Hmmm, I guess I will go first. CONFESSION: Last night I was peeling the paper off a leftover cupcake from DS2's bday and I was standing over the trashcan to just toss the paper in once it was off, and I DROPPED the cupcake in the trash.... but since it only fell on top of some damp paper towels I still ate it. Like Miranda from Sex In The City. (Who remembers that!?) ...I ate a cupcake out of the trash and I don't even care.
Confession: I barely contributed to our walking challenge this week with real walking. Mostly just swung my wrist around 😂 we did go for a late night walk with our really fun neighbors on Tuesday though, that was nice! But the rest of this week was a big thumbs down for me. I'll make up for it at work I'm sure.
My builder has until Sunday to complete the yard per his agreement with the town. They had to give the town so much money in escrow so if they don’t do it by the deadline, the town can. They haven’t touched it in weeks, and it’s supposed to storm Saturday. I fully intend to call the town at 9am on Monday to see what they’re going to do to get this done

They had to do it in order to get our certificate of occupancy in order to close... they took so long to get the house done that we had to already extend our mortgage commitment once, and the bank would only let us do it for one more month. I had a feeling it would come to this when the other side of the street got their yards done 3 weeks ago, yet my entire street sits untouched
@cmbt2 well I certainly hope they do. How atrocious to have to stare at your yard and not be able to do anything about it! Add in pregnancy hormones and that makes it much worse😑
UO: I’m in our neighborhood fb group (omg the drama) and it bothers me when people post the location of cops catching people for speeding. It’s usually around our neighborhood, wouldn’t you want those people to slow down?
Confession: some of my friends are throwing me a shower. It’s my 3rd baby. It doesn’t bother me. I have two boys and this one is a girl, my youngest is going on 6 years old, and my friends want to do it. I don’t need a shower but I do like that this baby is being celebrated. 🤷♀️
I did tell them to make it low-key. I just want sherbet punch and to get a cute dress and take pics with my friends while the guys drink and have fun (it’s a couples shower).

I agree about the neighborhood speeders, it makes me so mad. However, I heard once that cops don’t mind when their locations are given away because it makes people slow down anyway which was the point to begin with.

BUT I never imagined I'd have had so much difficulty getting a 2nd baby. Now it feels wrong that she won't be celebrated after all we went though. I feel like it's more deserved then it was for DS.
@prpl11butterfly Maybe have a family BBQ to celebrate the baby, but make it known that it is not a shower, simply a way to see all your family/friends around and let them know that this baby is going to be loved by so many.

SOOOO glad we don't have a neighborhood group 😂 it would be a competition between our two side neighbors over how many guys they have over and who can bitch about the other neighbors more 😂 our neighbors across from us are the best, they just sit back and take it all in 😂 they're the best on our block though. Thankfully we can see the fire department and the police office from our front porch, makes me feel safer. Our other across the street neighbor had a grease fire back in September and she tried to put water on it, resulting in more fire. Thankfully it stayed in the kitchen and no one was hurt but she was on the front lawn screaming at the firemen about how she rents and they need to save her house. That's our kinda drama😂

Confession: I got winded yesterday just trying on maternity pants. It was so much effort trying to get my feet in the right holes and pull the pants up over my butt. I actually had to sit down on the dressing room bench and rest.
If you are growing amazing fruits in your front yard, if you're not planning to eat them yourself you should be required to hang a sign on the gate saying "help yourselves"
My neighbors two doors down have a cherry tree and a redcurrant bush in their front yard. The tree is covered with anti bird net so I feel like they're invested in the fruits, but they've been falling off the tree, over-ripe and unpicked, for a week now. I drool every time I walk by. And the redcurrant bush is like RIGHT by the sidewalk. I wouldn't even have to stretch out my hand to pick them.
I stopped by my high school to grab a few things to plan at home. It's basically deserted right now, and I've been pretty constipated lately, so when my coffee hit, I obviously used the staff bathroom rather than drive 10 minutes home. I very nearly clogged and flooded the toilet, and I'm not sure the facilities staff is actively checking them since my wing is officially closed for floor refinishing, etc. Thank goodness it eventually went down!
@cmbt2 I'm pretty weird about eggs too. I can only eat them in certain preparations and I mostly have to make them myself.
Which brings me to my UO: I don't like brunch! I hate going out for it ... I think of it as overpriced, old food and I don't like feeling so full and miserable the rest of the day. Plus I also hate mimosas.

@obsessedwithoranges, there's a vineyard near me that has a great brunch, and they make a house mimosa with their sparkling white wine. It's different from a mimosa because it's not as bubbly, but it is soooooo good. I bet it would fit the bill for your bougie tastes 😉
Mimosas are one of my all time favorite drinks, but I prefer them with prosecco instead of champagne, and pretty much any fruit juice. Peach or pineapple are probably tied for my favorite.

I'm bougie af about this as well, so I endorse this portion of your opinion. But you are dead wrong about brunch in general.
@grapeskittles4lyfe just take the fruit! Especially if it just falls off. Take some that has recently fallen. They probably won't see and if they do, just wave and smile. My neighborhood is full of citrus trees and once I saw some guys coming around to collect from different trees. They said it was for the elderly neighbors, which I think is sweet. I said they could take my lemons! I feel like this about rosemary and mint. Or lavender, or whatever other herbs typically grow in the neighborhood. People should just be able to come and get some. No questions asked. 'Specially rosemary cause that shit gets huge.

Mimosas are one of my all time favorite drinks, but I prefer them with prosecco instead of champagne, and pretty much any fruit juice. Peach or pineapple are probably tied for my favorite.
