoughtfulness and depth to examine feelings, barriers, and useful supports. 

This post can be replied to at any time during the month. Not limited to those with a mental health diagnosis, but please be sensitive to others. We will attempt to be as flame free as possible!

FET #1 | 9.10.19 | BFN "I know you, but we've never met. I'm with you, but I don't know your name"
RPL, Receptiva, & ERA testing | all normal/negative, recommended going on gluten and dairy free diet for next FET

    Maybe I'll use the script, but I really just have a question/request!!

    Anybody use those special lamps for SAD or vitamin D deficiency? Some days I have a hard time getting outside during work hours while it's sunny out, or even just light out. I'd like to get a lamp for my desk since I don't even see windows to outside from my cubicle!

    So, any suggestions or recommendations on ones you've used?

    Btw I did find a sleek looking lamp that has 3 settings and it's been awesome! I really can't tell if it helps but I definitely like it. Bought it on amazing for only $40!

    @inthewoods23 - That lamp is neat! I've been thinking about getting a himalayan salt lamp for my desk at work. I have one at home, and same thing - no clue if it helps, but it's worth a shot!

    @feather_heather yeah you never really know if they really work but even it's a placebo effect I'll take it! Some of the lamps I saw when doing research were like $80-100+ and all kinda boxy and ugly. The lamp I bought is about the size of a tablet reader!

    @inthewoods23 I used both when I lived further north. I think maybe they helped a little, but in the end I needed something a bit stronger. But the one you posted looks great!

    @inthewoods23 - We have the phillips sunrise alarm clock and it definitely helps! I am generally a snooze 3X type of person, but this combined with the box fan shutting off wakes me up the first time.

    I've had weekends (maybe this was my college days) where I'd go to bed at 4am and wake up and be fine at 8am. All because the sun gradually woke me up. So really hoping it does the trick!
