    #2

    Month/Cycle?
    1/1

    WTO/TWW?
I'm still classifying myself as WTO, but I am hopeful that I've already ovulated. Cycle day 16. Period due on the 7th-ish. I think. I always get it around the 10th of the month. The 7th would be 28 days from the first day of my last period, so...yeah. I'm usually very regular, so there's that.

    Ages of other child(ren)?
    Emma is 3 years old.

    Any thoughts about this cycle?
Not really. I'm not temping this cycle & wish I was, but I am forcing myself to relax. I will temp next cycle for sure though.

    Any questions?
    no

    Rant/Rave/Brag:
Huge brag lol - DH is taking DD to the beach w/ his family - leaving Thursday evening. I am not going this year. This means I will be getting 3 DAYS TO MYSELF......... feeling guilty, but also ridiculously excited.

GTKY: What is your favorite inspirational quote, or what is one you found recently that has stayed with you?
“Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are. Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart. Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow. Let me hold you while I may, for it may not always be so. One day I shall dig my nails into the earth, or bury my face in the pillow, or stretch myself taut, or raise my hands to the sky and want, more than all the world, your return.”

  • @m6agua like the big sister shirt idea! Never thought of that. DD turns 2 in October, that may be too soon with wishful thinking for me though. That is so great about your DD and the potty! Will be starting mine on one soon. She is still learning how to walk. She is a bit delayed. Also, love your quote❤

@gingermama29 Strange about your DD waking up odd hours. Mine has been doing that too lately. She will not go to sleep at her regular time and will wake up randomly crying or babbling to herself. Must be teeth coming in for both. I had thought maybe mine had a headache the other day when she woke up scream-crying from a nap, but wasn't sure. Lots of growing happening at these ages, gotta be tough for them.

@kpearse99 Hope you got some good timing in even though YH is not well. Hope he feels better soon. Where is your quote from? It sounds familiar.

@saladflambe Days to yourself, enjoy!!! I enjoy an evening to myself, that doesn't happen very often.

  • What number are you trying for? #2

    Month/Cycle? 12/13/1 AL #2

    WTO/TWW? Currently self-benched

Ages of other child(ren)? 22 months but delayed to being born early.

Any thoughts about this cycle? Nothing really. Sad that I benched myself, but I feel it was for the best. Next cycle is going to be great!!!

    Any questions? Don't think so.

Rant/Rave/Brag: Holidays start this Friday! Nervous to be flying for the first time with a child and sad we have to leave our dog behind, but its going to be fun! My friend's wedding is on Saturday and then we will be camping in a spot MH used to go to as a child and just knows I'm going to love it. First vacation as a trio also.

GTKY: What is your favorite inspirational quote, or what is one you found recently that has stayed with you?
"Get busy livin' or get busy dying" from my favourite movie! Guess what it is!
  • @kpearse99 I love your quote. I'm sorry this cycle has been such a roller coaster for you. I'm crossing my fingers that your B/W shows O for you this time!

@saladflambe enjoy the time to yourself!

@ottergirl81 FX for a smooth flight with your LO! Sounds like it'll be a fun weekend.
  • @jrouge12 Like your DD, hope mine gets tired out enough camping that she just passes out when bedtime rolls around. That would be ideal. Hope you had good timing this cycle.

@bows22 That quote from the book you're reading is great, it makes sense. I like it.
  • @m6agua That's so awesome about your DD going on the big potty! That's a huge step. Also I already have a Big brother shirt for my DS because I was so optimistic last cycle. Sigh.

@gingermama29 I hope your O date becomes clear and you join the TWW! I wish I had advice about your DD's sleep but I'm pretty lost in the sleep department.

@kpearse99 You are such a positive person, I love it!

@saladflambe Enjoy the time to yourself!! What do you have planned?

@ottergirl81 We are flying this weekend too, good luck!!

@jrouge12 Glad you had a good time camping and DD did well!

What number are you trying for? 2

    Month/Cycle? 6/4

    WTO/TWW? TWW

Ages of other child(ren)? 15 months

Any thoughts about this cycle? I'm doing okay right now, relatively calm and somewhat optimistic, but I know the BSC is coming soon.

