We’ve been on vacation this week with my family and it has been so nice and to have Bells spend time with her cousins. So that’s why I’ve been absent but :waves hi:

@leksiL, glad you have been enjoying your vacation! We are going on vacation with my family tomorrow. My DD doesn’t have any cousins but I am glad she can spend time with my brother and parents.
So I told my CEO and HR yesterday about being pregnant and then this morning I announced it to the team and made sure I brought doughnuts. Everyone cheered, I cried. HAHAH! It went a lot better than I thought but it's just a lot of emotion right now and a huge weight off of my chest!
@chipsnsalsa20 we have the smallest book bag from pottery barn. Most of the time there is nothing in it but his lunchbox because they keep extra clothes there. He doesn’t really wear it either anyway... I just carry it in for him.

Between a 5-lb weight gain and this bloat, I officially don’t have to tie my scrub pants at work anymore. I’m not sure what I’m going to do when I actually start getting a bump. I can’t size up because the pants would be too long.
We told my family yesterday that we are expecting. They are so excited. Beats MIL’s reaction of “oh I didn’t think you were having any more”. MIL bugged us about more since DD (who is only 2!) has basically been born and we always said DD was enough to handle. We never said we were never having more. Anyway, glad someone is excited for us.
I don’t buy my own scrubs, work provides them and washes them. Because I work in a birthing center, they are a specific color that only birthing center staff wear (as an added security measure).
I had so much laundry to do because I just haven’t felt like doing anything that I packed it all up this morning and took it to the laundromat. My husband is at home with our daughter, and I feel like I’m on a mini vacation sitting here listening to my headphones and relaxing.
On our way home from vacation. 6 hours trip and we still have 4.5 to go🙈 the almost 3 year old has been a real nightmare but the the 14 month old is doing great aka napping
We decided last night to go fishing and swimming this morning. We should have scouted out a good place because water levels are getting pretty low in Indiana. Water was up 2 weeks ago, but less rain lately. Went to a couple places but too shallow to fish. We had even packed a lunch. So we decided to go check out local trails and have a picnic. Found a good spot with a waterfall and let the kids get wet. Lots of flat rocks for skipping. Water was about knee deep so I didnt have to hover over my kids. My husband took some great pictures with his new phone. Then we went back up to the picnic tables and had lunch. Good memories.
Bells and I took a 5.5 hour train ride yesterday and now we are finally home! I am turning our guest bed into a bed for her so we can clear out the baby's room and get it fixed up! Bells wants to paint it pink haha.

My fave SIL came in Friday and she's in town until tomorrow. We drove up to the Bristol Renaissance Faire and made a little getaway of it (got a hotel, faire, swam dinner out, the works!) It was a lot of fun. DH also got to use the "pregnant wife" excuse! He went to buy drinks and bought one virgin strawberry daiquiri for SIL and me to split. Of course he asked for an extra straw and the guy gave him a little gruff. Dh responded "Okay you can tell my pregnant wife she couldn't have a straw" and the guy shoved 4 straws in there 🤣
@doodleoodle ha! I saw pictures of some of the nurses from the 90s, and they used to have pastel pink pants, and white tops with pastel pink and blue baby footprints. Definitely not what we wear now!
@ibabyloveb87 no it would be impractical to order maternity scrubs in all sizes, and to try to figure out how many of each, and to have them washed and ready every single shift. My unit is quite big.
