  @jennv0701 I'm so sorry you have anxiety about this and hope everything goes smoothly this time. The idea to have a stepstool is a great one, our bed is really high which makes things super difficult.

  So I was reading Ina May's Childbirth book and she was talking about when getting a c-section how to make sure you're getting two layers stitched up rather than one. She said that they've been doing one stitch but it can add to complications in the future. Does anyone know if this is common practice?

  @brookert615 what layer of tissue is she referring to? My OBs do two layers of suturing on the uterus.
