Trying to Get Pregnant

WAYDTGKU: BBT, tracking CF, using FF, OPKs, prenatals

R/R: Is it just me or has this week dragged on for anyone else? TGIF! My parents are coming for dinner tonight! DH prepped chicken broccoli alfredo stuffed shells last night and they're all cooked so all we have to do is pop them in the oven and heat them through when we get home from work. There only downside to him prepping dinner last night is that I was falling asleep on the couch at 9:30 and went to bed before he did so we didn't get a chance to HIO last night.

CS/Q: I had to pee at 2am, so SUE ME, FF

    WAYDTGKU: BBT, CM

R/R: heading to Memphis tonight after work! Weekend getaway w/ my awesome SIL and I’m so excited. Road triiip!

Tried to figure out how to vaginally temp this morning. It took three tries in my sleepy state, and I realized the last time that I just can’t hear the beep from under the covers. MH was trying to snuggle as we woke up and I’m like... just give me a minute 😑  by the time I finally got a recording it was 1 degree higher than yesterday

    CS/Q:

  • @saladflambe yay for O day! I hope we don’t get to see you again over here after your switch to TWW 😉

@gingermama29 Um yeah, we are the same person, because I ALWAYS fall asleep in the couch and then get in bed before MH lol. Have an amazing dinner with your fam! I agree, that sounds delicious!
  • Month/Cycle: 9/7

CD: -1 or 1 we will see how the day goes

    WAYDTGKU: apparently not enough

R/R: Stuck at a train this morning, but at least its giving me time to bump. I'm feeling very defeated with TTC. At this point I feel like I'm just putting in the time until H gets on board with going back in for testing again. He told me I can go in, but he wont do an SA right now. *TW* MC & LO mentioned

He said he won't do an SA because he doesn't need to because he has gotten me pregnant twice before (once ended in MMC).

We also have an MFI diagnosis and were told we would need to move to IVF since his count was too low to be successful with an IUI. I just wish we knew where it was at now. Maybe its improved and we could do IUI now? I just feel like its pointless for just me to go in for testing when my testing showed nothing last time. I mean I know that can change, but we cant move forward with anything without an SA either.  That took me too long for the train so I'm now at my office. Sorry for the dear diary. Need coffee.

  • @millpe ugh, I am so sorry that your husband is making this even harder. Those spouse disagreements about this stuff are so hard! We also had a long back-and-forth about mh’s sa. It’s so hard to know when and how much to push to get him to come around, but I hope he does soon. Hugs!
  • @saladflambe yay for O day!!!

@singing_koala oh your weekend sounds so fun! Enjoy Memphis! And I have the same problem with not being able to hear my thermometer under the covers. I usually wait a minute or two and then check it.

@millpe sorry you're back over here and feeling defeated. I'm sorry YH is making it harder too. Hugs to you.

@gingermama29 your dinner for tonight sounds delicious!! Hope you have a great evening with your parents! That’s stinks you missed HIO last night, but hopefully you can tonight! Any signs of O for you yet?

@saladflambe yay for O day!! You should have some good timing with getting it in today too!

@singing_koala hope you have an awesome weekend on your girls trip! Is this the trip that includes a proper tea? Can’t wait to hear about that!

@millpe so sorry for CD1 and the feeling of defeat! Hope YH gets on board soon to get a SA, just so you know the best course of action going forward! Sending hugs! 💜 Hope you get a big ole cup of coffee this morning!

@kpearse99 yay, that is so exciting!! ☺️ I know after last cycle being the one that would never end, it has to feel nice to know that O will happen!! So glad timing is going to work out for the IUI! I have everything crossed that this is your cycle!!

  • @kpearse99 yay!!!!! I am so happy to hear your follies kept growing!! Continuing to cross everything for you this cycle!!
  • @bluetickgal OPKs are getting darker but still registering as low, so hopefully soon!

@bluetickgal Girl, that's exactly right!! Last cycle was SUCH a mess of a rollercoaster (like one that you get one thinking it would be great and then as soon as it starts you get jerked around and your head hits the sides and gives you a nasty headache and then you get sick from being tossed and turned so much and you just can't wait for it to be over....) that I told myself my only want, goal and expectation for this medicated IUI cycle was to just be able to O! No matter the outcome of this IUI I will just be happy that we were able to give it a solid shot!  Thanks for sticking with me through it all <3

    @gingermama29 thanks, friend!!!

  • @gingermama29 yes, hope it’s soon for you!

@kpearse99 I think that’s a great outlook! That’s how I’m trying to look at this next cycle too...I of course want to get KU, but if I can just have a normal length cycle and O...that would be a win!! I hate that you’ve had to be on the horrible roller coaster, but I’m glad I could be here to hopefully add some encouragement or at least commiserate!

I love The Good Place, so had to go with this one!

I totally forgot to finish my R/R...but I really don’t have much going on! Just so excited we have almost made it to the weekend! And it looks like the hurricane chance for vacation next week is low, so that’s a plus!
  • @bluetickgal the Good Place is such a good show!!  And that's great news about the hurricane chance!! Let's hope it stays that way!

@millpe how long ago was the first SA? Things change over time so if enough time has passed it'll probably be required to determine the best treatment

@kpearse99 I think I am leaning towards taking a "break" until after Christmas. I just don't even know how to take a break. I'm thinking just not even tracking anything next month and see how I feel.

