Hello, I’m very new to the whole message board world but thought I’d give this a go! I have a tentative FET scheduled for the last week of November, anyone else expecting FET in November?
got the ok today to go ahead with a November FET after a chemical pregnancy following a FET. I start birth control again tomorrow. I am planning on calling and seeing what the time table is because I’m not very clear on what this process is - so far I’ve been communicating via the online portal with the nurses.
I’m still not really over the chemical yet. I started bleeding today and it’s so, so isolating. I did make a post on Facebook which brought a lot of support, but no one wants to hear you’re bleeding, you know?
I'm not expecting necessarily fet in Nov, but I can offer you what experience I have with fet.
For 3 weeks (and under weekly monitoring), I was taking estrogen and progesterone to build up my lining. When they see 3 layers of your endometrium, they will thaw your best frozen embryo and do ET. Then your 2WW. Every person will have a specialized protocol of course, but it was easier on my body to do a frozen cycle than a fresh one. My clinic prefers fet, since they feel they are more successful.
Best of luck, ladies!
On 10/23/13 Baby Sophie and Baby Gabriel born at 21+5 weeks. They grew wings and flew away from us. May God bless them always. We love you beans!
@erbear84 i’m sorry to hear about your chemical pregnancy, after having one myself I know how isolating it can feel, that’s partly why I decided to start posting here, it’s feels less lonely when you know others are going through similar things.
this will be my second FET and for some reason I feel like my nurse has also been very vague with me regarding my schedule and the process, but i’ll be done with my BCP next week so i’ll be reaching out to her on Monday to get more specifics on the process.
@diamante1181 thank you for giving us an idea of what to expect!! my clinic also prefers FET and this one will be my second, maybe they assume i remember 🤷🏻♀️ but it was almost 2 years ago so I’ve definitely forgotten the process.
Hi there. I'm planning on relaxing with acupuncture, massage and mindfulness, and taking my protocol of supplements and good foods. I also need to force myself to go to bed earlier (I'm a night owl) because it impacts progesterone.
@erbear84, I too am coming into my November FET from a Chemical Pregnancy.
This cycle started 6 days after I found out that my September transfer was a CP. I went in the next day for a beta to make sure that my levels were negative. That day they were 7 (under 5 is considered negative) because it had gone down so much in a week and was very nearly negative they gave me the go ahead to start my estrace and then come back in a week (yesterday) for another beta. Yesterday it was 0 so that confirms that as long as my lining is good next week (I only have one monitoring US in my protocol) we are good to do the transfer. Right now it's tentatively scheduled for 11/6!

I was on the October FET board but I just received my protocol and the FET will happen in the third week of November, so hello! This is going to be my second FET. trigger warning*** first FET resulted in my son***end
This time around I’m so ill prepared for the transfer. I wanted to exercise, eat better and take extra supplements but I haven’t done any. I haven’t done any acupuncture but I’m going to start this Friday. I haven’t missed my meds at least and I call it a win.

I'm excited to be apart of the November group. I go this Friday, November 1st for my baseline ultrasound and bloodwork. If every things looks good I will start estradiol . I am just ready to start this cycle. I wish everyone good luck!!!
@cashewchickenI hear you about not having time to keep to the healthy protocol. I have it all down on paper, but in reality it's hard to adhere. I mean, I did exercise in the past month, but slipped on the healthy eating part a bit, haven't gone to acupuncture yet
November is almost here! Good luck to all the ladies who are transferring soon!
@sarahroses I’m sorry that you’ve been having stressful situations. I’m having one too, with an illness in the family, and of course, ttc. It’s hard to relax through this journey but hoping November will be a great month for all of us!

We are go for transfer on Wednesday (the 6th)! It was still up in the air until today. Last Wednesday, I had my lining check US and while I had a trilaminar lining, there was a scant amount of fluid in my uterus so I had a followup today to see if the fluid was gone, and it was!

@marfi236 Yay! That’s exciting! Wishing you a smooth and successful transfer!
Had an acupuncture last Friday and it was so nice and calming. My US and bloodwork are next Monday. Just started estrogen patches and have been doing lupron shots for over a week now. Things are happening! Eeek!

@marfi236 how exciting!! Ill be sending prayers and positive vibes your way on Wednesday!!
@cashewchicken I was also started on Lupron last thursday! Things are definitely moving along and it’s exciting. My transfer date to far is still scheduled for the last wednesday of November, hoping it stays that way!
Hey ladies! Good luck to all of you on your fets! I will also be doing fet this month. I also have been doing acupuncture and plan on doing it before and after transfer. I am so nervous bc after last month's retrieval, we only ended up with 1 embryo so hoping that its all we need. Only on day 3 of estrogen and go back on tues to see the next step. @marfi236 how are you feeling after your transfer? Anyone else transfering soon?
@bobella22 I’m doing pretty good! Just trying to stay busy so I don’t think about it! I think I’ll test some time this coming week! My beta is scheduled for the 18th!

@sarahroses good luck on your transfer this week! @marfi236 Testing this week? That’s exciting! Hoping you have a BFP! @faithfullywaiting3 hoping we both get good US results so that we get to transfer this month!
My US is tomorrow! So excited. Hopefully the lining looks good (I think that’s what they are checking?) and bloodwork comes back great, too. The first FET went smoothly but I’m always afraid that it might be different this time around (I’m 41, so hopefully aging doesn’t have any negative affect on this process...)

