@kbrown2385@leprechaunlady@amb0924 I've been on oral iron since I was 16 (gastro absorption issues due to Celiac). Anyways it's made me more constipated but stool softener regularly has made a world of difference. Don't be scared to use it!
@amb0924 dh messaged his OB friend last night (who delivered dd) to ask him about the iron as he wasnt finding any guidelines for it in his own work stuff & here it seems that its protocol to supplement it for higher risk pregnancies of any sort. So i need to call in a perscription today for it.
@amb0924 I'd take the iron supplement. Anemia is associated with low birth weight and premature delivery. Not everyone is affected in the same way, in terms of constipation. Stool softeners, extra fiber, extra water all help.
All last night and today so far I’ve had temps at 101 with Tylenol, midwife told me to go to my doctor to see what infection it can be. I feel awful I was really hoping she would say to go to the hospital to check hydration.
@c1kc1kpol1cn1k I haven't had a fever, but my OB was very clear that fevers are taken extra seriously when pregnant and that I was to notify them immediately if I got one.
@c1kc1kpol1cn1k if the family doc is concerned about hydration they will send you to the hospital. But do ask just to make sure while you are there. Hope they figure it out!
@c1kc1kpol1cn1k hope you’re feeling better! Did the dr have any ideas for you?
Why on earth am I still dry heaving? I spent a good part of the day fighting nausea and hovering around the bathroom in case I felt the need. I want it to end 😩
@c1kc1kpol1cn1k Oh man, I’m sorry about the fever. Being sick and pregnant is scary. Hope they figure out what’s wrong.
@kbrown2385 Ugh, I was sick, puking and dry heaving my entire 2nd and 3rd pregnancy. With this one, I’m only that way super early in the morning and when I brush my teeth. Hope your nausea is over pretty soon.
So today, shit got real at work. It was hot and humid (for my area). I was drinking water like I usually do (I carry a 40oz vacuum sealed water bottle around with me all day so I stay hydrated) but I was most definitely sweating faster than I was drinking. So by about 1:00 pm I was starting to have cramps and contractions. Really freaked me out. Luckily I have a co-worker who is also pregnant and she was able to talk me down from a melt down. While my rational mind knows that when stuff like this happens, there are steps you need to take before going straight to the hospital, but my preggo mind was jumping to all the worst case scenarios. Happy to report I went on my break, hung out in the lounge, put my feet up and slammed a bunch of cool water and was feeling a whole lot better. Moral of the story, if you think you’re drinking enough water while outside in the heat, make sure to drink some more.
Thank you all, dr says it’s just a virus and to continue Tylenol. After lying in bed for two days I believe I swear it all out and temp is down now. Feeling better no major headaches but I’ll do one more day in bed probably. Sorry for being MIA but I can barely look at a screen ❤️
Re: August Symptoms
has anyone else had a temp this pregnancy yet ?
