How are you feeling?: Pretty good. Went camping this weekend and I ended up with plenty of bug bites around my ankles...ugh!
Rants/Raves: Just found out that Obstetrics at my local hospital, where I had my first baby, is closing at the end of September. I got to find out through an article in the newspaper, and didn't hear from my provider until 2 hours after the press release. Ugh!!!!!

How are you feeling?: Tired and starting to get some achey stretching feelings in my lower abdomen. I also gained like 3 lbs this week and now look visably pregnant to anyone who sees me.
Rants/Raves: I dont have much this week. We are leaving on vacation on Saturday! I have a full busy schedule this week at work leading up to it though

How are you feeling?: lots of pressure still, it overall fine.
Rants/Raves: I think I started feeling baby move. Not completely sure but i dont know what else it would be.

I've done 10 places in 10 days type of travel and it sucked. It's just too much in my opinion. I need more time to relax and enjoy.

Upcoming appointments: Aug 19th for a/s!! Can't wait. Last appointment we got to hear the heartbeat using doppler. So awesome.
Feeling ok, but a bit uncomfortable bending over and don't anything really. I keep wanting to eat tons.. But I probably just need to drink more water.. especially since my weight gain is a bit ahead of schedule.
Rants/raves: Work is really getting tough to cope with. I'm definitely having a hard time focusing. That's all I'll say about that!
Questions: When does the doctor start measuring your belly? I feel like I've grown so fast this week!
Definitely ten days in one place. I like to take my time and enjoy.

How are you feeling?: mostly ok but I get bouts of absolute wrecked tiredness. Im also starting to feel massive.
Rants/Raves: people are starting to comment on how massive my bump is. Wtf makes people think that its ok to comment on someones size in any situation 😡 also im only coming up 18 weeks, im going to get a hell of a lot bigger!

How are you feeling?: feeling ok, hips and sciatic pain is really ramping up. I’m nervous I guess subconsciously about the ultrasound because I keep having bad dreams about it. This is the first one that DH and DD will be coming too so I’m excited for that and the support!
Rants/Raves: DD has been sick most of the weekend with a temperature, so we’re staying home again today, I think we had too much fun in the sun for her.
Questions: is anyone having sciatic or hip pain yet? How are you all sleeping? I’m in a constant battle of numb hips.

if I was younger potentially 10 places 10 days hahhah. I’ve done 4 places in 4 days in one country and it was pretty good. 1 place for 10 days sounds good but I would want to explore the area

@alicia__e so awesome you are feeling baby move! Also I think it’s a bit of both. We had more people in this group before but some have disappeared. Also the conversation is minimal since not many people are interacting or responding to others questions. More just posting their update and that’s it. I still like it for now since we are so far a head in this pregnancy for example to that of week 4. Keep in mind it’s summer and people are ok vacation etc

@Limes030 I’m not sure on the measuring but I remember maybe around the 22/24 week mark potentially?
I've been so busy with work that I have not been as active as I would like. I also hate the app and am only on a real computer during the day.

How are you feeling?: good good! no real symptoms, just in limbo waiting to feel some baby kicks.. i think i do sometimes but then i think maybe its just my projection
Rants/Raves: the belly kinda made a pop last week so im definitely showing more and its getting harder to hide at work
Questions: I'm in a bit of a pickle, since Ive been up for promotion for the last few mos. I was told we would know by end of July, so i thought I could wait. Now I just found out they may not announce until end of Aug, which likely means early Sept, and its all dependent on what projects are approved for next year. There have been a few rounds of cuts and I know I'm still in the running, so i'm reluctant to tell my manager until I know for sure as word spreads quickly here. My DH thinks we should continue to wait as long as I can reasonably hide the bump, but its getting trickier. I know legally and technically they cant hold the upcoming maternity leave (Im planning to take 4 1/2 mos) against me but I still cant help but think it would be factored in. thoughts?

@mama_stef that’s so tough! I think a lot depends on your workplace culture. Maybe you could get on top of it and say you remain committed and all that jazz?

Next Appointments is AS on 8/15, with immediate follow up with an MFM (standard for all AMA at my practice)
I’m feeling ok except that I’m starting to have a lot of lower back pain. Might be 40 lb clingy toddler related I’m guessing! Also I am feeling this baby a lot less than I felt my son at this point. I would not be at all surprised to learn that my low lying placenta has become anterior. There’s something happening in there, but it’s quite muffled.

@Limes030 My doc measured my tummy for the first time at my last appt, which was just shy of 16 weeks.
@leprechaunlady Sooo obnoxious. I have a different problem: when they find out I’m expecting/how far along I am, people will comment and say I don’t look pregnant at all even though I am clearly bigger, so my immediate feeling is “oh awesome, so I just look like I’ve gotten fat.”

How are you feeling?: Sciatic pain in my right butt cheek is really getting to me. Heartburn has gotten much worse. I am feeling the baby move a bit more, though still not as much as I’d like!
Rants/Raves: I’ve been so busy this week, and now in-laws (with 2 nieces in tow) just arrived for a long weekend with us, so I have lots of hostess stress going on.
Questions: Have you ladies sworn off salicylic acid/BHA for pregnancy? I read so many conflicting things. My favorite facial cleanser is an AHA/BHA exfoliating cleanser but I’m wondering if I should quit using it.

Upcoming Appointments: I had an OB appointment this past Wednesday that showed that my baby was at an increased risk for Downs Syndrome. I went to get a larger blood test and was able to talk to a genetic counselor for a few minutes. I have another appointment on Thursday with them with the hopes of news that we got a false positive (which happens about 5% of the time)
How are you feeling?: Scared