Any questions? I am flying with DS on Saturday morning (so freaking early) - our flight leaves at 5:20 AM. So I will need to wake him up at least a little before 4 AM. He usually sleeps until 6:30-7 AM. I figured that flight would be better than pushing bedtime back three hours. Anyway, I'm wondering if his schedule will be completely thrown off and if he will be miserable all weekend. We are new to this whole "schedule" thing, anyone done anything similar?

Rant/Rave/Brag: I'm excited for the weekend but I'm already pooped thinking about it as it's one of this quick trips that won't feel too relaxing. :P I am leaving DS with my in-laws for 2 days and I'm a little nervous about that as I've never spent the night away from him...

GTKY: What is your favorite inspirational quote, or what is one you found recently that has stayed with you?

    "This too shall pass"
  • @jrouge12 ugh I really feel like my plans to HIO tonight isn't going to work out either!!  :s  Summer really did fly by, didn't it?!  Ugh - I also need to work on the "go with the flow" part of your quote!

@bows22 I hate to tell you - but 2's are NOTHING compared to 3's!!!  I also found with DS that if I explained his options, even at a younger age, we could avoid the "refusing to take no for an answer phase".  Like, if that was him over the escalator I would give him options of he can either: 1) Stand on the escalator and hold my hand, 2) I can hold him on the escalator or 3) we don't go on.  And then he got to pick which one.  I think with that age it's all about being able to make the decisions, not necessarily pushing the boundaries or testing the limits ya know?  So if you give them the impression that THEY are making the decision, out of the safe options you provided, it could (hopefully) avoid a meltdown!

@rachelg777 Oh I've had my moments here of NOT being positive (like the last two cycles.. I was stuck in a rut and it sucked!) But I do try very hard to find the positive and good in every situation. My best friends favorite quote is that one!!
As for the schedule thing - I've been very big on keeping DS on a schedule, even now at 7 we still have our routines, but I did learn that kids are pretty resilient and they will adjust their schedule as needed sometimes. I think your DS will be wide awake on the plane, not overly tired and cranky so that's good - you picked a good time to fly - and will probably crash for a nap once you get in the car to drive.  Which will be a good refresher for him.  Then he'll be so excited taking in the new surroundings that you should hardly notice a change in behavior. Stick to you bedtime for him though, if you can - as it will help with the next day!

  • @kpearse99 Thank you!! I am writing out his bedtime and nap routine for my in laws so I really hope he does okay with them putting him down (plus in new surroundings). He has had to be pretty adaptable as a kid just between two moves and several different caregivers/daycares so I’m hoping that helps.
  • @gingermama29 I'm glad DD slept in this morning! I hope this phase of wake ups ends soon. Also, I LOVE Wicked!
@kpearse99 I've been following your posts about your cycle and I honestly was thinking that you were getting a false surge that first time. I just had a feeling based on your recent longer cycles and I just thought that seemed early to O, even with meds. I'm sorry I didn't say anything sooner. FX that you did finally O and you don't have to go back for another cycle.
@saladflambe Girl, enjoy that alone time!
@ottergirl81 I'm sorry about being benched this cycle. I hope it goes quickly. Enjoy your vacation!
@jrouge12 It is amazing how much you can learn about your cycle from temping! I'm glad camping went well.
@bows22 Sorry about the toddler melt down. It is rough.
@rachelg777 Just here to say good luck during the flight. I am hoping that your son will fall asleep on the car ride and in the airport. Do you babywear? I usually can get DD to sleep in the carrier.

  • @kpearse99 I left some details out because the story got so long haha, but I did say that we could ride it if mommy could hold her and she agreed for the ride up but then the ride down she wanted to stand on her own. I said no for down but then was going to let her try going up. But then she wanted to climb (with her hands on the steps) so I was like okay we’re done. I do try to remember (because of tips from moms like you who remind me!) to give her options,  but when I’m alone with her I have this fear of losing control of the safety of the situation so I’m overly cautious.

