ILs were supposed to come visit last weekend and we were going to tell them I am pregnant. They didn’t come because when they wanted to come was right at DD’s nap time and they didn’t want “beach traffic” to come any other time. Whatever. Now H will call them this week to tell them. MIL was petty about how we announced pregnancy #1 so hope she isn’t annoying about getting a phone call.
My first appointment is today and I feel nervous about seeing my doctor since he said last time that my body may not tolerate pregnancy again. So it just adds to the fact that this was a huge oops that we were trying to prevent, so I am hoping all is well and my health doesn't cause issues.
Overheard my coworkers talking about how much moving sucks and I realized how much it's especially going to suck with a 2 month old!
DH and I need a 2 bedroom apartment and our lease is up in May. We'll probably have to start looking for a place in February. Our management company always makes us decide a few months early if we're renewing or leaving. So I'll be super pregnant in Chicago winter looking at apartments....that's really gonna suck!!!!
@ibabyloveb87 I moved when I was about 6 months pregnant with my first. It definitely sucks but there are major perks such as you don’t have to help carry anything and you’ll probably get lots of offers to help unpack/organize.
@babyroma a positive of moving with a two month is that they will be too little to be anxious about living somewhere new.
@babyroma that sounds like no fun at all! Hopefully you'll have lots of help.
@brookert615 that sucks that you failed! I went to the lab at the hospital and MH went with me to pass the time and he looked around and whispered to me is everyone here pregnant. We were at the women's hospital so yeah all but 2 patients were there for GTT.

Sooooo my dog chipped my tooth this morning.🤦🏼♀️ He’s not normally a jumper but he was in one of those silly moods. He tried jumping up to lick my face but his big pit bull block head hit my chin, knocking my teeth together. My upper front left tooth now has a small chip missing. Bright side, my dentist can get me in tomorrow morning to file it flat.
@celticknotfire mine is a mix too, with boxer (at least as far as the shelter could tell). He’s the sweetest thing, he’s just such an oaf sometimes. What is yours mixed with?
@daffodil_shoe I'm not too sure. We only have one set of local friends here so it could be iffy. Part of me really just wants to hire professional movers because I'm a wuss and hate lugging stuff up and down 2 flights of stairs Haha. When we moved into this apartment we had both of my BILs in town to help so I didnt do much of the heavy lifting then!
@daffodil_shoe Eeee that's the worst about your tooth! I hope the dentist has it looking nice and new with no issues. @babyroma Team movers! We finally decided we're too old to be paying our friends in beer to thrash our stuff up and down stairs. Best choice ever! Movers are so worth it.
@DDRRT1982 apparently March 12th......... again, but that is confusing since I found out on June 30th.
Well if you were, say, 10 days past ovulation when you found out on June 30th, that would put you at about 7 1/2 weeks today. And babies can measure slightly off in ultrasounds.
@babyroma, we moved when DD was almost 1. We hired movers to pack the house and move. It was honestly the best money we have ever spent. They packed in one day while I was at work and moved us the next morning. So little disruption to our lives!
Ya, my last baby was due March 12 and I found out June 29th at 9 dpo, so not odd if you are 7 weeks. She was born feb 27th at 38 weeks. But, I guess you really are due in March. We’ll miss you if you leave. @sassypants2010
@sassypants2010, Stay! Babies come whenever they want and once we’re all in 2nd and 3rd trimester there will probably be less discussion and importance on exactly what week and day we are.
Did anyone else grow up eating Coco Wheats? It was a Sunday morning treat in our house. I was at the grocery store and saw a box and suddenly craved it so bad. And guess what? One serving gives you 50% of your daily needed folate (which is even better than folic acid). And it’s only as unhealthy as you make it with sugar you add. Yum!
@daffodil_shoe I’ve never heard of Coco Wheats. The only “cocos” I grew up with were the tasty (but not at all healthy) cocoa puffs, cocoa krispees and cocoa pebbles. I’ll have to search for some in the store this weekend!
@lanie1000 it’s a hot cereal you make on the stove, similar to the texture of grits. But they are chocolatey and you add as much or little sugar as you want.
@sassypants2010 you can totally stay! I was in the May 2014 group for my oldest and the first baby was born in March and several were born in June. The birth of these babies will definitely span more than a month!
I think I am finally on the mend with my MS and my pneumonia! Its 1:20 and I haven't thrown up once today! Also can we discuss how clients are legit THE WORST. I have this crazy woman DEMANDING that I call her on her schedule. I'm sorry, I'm a doctor. I have my own schedule and a couple dozen other patients to adhere to today. And I can't even leave her a voicemail because her box is full. Shes a...bad person that I wanna call another name.
Re: Weekly Randoms (7/29-8/4)
@sassypants2010 good luck! Thinking of you.

The bright side is that a 2 month old won’t be able to crawl around and get into trouble? The searching part sounds BRRRRR.