Good luck, ladies, on the transfers, ultrasounds and betas! Do any of you ladies do acupuncture a few days/ one week after the transfer? I was told it's beneficial, but I don't know...
@marfi236 glad to hear transfer went well!! sending positive vibes your way for the 18th!!! @sarahroses so exciting!! I think I’ll be doing acupuncture the day before and the day of transfer (after transfer is done) after that my acupuncture doctor’s protocol is on day 3 and day 5 post transfer, I ran it by my RE and he was okay with that too, good luck and hoping you get a BFP! @cashewchicken I had an US and blood work on the 7th and everything looks good so far, my next US and blood work is scheduled for 11/21, hoping that too goes well so that I’m set for the 27th 😊 How'd your ultrasound go?
@sarahroses & @mari236 so exciting! Do either of you plan on testing before beta? How are the rest of you ladies feeling?I have my 2nd ultrasound today and hopefully will get a transfer date so I can take off of work.
So I thought my transfer would be on 11/22 but now they are booked and will have to wait until 11/29 . One more week of waiting booooo.... but im very excited
@sarahroses I continued to visit my acupuncturist for a month or so after my last successful FET. I plan to do the same this time.
@faithfullywaiting3 My US and bloodwork went great! Lining at 9mm and ovaries are suppressed, so it’s on track! Congrats on your US too! Hoping BFP for everyone! @bobella22 Oh boo to another week of waiting!

Does anyone have any issues with estrogen patches? I remember my last FET, the estrogen patches were unbearable toward the end, but this time I’m super itchy pretty much from day 2 of starting my patches. Dry skin? I don’t know. So so itchy that I’m scratching my abdomen all the time, even when I’m out in public. And my belly is red...

Oh no @marfi236 I hope it's just early and you get a positive in the next few days. 🙏 @cashewchicken I haven't had experience with patches as im doing the estrogen pills. Maybe you can switch over to the pills.
@marfi236 i’m with @bobella22, it could just be too early, keeping my fingers crossed for you!! 🙏🏼 @cashewchicken, I also haven’t had any experience with the estrogen patch, but i hope it either gets better for you or they’re able to switch you to something else
@sarahroses I think it depends on the dosage. I had a natural FET with my son (so triggered, 5 days later did a transfer) and was still getting positives 5 days after that (so 10 days after trigger) they were gradually getting lighter and then around 7/8 days post transfer they started getting darker again
@marfi236 Like what others said, it could just be too early. Although some tests say you can test as early as a few days before the expected period (in our case 9dp5dt), most recommend testing as much as one week after. So it could just be too early to test. Hoping for BFP! @bobella22 Is there any side effect to oral estrogen? The patches have no side effect besides the irritation at the site of application so I don’t know.
I’m finally getting my last set of medications for FET from my online pharmacy, which is my insurance company’s preferred pharmacy. Working with them hasn’t been easy. For the last FET, I didn’t know so I went with my local pharmacy and ended up paying a lot of $ out of pocket as my insurance company refused to cover some of the medication purchased outside of their preferred pharmacy. This time I did end up saving a lot of money but oh boy they made me jump through hoops to get the medication. Not sure if it was worth the mental anguish though.

@sarahroses dont give up hope! TW i have had 6 chemicals and i was sure the cycle that produced my son was another chemical too because it took forever to get a strong positive and my initial beta was 20 but then the next time they checked it was 200.
you might have a late implanter that is “lazy” initially like i did 🤣
@cashewchicken no I haven't noticed any side effects besides feeling bloated/ more tired than usual. How are the rest of you ladies doing? I'm 10 days away from transfer and it can't come soon enough
Yay @faithfullywaiting3 so exciting! Ive been trying to stay positive as well. Feels good not to worry about follicles growing and very few dr apts. Im starting suppository progesterone sunday and im alittle worried that they wont work as well as the shots. What are you ladies given?
@bobella22 I’m transferring this Thursday eeeek!!! I’m surprised that I haven’t completely missed my meds considering everything that’s going on in my life right now. Sometimes I wonder if this is a good time to be doing FET, but focusing on it has been a welcome distraction for me and my husband. I’m also doing progesterone suppositories. My first FET was 4 days of PIO followed by progesterone suppositories and ***TW*** the cycle was successful and I now have a 19-mo old son ***end*** This time I’m on 2 days of PIO and then suppositories and I also requested to switch from compounded progesterone to endometrin. Hoping everything works. I have acupuncture tomorrow and after the transfer.

Do any of you ladies do acupuncture a few days/ one week after the transfer? I was told it's beneficial, but I don't know...
How are the rest of you ladies feeling?I have my 2nd ultrasound today and hopefully will get a transfer date so I can take off of work.
@bobella22 Oh boo to another week of waiting!

@cashewchicken I haven't had experience with patches as im doing the estrogen pills. Maybe you can switch over to the pills.

TW i have had 6 chemicals and i was sure the cycle that produced my son was another chemical too because it took forever to get a strong positive and my initial beta was 20 but then the next time they checked it was 200.
you might have a late implanter that is “lazy” initially like i did 🤣
How are the rest of you ladies doing?
I'm 10 days away from transfer and it can't come soon enough

Anyone else at the testing stage? My advice to me would be to not test until at least before beta.
@cashewchicken good luck on your transfer! Hope all went well.
@faithfullywaiting3 your transfer coming up next week too right?