  • @inthewoods23 I’m glad CD1 has arrived so you can proceed with testing! Did you say you will probably try on your own this cycle as well? The RPL testing does seem a bit odd, unless they think it will point them to something that could have prohibited implantation or they just want to rule out any further issues. I meant to send you the sheet I got from my RE about RPL testing the other night and then totally forgot! Hope you get some clarity on all of that soon!

@millpe sounds good! I got a second cup earlier...it was decaf, but I still think it gives me more energy, and it definitely makes me happier! ☺️
  • @bluetickgal I do wonder if she meant RIF but said RPL? And yeah, if I'm not put on BC then I think we'll just try to attempt in the FW but not too seriously. I might get put on BC in December as the start of the FET cycle. November is the repeat mock transfer with the receptivity testing.

  • @inthewoods23 ah, could be! I just looked up RIF to see what that means, and found an article that references both RPL & RIF...so maybe the testing is the same or at least there is some overlap. Sounds like a good plan, would be nice to be able to try if you aren’t on BC. If you don’t mind me asking, how does the mock transfer work?
  • @bluetickgal basically they insert the catheter and they measure how far in the catheter goes. I think they do US with it too (funny that I can't remember already) so they sorta see where within the uterus it would get placed. Takes just a few minutes.

Super TMI now, but I read that AF after a failed FET can be worse than usual with the meds helping build the lining and ew they were not kidding about the amount of clots.... 😬🤮 Both fascinating and gross.

  • @inthewoods23 that makes sense! In my head, I was thinking...do they actually transfer something? 🤦🏼‍♀️ When I looked up RIF, I did see what the receptivity test is, so at least I know that now too! Sorry about the heavy/clotty AF!

R/R: on the yay side for today I got new batteries for my thermometer so I can go back to tracking my non-existent cycle, also it’s the weekend! I got some blood drawn today so maybe they can at least tell me if I’m just still regulating after the iud or if something is abnormal. I’m just really glad to maybe get some answers.

    CS/Q: none today

    @gingermama29: that sounds delicious!

@saladflambe: yay for O! Enjoy life on the other side and fingers crossed to not see you back.

@singing_koala: Have fun in Memphis. My mom actually just moved there last week.

@millipe: have you tried just telling him that while you know nothing is wrong with him you can’t move forward without the doctor ruling him out (even if you don’t believe it). It can take men a really long time to accept that they may not be perfect. He may just be scared.

@kpearse99: fingers crossed so hard that this IUI is the one! You deserve it. Sending my good vibes this week to you.

@bluetickgal: I hope your never ending cycle regulates soon and you can start having real cycles.

@inthewoods23: my first period after my iud got out I held so much I thought for sure I was gonna die lol so I get it.

  • @becklookatherbump I'm glad you got some blood work done today!! That should hopefully give you some answers as to where you are in your cycle.

  • @singing_koala I hope you have an amazing road trip!

@millpe I'm gonna be honest & say I don't understand your husband's logic... and my gut instinct is to be irritated at him, because it sounds like he's sort of leaving you to "figure it out" on your own, and that's ...well, that's s**tty... :( I'm sorry you're feeling so down.

@kpearse99 I have everything crossed for the IUI working!

@bluetickgal I hope you also have a great weekend!

@inthewoods23 I hope the testing provides some answers

@beckylookatherbump I hope you also get some answers from your bloodwork

R/R: Ok, so I used my very first OPK ever this morning. I bought the Clearblue digital ones that give you the smiley face if your fertile 🙂. So I used it this morning and I was not expecting much and that I would get a blank face which is low fertile. Well, I looked at the test after and got the peak fertile face right away which means I’m supposed to O in 24-36 hours.. say what!? 😳 I just finished my period 2 days ago. I googled this and it says that it can happen and that some women are super fertile and ovulate right after ending AF. FF says I’m not supposed to O till CD 14 which is in a week. I’m sooo confused lol. 🤷‍♀️ Has anyone else ever had this happened? And O early in their cycle? I guess me and DH will be HIO all weekend. No wonder I’m not getting KU. I have been totally missing O and most fertile days completely. We will see what happens.

    CS/Q: none

@kpearse99 hey girl. Hope all goes well with IUI on Monday.

@saladflambe yay for O day 😁 and you crack me up haha Glad your enjoying HIO in the middle of the day better.

@gingermama29 I hope you have a good dinner with your parents. Dinner sounds delicious 😋

@singing_koala Have a great fun time on your road trip to Memphis.☺️

  • @inthewoods23 no I’m not temping at all. Right!.? It seems sooo strange. It was odd and I wasn’t expecting that this morning. Are OPK’s super accurate? As today was my first time ever using one and I got that lol.
  • @mindyb2019 I know the digital ones are a bit different in what the display tells you compared to what the lines are when you take the strip out. This might be a really good question for the questions thread!

  • @kpearse99 hmmm. That’s weird you had 3. How do you know which one is actual O? Ok thanks for letting me know. It’s good to know that. I am going to HIO just in case. I can’t use the OPK for the next couple days as the peak smily face stays on the screen for at least 48 hours and you can’t use any new test sticks at that time until it’s gone away and the screen goes blank. When should I use it again? next cycle or like a few days from now? I’m sooo confused 🤷‍♀️

@inthewoods23 I took the strip out and looked at it and the 2 lines were really dark and matched what would be on the display so I’m not sure.

  • @mindyb2019 I actually did NOT O last cycle... despite having 3 peak surges and showing an LH surge on bloodwork 😞 I’m not sure how the clearblue OPKs work, i used ones you can take everyday or twice a day.