Sorry for posting and ghosting today, I’m going to go back through and reply once DD is in bed, WTO was crazy today and I couldn’t get through both threads!
  • @kpearse99 Thank you for all the advice for giving options to young ones and for the sleep schedule. DD is on a schedule for sleep and eating so that she gets it all in in a 24 hour period. Flying around noon is a bit of an issue, but we figure we will all adjust. Good luck with your flight @rachelg777
  • @m6agua oh goodness, don’t be sorry!! It all makes sense looking back at my last few schedules. I’ve been so new to the OPK game that I’ve stopped checking after I got anything that looked remotely like a peak, i now know I should have kept testing to be sure. I’m curious what my numbers will be tomorrow on my BW! I’m so grateful to have all of you to bounce thoughts and ideas off of!

@ottergirl81 that’s what we are all here for, right?! To offer tips and advice! ♥️♥️

@m6agua I plan out stuff like that almost every month, and it’s definitely the months where the plan is really good that hurts a little harder. I love the birthday present idea, I hope so much that you’ll get to do it! And your story about DD asking to go on the potty is so exciting! I bet that was a really special moment!

@gingermama29 I def think FF is wrong. Maybe once you have some more temps it will shift the CH. But I think you can feel good about your timing!

@kpearse99  you have definitely been on a rollercoaster. I’m glad you are still feeling positive even if it is a choice you are making! I hope YH feels better soon.

@saladflambe yes! Enjoy your alone time!

@ottergirl81 enjoy your first trio vacation! You guys are going to have a blast!

@jrouge12 I’m glad you are still going to have good timing even though your cycle isn’t how you expected.

@rachelg777  I try to stick to our schedule as best I can when we are away. We did let DD stay up later on vacation and it was fine. We had some issues with bedtime when we got home (she wanted to be rocked to sleep for a couple of nights) but we’re past it. I’m sure it will be hard to leave your DS overnight for the first time! My mom is the only one who has watched DD overnight so far and she watches her 2 days a week so she doesn’t need instruction. I would be stressed too but I’m sure it will be fine and your ILs are going to love it!!

    Edit spelling
  • @m6agua I do babywear but I'm waffling between that and my travel stroller since I'll have a layover and it's nice to keep him contained if I end up having to wait at all. But... it's just another thing to carry and worry about so I'm still debating!

@bows22 Thanks, that's helpful. You're right, he will probably adjust fine and it will be better than I expect. I just hope my IL's follow the schedule!  :D
  • My baby started 2nd grade today :'(:D  How on earth did this happen?!?!

  • @rachelg777 I hope you can take advantage of the IL visit and get a fun date night out of it?

@kpearse99 I haven’t seen it, any chance my H would like it or is it really just directed at moms?

I hope everyone has a great holiday weekend! We are off to a great start. I’m off so we went to story time at the library, to yoga, and out to lunch! DD and I shared a milkshake after lunch to celebrate the end of the summer. She had no idea what it was but when I gave her a drink her eyes got big and she said “eye peam!” really softly like she was just so amazed that it was a drink made of ice cream. I feel bad now that DH missed her reaction, it was so sweet. We had such a nice day but I’m exhausted now. Sometimes I worry that if/when we have another I won’t ever leave the house again without DH!

YES to working moms! I am loving it. Kate makes me laugh so hard.

@bows22 You read my mind! I think this definitely calls for a date night. :)

ETA @bows22 Your DD's reaction to a milkshake is sooooo cute I love it. I just wish we could like bottle up those little moments and replay them forever.
  • The Letdown is also really good.

  • What number are you trying for? Trying for #2

    Month/Cycle? 5/5

    WTO/TWW? TWW

    Ages of other child(ren)? 3yr

Any thoughts about this cycle? I feel good about this cycle... I've been SS like crazy but I feel confident about this one.

Any questions? What do y'all recommend for BBT thermometers and tracking apps. If this isn't the cycle I want to be prepared for my next one.

Rant/Rave/Brag: Not sure this is a rant or a rave just something I want to ask/say. My first pregnancy was not planned. I had an IUD and found out I was pregnant at 11.5 weeks after they accidentally mixed up my results with someone else's and had told me I wasn't pregnant when I had gone in. I am really struggling with the TTC and it's only 5 months in. I know it's unreasonable, but I feel like I'm doing something wrong. Anyone else TTC for the first time even though you're TFAS?

GTKY: What is your favorite inspirational quote, or what is one you found recently that has stayed with you?
