Totally random. I can’t believe how long and crazy strong my nails are. I’ve always taken vitamins, but maybe it is the prenatals. I never have nails because they rip and peel so easily.
@urbeloved I’m jealous! I haven’t had long nails in a few years due to working in surgery. And I already have small hands so they look so weird with very short nails. I have carnie hands.
So I was due for a cleaning anyway, so they did that. Apparently there is a small cavity on that same tooth, so they had me make another appointment to take care of the cavity and file my tooth down. I was hoping they could’ve filed it today. Oh well, guess I just won’t smile for the next 4 weeks 🤷🏼♀️
@daffodil_shoe that’s ridiculous. It only takes a second. Is it a big chip? This is probably gross and/or stupid but in my college years I had a small chip and I used a clean emery board to file it down.
@doodleoodle it’s not big enough to need a veneer, and honestly others probably wouldn’t notice. But I notice it and hate it. I would probably start gagging if I used an emery board!
It’s a good thing that I don’t get rid of anything. I haven’t been pregnant in about 5 years, but today I found most of my maternity clothes, a baby wrap, and my Tula!
You guys...I am not good at keeping secrets and it's killing me to not tell coworkers! I planned on telling them next week. Today at a teammates birthday lunch, they asked me if we planned on having kids. I was SO SO close to being like, yeah in February! But I couldn't do it, if it were a normal lunch I would have, but I didn't want to steal the birthday thunder haha.
I think people at my work are getting suspicious of something. But I'm trying to tell my CEO first and he's a bit hard to pin down availability-wise. Once I tell him I will go to HR and then have a meeting with my team which all of it is giving me heart palpitations lol.
@brookert615 oh gosh, that sounds scary! I'm still trying to figure out the best order to tell people. I think I'm going to message the prego coworker and ask her thoughts on order. She's also our team project manager so it could help. I'm just not sure who all I need to tell other than immediate team and HR.
@babyroma I think it goes immediate boss, HR and then you can tell whomever from what I've read LOL. I've had two of my designers tell me first and then I had to tell them both to go to HR. Good luck!!!
@babyroma I also follow what @brookert615 said, for what it’s worth. I wouldn’t want the news to get to my boss before I have a chance to tell him in person. I’m not sure when I’m going to tell. Now is probably a good time, but I’m kind of dreading it since I had my last baby fairly recently. Good luck on breaking the news!
I think I pulled something in my lower back. Probably lifting DS at the pool or something. OUCH. It’s only on one side and only hurts when I bend or lean forward. This is not ok.

My principal called me to tell me I am moving rooms in the school. I then told him I am pregnant. He was silent and definitely shocked. Probably partly because I am starting a new position in my building next year so he didn’t expect a pregnancy and partly because he is so overwhelmed with the shuffling of rooms he has to do. Oh well, now ILs and my principal know. Telling my family Saturday!
The stupid app isn't working again. I'm on my laptop right now, but it's not convenient to use. This is why I stopped using TB when we were TTGP. It shows I'm logged in, and I can view the community, but I can't comment or love tit any comments. I don't remember how I got it to work again last time. Anyone else ever have this problem?
@daffodil_shoe I know it's weird but the workaround that I found was to try to hit "Start Discussion" and it prompted me to "log in" even though in the app I was already logged in. It makes no sense but try it and see if logging in through that prompt helps!
@daffodil_shoe So happy it did! Mine is going back to the blank screen of death on my app. I've been bobbing back and forth between the app and then using the bump in browser and requesting the desktop site lol. Every time they ask how they're doing on the app I write a novel. Unfortunately they have taken none of my suggestions .
Anyone else have a spouse or SO that travels a lot? My husband is gone M-F most weeks. I’m on summer break, and my daughter and I have been spending pretty much 24/7 together. I’m so ready for school to start back up, so we can get a break from each other. 😂
Today's been a stupid day. DH got a parking ticket bc he forgot to move the car for street sweeping. Then I got my wallet pickpocketed at the train station on my way home from work. By some stroke of luck, my debit card and another credit card weren't actually in my wallet so I'm not entirely up sh**creek, but I literally JUST got my new drivers license updated like a month ago. Now I just need to replace that again, my transit card, insurance card, and FSA card...the credit card has already been reported. And thank God I have the spending alerts on my Capital One credit card or I wouldn't have noticed until it was too late! To make it better, this lady got on the train after me and kept looking over and smiling at me for a few minutes. She got off on the same stop as me coming home and came up to me to tell me she saw the man take something from my purse, but it was too late to do anything about it. I was on the train platform all of 2 maybe 3 minutes. Why do people suck so much? I was almost in frustated tears as I was giving DH the rundown.
@TennisLove30 yes my H travels a lot. He’s been home most of the summer which has been nice. But September - November he will be gone most of the time during the week. It gets so old, but such is life.

Super random but preschool experienced mamas what size backpack did you get for your little ones? My son is 3 and a little over 3ft. I’d prefer to get him a backpack he wouldn’t drown in but if he needs a bigger backpack for school stuff then so be it. I figured he wouldn’t need to fit anything more than papers and folders in it right?
@doodleoodle right?? She should have said something even if the train doors closed! I would have gotten off at the next stop and backtracked! To find the station guards!
@chipsnsalsa20 I work at a preschool. All they will need room for is a change of clothes and artwork they’re bringing home. A small backpack would be perfect. I have seen some kids with a full size backpack and they really struggle to keep it on.

She got off on the same stop as me coming home and came up to me to tell me she saw the man take something from my purse, but it was too late to do anything about it. I was on the train platform all of 2 maybe 3 minutes.
